User restricted by doc type

hi,
weather a user can be restricted to one document type or a material type in the releasing statergy.
Thanks and Regards
santosh kumar

Hi,
You should try to control it in the Characteristic value of a particular Release group where the user is linked. Here against the Characteristic Order Type give the value of the document types which should be allowed and remove other document types .
There is no object in Release strategy authorisation for Document type or material type as it contains only Release code & Release group.

  • Purchase group restrict with doc type

scenario is this like i want to restrict purchase grp with doc type wise, suppose i want purchase group <b>"abc"</b> should not be used in doc type "<b>FO"</b>
then what setting should i do?

this you can only do with the basis person who has authorisation to make changes in user t.codes.
in t.code PFCG, give the user role for which you want to restrict this and then choose display, goto authorisation tab and click n the display authorisation data button, here at the top you can find the organiztional levels button, you can restrict the purchasing group here itself by not specifying it in the list, thus for all t.codes he will not have authorisation for this purchasing group.
then choose the MAterials Management : Purchasing node, here choose the Document Type in Purchase Order to give the doc. types allowed to user and Purchasing Group in Purchase Order to limit the pur. groups.

  • Restrict certain Doc. Types in Purchase Req. ME53N

    Hi All,
My requirement is to restrict display of document types with descriptions "Do Not Use" in the ME53N drop down list .
I know we can have authorization object " M_BANF_BSA " but this will not allow user to select Doc types and these doc types will appear in drop dawn.
Is there any way to filter out doc types from appearing in ME53N drop dawn list for document types.
I tried with implicit enhancement where I delete the Doc type  details if they contain pattern "Do Not Use" after selecting from T161T but it's still appearing
    in drop down.
Does anybody know how to achieve this..
    Regard,
    Sachin

    Hi Raymond,
Thanks for your reply.. But for 1 client I can see certain Doc type in ME53N while for other I see different. Those doc types are different in number for both clients. ! contains custom doc type while the other does not..
How that display of Doc types display  is controlled then ...

  • Urgent: backend PO/PR doc type

    Hi,
I am confused and need to check!
Currently we have configured the transaction type for backend doc in users attributes. this doc type is for backend PR (ABP). config says if complete then PO otherwise PR..back end PO doc type is ACBP and it is not set in attributes
when we order SC having valid source (R/3 contract) it auto picks up PO doc type ACBP in one system and creates PO. Is this doc type coming from R/3 doc type linkage or any other place. Pls help
    Alok

I could find the mapping done in the PO change BADI..But I would like to ask, is there a standard function like giving both doc type in the attributes or only way is to configure the same doc type in R/3?
    Thanks!

  • Restrict the payments according to Doc types while F110 PAYMENT RUN

    dears
While doing F110 (Automatic payment run) we want  restrict the payment as - the sytem should  pick only  a particular document type (WE  type)  sitting as open item  or  a particular document type for a particular vendor sitting as as open item?
For example KR DOC types  only need to  pick for a vendor code "XXXXX"
For this what setting is required at FBZP (Automatic payment ment Programme settng) and / or at any other area like XK02 (vendor master data) ?

    Hello,
You dont need to make any changes in FBZP or vendor master. In F110, in the "Free selection" tab, in the Field selection do F4, choose Document type & in the values field give the Document type you want to include in the Proposal.
In the next line you can again choose the Field name as "Document type" with exclude tick, you can give the document type you dont require.
Save the proposal & run the payment run.
    Hope this helps.

  • Restriction of Document type

    Dear Sir
we have created document type by one user and i want to restrict for other user for change in that document type with user specific
eg. user 1 created document with doc type dev and save
user 2 has creation authorisation of save doc type but he/she should not have authorisation to edit user 1 docue

If I have understood your requirement correctly, you want to say that:
There are two users say, USER1 & USER2 & both use same document type, say DC1.
For example, USER1 has created a DIR with doc. type DC1. And you want to restrict changing of this DIR by USER2 & viceversa.
If this is your requirement, then what you can do is, you can utilize the "Authorization Group" functionality in DMS.
Create two different Authorization groups for USER1 & USER2. For example, create Authorization group AUT1 for USER1 & Authorization group AUT2 for USER2.
In roles & authorizations, you create two different roles. For USER1 you assign the Authorization group AUT1 in object BEGRU
For USER2 you assign the Authorization group AUT2 in object BEGRU.
Once you do this & assign roles to respective users, USER1 can create the DIR with doc type DC1 & enter the Authorization group AUT1 & saves it. Now even if USER2 tries to open it, he/she can't access it, since her roles do not have authorization for the Authorization group AUT1.
The same thing works for USER2. Say, if USER2 creates DIR with Authorization group AUT2, USER1 can't access it.
This is the only way, that you can control it.
Otherwise, you may need to create two different Document types for USER1 & USER2 depending on your business requirement.
    I hope this helps.

  • Making and instanciate Custom Doc type

In my Java code for creating some custom types is it necessary to creaate my Custom type definision class and pass it to LibrarySession create public object method like when I create Document object with DocumentDefinition class
    Is this the only way?
    Tanks

    Hi friends,
This can be done bu checking enhacement point while saing the PO. Write your logic accordingly in this.
By adding the doc. type in release characteristic, we can't restrict the user to user release order from a contract.

  • KR doc type posted without vendor line item a mandatory item category

    Hello Gurus,
We have SPL document splitter activated in our ECC system. We have the business transaction variant 0300 / Z001 assigned to doc type KR. The vendor line is obligatory in the above business transaction variant (BTV). THe splitting rule is also assigned for this BTV.
THe problem is that despite having the vendor as obligatory for this BTV, we are able to post the doc type KR (vendor invoice) without the vendor line item e.g.. doc with doc type KR and debit and credit to expense a/c.
Please share your experience if anyone has come across this issue,
    Prakash

    Hi,
To make the vendor line mandatory for KR document type, you can write the validation as below:-
    Step 1:-
Create a message ID via transaction code SE91 for message class /EACC/MSG/ACC_COMP as you want to display to user.
    Step 2:-
Go to transaction GGB0 and create the validation step at complete document level in Financial Accounting as below:-
    Pre Requisits:-
    BKPF-BLART = 'KR'.
    Check:-
Create a exit code using user exit and check that line items have at least one vendor line item.
For this take the help of ABAPer and create a copy of the program RGGBR000 and code your check here and assign to the application area GBLR in view V_T80D via transaction code SM30.
    Message:-
Message created in step 1 as error message.
    Step 3:-
Please also check that this validation has active status (Status=1) at line complete document level (level 3) for your company code in transaction OB28.

  • How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU ?

    Dear Guys,
I would like to ask about the Expenditure Types,
I have implemented two projects for different Operating Units ,
when navigating to any Projects responsibilty, and navigating the Expenditure Type field
the values exist are all the values implemented across the OU not the values entered at this OU
How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU
    Regards
    Amr Hussien

    Hello
When you set up a project there is an option called Transaction Control.
This option allow you to list the allowed or restricted elements of costs for the project.
You may enter the transaction control on a project template and that will be copied to any new project.
The cost elements may be expenditure types, expenditures categories, suppliers, employees, etc.
In your case, I suggest to set up specific project templates for each operating units. On each template enter the list of allowed expenditures types for that OU.
Doing so, the system restricts users from entering any expenditure item, supplier invoice, purchase cost etc, against an expenditure type, which is not allowed.
