User & Role mapping - EP

Hi,
How do I create roles and map them to users on Enterprise Portal. We are on CRM 5.0 and EP 6
Thanks
Guest01

Thx Gregor, I have now changed my screen name. It was a lazy work on my part that I opened my user with guest and continued the same.
We actually dont have any portal administrator at the moment and I need to take this mantle for some time. I will explore the user mapping as suggested by you.
thanks
Kumar

  • Table that stores the business role and user id mapping

    Hi,
    i want to know the table that stores the Business role and the business role and user id mapping in CRM system.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Pricy

    Hi Mary,
    There is no direct table but there is a way to find it.
    HRP1263 is the table where business roles are stored when maintained at org level. These are stored against the Position.
    For getting user ID and position linkage refer table HRP1001.
    In HRP1001 table use below criteria to get the User and Position.
    OTYPE = CP
    SCLAS = US
    SOBID = User ID
    ENDDA = 31.12.9999
    Get the OBJID
    Query the HRP1001 table again with following
    OTYPE = CP
    OBJID = OBJID from above Query
    ENDDA = 31.12.9999
    SCLAS = S
    SOBID = Thats Position.
    Pass the position to HRP1263 as below.
    OTYPE = S
    OBJID = POSITION
    PROFILE - Thats business role assigned for the given position and user.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • User roles and role mapping

    I've just start as an intern in Change Management team that is helping to implement SD. My two tasks are to "develop SAP user roles specific to the new business processes" and "manage the role to position mapping for provision of security roles." None of the real employees in my team has ever done this, and my manager is now on three weeks leave. I'm new to SAP and I don't really know where to start. Can anyone offer any advice, or point me to some references? Thanks.

    Intern,
    Its a pretty cold manager who will dump a task on a inexperienced subordinate without any guidance or mentoring,  and then take three weeks off.
    Anyhow, you first need to get some insights as to what the expectations of the client are:  What type of users will there be?  What tasks will each user be responsible for carrying out?
    You also will want to collect a list of names of the actual users. Your Basis people will tell you which bits of data will have to be collected in order to create users on the system
    Next, you need to talk to the SD expert on your team about the solutions that will be implemented.  Quotes? Consignment? Scheduling agreements? Pricing? Customer Service? Marketing?  Customer Master? Material Master? The SD expert should be able to tell you at a very minimum which transactions should be made available.
    There are standard roles available delivered in the system.  These are pretty much un-usable as delivered, but they make a good starting point.  Review http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/b4/3f9c41919eae5fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    and
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/06/57683801b5c412e10000009b38f842/frameset.htm
    Once you have all the info needed from the client and your SD experts, you then design the supporting roles at a high level. I usually use an Excel Spreadsheet with two tabs:  One tab listing roles to be developed, with all the transactions and authorization object limitations for each one;  and another tab listing Users and the supporting data needed to create a user.  If you are a Basis expert, you already know the next steps.  If not, then you typically hand your designs to the Basis team for creation of the actual Roles.
    Good luck.  Remember not to treat your interns the same way you have been treated.

    Hi All,
    Hi All,
    I got the solution.
    In the User Administration --> Identity Management, search the user or group or role then click on the result list item then you will get the details.
    There you can find the following TABs for user/group/role.
    1. General Information
    2. Account Information
    3. Contact Information
    4. Additional Information
    5. Assigned Roles
    6. Assigned Groups
    7. User Mapping for System Access
    User Mapping is one of the TAB(7th). Click on that User Mapping TAB

  • Is it possible to modify the tag structure tree and the role map via scripting?

    We use unstructured FrameMaker to produce training materials which we distribute as tagged PDF to meet accessibility requirements.
    When FrameMaker creates a tagged PDF, it does a fairly good job of populating the structure based on the PDF setup information for the paragraph formats in the FrameMaker documents. However, there are some limitations in the support that FrameMaker provides. For example, almost all paragraphs are assigned to the P role even if they are headings and should be mapped to H1-H6.
    We want to be able to easily post-process a PDF that has been generated from FrameMaker to fix some of the tag structure issues (including tag names and the role map) so that the PDF will provide the optimum experience for a user of the JAWS screen reader.
    I spent some time reading the SDK documentation but didn't find much information about manipulating a tagged PDF via the API, especially via scripting.
    Does anyone have any examples or references which explain how to do it?

    AFAIK, it's not possible with a script. You might want to ask in the SDK forum, as it could be possible with a plugin.

