Use
You can define a special authorization for every document type. To do this, you need to determine what document types in which
form employees are allowed to process. Authorizations are checked for the following activities:
Posting documents
Document display and line item display
Changing documents
Programs that evaluate documents.
The system does not check the authorization for document types that are not assigned an authorization group.
Procedure
In Customizing for Financial Accounting, carry out the activity Maintain Enter an authorization group in the document type. You then assign autho For each document type, you can specify whether users are required to enter.
The same for check of the authorizations of gl accounts.
PLease check in OMR4 and in OBA7 that for the document types the athorizations groups are maintained.
F_BKPF_BLA Accounting Document: Authorization for Document Type
F_BKPF_BES Accounting Document: Account Authorization for G/L Account.
For example:
The transaction FB01 includes the above objects - you can see this in Trx. SU24, also as transaction F-02 is a parameter transaction with the original being FB01 these objects would be valid for F-02 also.

Restricting Document type in F-63

Hi All,
Please help as this is required to restrict Document Type in F-63 ,our requirement is that we want to create some new roles and in that we can only process for one Document type say "ZA" only and that document type shud be by default set in the F-63, i know the object responsible for this is F_BKPF_BAL with actvt 01,02,03,04,06.08,10,22,43,77 but this object is not maintained in F-63 .
Please help with the max possibile way to restrict the same along with the actvt field . Or is there any other way to achieve the goal.

As you Pointed out the Object F_BKPF_BLA is the one which Check/Maintaines the Accounting Document: Authorization for Document Types
The object consists of the "Authorization group" and "Activity" fields. The authorization group can be freely defined by the user. You take the possible input values for the "Activity" field from table TACTZ.
If you want to use this authorization, proceed as follows: Defined by SAP
Enter an authorization group for the document types that are to be specially protected.
Define the authorization that you want to assign to selected employees, in which you list the authorization groups and the activities allowed.
Allocate this authorization using the corresponding profile.

Hi Manish,
Information Rights Management is the only way to protect the documents and don't allow user save document in his/her system. You need to setup IRM on your network and the enable it in Central Administration.

I had a drive failure and lost the iWeb file along with other things. I did manage to save a lot of user file documents but I don't see or recognize the my iWeb site file. It was on a 15" G4 Titanium pb. I'm trying to find a way, using version 2.0.4

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

Error message 'Could not save to path /Users/yogasail/Documents/' appeared and cannot save files?

I have an iMac 21.5 running OS X 10.9.4:Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5:Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I have suddenly got this message every time I try to save a file -'Could not save to path /Users/yogasail/Documents/Emma/xxxx.rtf. Choose a different path.' Unable to save anything now?? Can anybody help?

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.

what should be the content of the end users training document for the BASIS module . Is there any template available on the SAP site.

Hi,
End user training document could also include materials which users will need for working with SAP, whether it is a task-based User Guide, Online Help, or simple Quick Reference Cards.
The training document could also include tutorial interactive simulation. It simulate the user's working environment exactly, thus enabling the employees to easily familiarize themselves with new programs and processes without affecting a productive system.

i have configured LSO and now my client want me to prepare end user training documents, please provide your inputs and guide me on how to prepare them , and some good tips on how to conduct the training

Whenever you are preparing an end user manual first you need to identify the roles, I mean we need to identify the activities to be performed, who is going to perform those activities and steps to perform those activities.
Here we go, If we look at your thread you would want to prepare LSO End user manual, for this module the roles could be as follows:
1. Training Administrator
2. Booking Administrator
3. Learner (Internal/External)
4. Billing Administrator
The following activities could be performed by the above roles.
1. TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR : Prepare an end user document for this administrator by explaining the Catalog Preparation Process such as creation of Course Group, Course Type (with different delivery methods, payment methods etc) and Creation of courses.
2. BOOKING ADMINISTRATOR : Prepare an end user document for this administrator by explaining the
different registration processes such as Classroom for externals, classroom for internal employees, E-learning for external, Remote/Virtual Classroom for externals and internals etc.
3. LEARNER : Explain the steps to access the courses created by the training administrator (for ex: provide the link, show the course group, course type and course descritpion, course fee, course days etc...) and also explain the online booking process
4. BILLING ADMINISTRATOR : Explain the steps to bill the course (different invoice models) for external peoples and explain the procedure of Activity Allocation for the internal employee courses.
Please close this thread if you got clarifications on how to prepare end user manual for LSO processes. It is obvisouly not possible for anybody to give exact end user manual for any module, since the processes followed by companies are different from each other.

There's no unmanaged Web Intelligence functionality support via .NET as far as I know.

Override User Restrictions (N Characters) for select users in BOXI R2

We have a requirement to display Crystal Reports passed from BMC Remedy Mid-Tier to BMC Remedy AR Web Report Viewer to BOXI. The AR Web Report Viewer will only pass along 11 characters of the password and the BOXI system is set to require a minimum of 15. Is there a way to override the application set 15 character user restriction for 1 user?

You can't override this for a single user. N characters is applicable to all Enterprise accounts. However there is a trick to create a user account with a password that is less than 15 characters. You can lower the number of required characters to 11, create the user account and then change the number back to 15. Make sure that for this particular user you uncheck the feature that you need to change the password at first logon. Changing the number back to 15 will have no effect on already existing user accounts that have a password which is less then 15 characters.

Given that the file is selected then the next possibility is that you're exporting two files with the same name. When you do this the export breaks down as the second file would overwrite the first. Check the filenames.

i have plan to create dummy user like oracle on Linux box, so developer will use this dummy user and logging to oracle BOX and take the dump.
I have created one user "TEST" in linux OS.
but what is the next?
what priviledge is requred or take dump from other linux user?

Why do you think you need to create a 'dummy' OS account? export and import a simply client applications. They connect to the database using normal database account credentials. The OS account has nothing to do with it. The developers don't even need an OS account at all, as they can run imp from their oracle client-enabled desktops.