  • User roles in Integration Repository

    Hi everybody,
    does anybody have experience with user roles in XI 3.0? We want to limit access to various namespaces in the Integration Repository with use of these roles that can be created in the IR. That way, various XI developers working on the same XI-Repository should not be able to work in the namespaces of other developers.
    We created the role in the IR and assigned it to a user in the J2EE Engine. But so far, it doesn't seem to work.
    Am I missing something??
    Thanks a lot,
    Francis Wolf

    Hi,
    it looks like the integration to the "abap" backend (=IS-Server) is missing.
    J2EE-R3 integration regards user management maps R3 roles onto J2EE user groups. Thus, if the term "role" is used in R3 context, it has to be translated to "user group" in J2EE.
    Next steps:
    1. Create user in "R3", with transaction SU01.
    2. In "R3", create a role with transaction PFCG
    3. UME Admin WebApp: assign role to user group
    4. XI Exchange Profile WebApp: activate data-dependent authorization checks. Put: com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation" in section "IntegrationBuilder.Repository" to true
    Please check the documentation on Netweaver security and Integration of UME Roles with SAP Roles
    Hope that gives an idea!
    Good luck

  • Structural Authorisation & Position Based Role Mapping ( Indirect Roles)

    Hi
    I have few queries on Structural Authorization & Position Based Role Mapping (Indirect Role Assignment).
    This is a public sector implementation. We are migrating from the traditional based (assigning roles to users) to Indirect role assignment.
    1. Can we integrate both structural authorizations and position based role mapping in one system?
    2. If we implement structural authorizations and position based role mapping in a single system, then do we need to assign the role to the chief position or it would automatically have the authorizations which are assigned to the users below chief position.
    3. First step do we need to create the users in SU01 / SU10 or can we create the entries in PA30. Which one comes first or both independent.
    4. If the user moves from one position to the another position then there would need to be a grace period of shift over of Roles. Where do we maintain the shift over value of days. Do we need to maintain in both.
    Any help or suggestions on the above would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards
    Arun R

    Hi
    1. Can we integrate both structural authorizations and position based role mapping in one system?
    Yes you can.  Structural authorisations and position based role mapping can be assigned to the same org plan in SAP.
    2. If we implement structural authorizations and position based role mapping in a single system, then do we need to assign the role to the chief position or it would automatically have the authorizations which are assigned to the users below chief position.
    No, the SAP role is unique to the postion it is assigned to. But remember not all employees will be assigned to a position - in this case you have to assign the sap role directly to the user in SU01/SU01
    3. First step do we need to create the users in SU01 / SU10 or can we create the entries in PA30. Which one comes first or both independent.
    Create user in SU01.SU10 first before creating infotype 105 in PA30.
    4. If the user moves from one position to the another position then there would need to be a grace period of shift over of Roles. Where do we maintain the shift over value of days. Do we need to maintain in both.
    *When a users assignment in the org structure changes then you must run RHRPROFL0 to update the user assignment to the new position.
    Also the number of days an employee can have access to their previous data is controlled by the parameter is called ADAYS - tx OOAC .  SAP currently defaults this to 15 days and this is used  to control the number of days that the employee can still access the data they created even though they are assigned to a different organisation with different authorisations.
    Hope this helps.

  • LDAP Authentication / User-Role in a database (Weblogic Security)

    Hi,
    I would like to configure the Authentication with an LDAP Server (LDAP Authenticator) and the mapping between users and roles in an external database.
    I saw the following post, http://biemond.blogspot.com/2008/12/using-database-tables-as-authentication.html.
    According to the previous post, I created an LDAP Authenticator (trying to use embedded LDAP) and a SQL Authenticator.
    The problem is that it doesn't uses LDAP Authentication, it only uses SQL Authentication.
    I'm looking for a solution where password would remain in the LDAP Server and the username/role mapping would be in the database tables.
    Consider I'm using WLS 10.3 and JDeveloper 11g.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Olga

  • Trying to understand "User/Role/Profile Synchronization" and Batch Analysis

    Hello,
    Im trying to understand what exactly and from which tables these jobs are copying to which tables in CC. I have a understanding that these jobs are moving also deleted roles from backend. This is causing unnecessary delay to long lasting job.
    I would appreasite if some one could explain the logic behind these jobs. What the fullsync and incremental is reading ? What kind of changes are causing a role/user/profile  to be included to the full and incremental jobs?
    How the incremental analysis logic is built ?
    br Janne

    Janne,
    In my current implementation we are going for an offline risk analysis due to the heteregoneus system landscape of our client (several SAP and non SAP systems and several SAP systems under 4.6C). Eventhough within our approach we don't perfrom the backend synchronization (we use CC data extractor to pull data from backend into CC) hope the following info could hel you:
    The tables such jobs you mention access to, are all the SAP backend system tables related with users, roles, profiles, action and permissions. If you check the data mapping appendix of the "user and configuration guide for 5.2" you will see all the data that CC retrieves. For instance, in order to extract user info (UserID, FName, LName, Email, Phone, Email, Department) tables USR21, USR02, ADRP, ADR6 and ADCP must be accessed.
    In terms of CC tables:
    VIRSA_CC_SYSUSR >> UserIDs and Systems ID relationship
    VIRSA_CC_GENOBJ >> User, Role and Profile master data
    VIRSA_CC_GENACT >> User-action, role-action and profile-action data
    VIRSA_CC_GENPRM >> User-permission, role-permission and profile-permission
    VIRSA_CC_SAPOBJ >> Action-permission
    VIRSA_CC_OBJTEXT >> Objects descripcions (ACT, PRM, FLD, VAL, ORG)
    Hope this helps.

  • ¿How to use user-roles in Ironport WSA (7.6) using ACS 4.1?

    Hello,
    I want to give a client access to a S370 WSA quarantine and I am using an ACS 4.1 for external authentication; that would be used for administrators and for the client access (non-administration access).
    I have created a user-role in the WSA that has access to the quarantine I want, but I need the user to be in the ACS. I created the user in ACS but my question is, what should I configure or change in the ACS in order for the WSA to recognize the user with the specific role I created and not like an administrator role.
    Thanks for your help!
    Sergio

    Hi,
    This can be done by configuring the Radius Class attribute on the ACS and mapping it with the user roles on the WSA.
    "To map RADIUS users to different Web Security appliance user role types, you assign a role type, such
    as Administrator and Operator, to a RADIUS CLASS attribute. Mapping different role types lets you
    specify the authorization level for each RADIUS user."
    Please go to Page 26-12 of the WSA user guide http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/security/wsa/wsa7-5/user_guide/WSA_7-5-0_UserGuide.pdf for more information under the section "Using External Authentication".

    Kush

  • GoldenGate replication of creating users, roles

    System Specs:
    O/S : RHEL 5 (Tikanga)
    RDBMS: 11.2.0.3 (Standalone, ASM, Archivelog)
    GoldenGate v:11.1.1.0 (getting ready to upgrade to v11.1.1.2 (want to utilize the ADD SCHEMATRANDATA and updated sequence support)
    I have read the documentation in GG that says that DDL support Oracle restricted schemas is not supported (including sys and system). From this document a create statement is considered DDL.
    However, I have to think that when a user or role is created on the Source that you want that action replicated to the Targets? So you don't have to rerun the action on the number of targets you have. This is the benefit of replication, correct?
    Without this ability replication is somewhat restrictive.
    Please someone shed some light on how a user/role statement could be replicated?
    Thanks!
    Jason

    Okay, so I reviewed the documentation and need some help in replicating DDL for 2 schemas.
    Here is my Extract and Replicat modules
    EXTRACT EXT1
    USERID ggs_owner, PASSWORD ggs_owner
    RMTHOST db2, MGRPORT 7809
    RMTTRAIL /home/oracle/goldengate/dirdat/gg
    ---ddl---
    DDL INCLUDE MAPPED
    ---dml---
    table schema1.*;
    table exclude schema1.*_sq;
    REPLICAT REP1
    ASSUMETARGETDEFS
    USERID ggs_owner, PASSWORD ggs_owner
    DDL INCLUDE MAPPED
    DDLERROR DEFAULT IGNORE RETRYOP
    REPERROR (1403, DISCARD)
    MAP schema1.*, TARGET schema1.* ;
    MAP schema2.*, TARGET schema2.*;
    My issue is that ddl replication is only working for schema1. No ddl is being replicated with schema2. I know there must be a something small I am overlooking.
    I was successful with
    DDL INCLUDE ALL, EXCLUDE "schema3.*, EXCLUDE "schema4.*", EXCLUDE "schema5.*", etc...
    However, I don't want to list out every schema that could potentially perform ddl. I would think the DDL INCLUDE MAPPED and then include those schemas that you want mapped.
    Any ideas?

  • End User Roles Tab: Link to security roles on ECC?

    Hi-
    There is a configurable value in the End User Roles tab where you can populate Roles. However when you select the values they only pull in roles loaded on the SolMan system. How can I access roles in target systems, so they can be mapped to my process hierarchy?

    Hi
    what do u mean by target systems... satellites systems.......i think you are confused somehow
    this tab is used for learning map user roles
    check this out and read it completely

    Learning map use
    You want to send the learning map to a group of users with the same business role, e.g. to all accountants in your company, or to the purchasing department. You copy existing business roles in the Solution Manager, or create new ones.
    Hpoe it clarifies ur doubt

  • User Role problems in Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition 8

    I am having two problems setting up user roles in Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition 8. At first, I thought that it was a problem with the higher level features that I was using, so I created a very simple example using the simplest authentication I can use, but the problem still occurs. I am using the file realm and configuring the users in the App Server Admin Console. I create 2 users in different roles. One user should have access, the other should not.
    1) The first problem is that both users can access the page
    2) The second problem is that the isUserInRole() method returns false for both users with the role that it should be authenticating against.
    Here is a sample of my code:
    Users Configured in Console:
    username password roles
    user1 ********** admin
    user2 ********** noaccess
    web.xml

    Thanks before hand for any responses.

    Hi Jeanfrancois,
    Your suggestion has lead me to find my problem. There were actually three problems.
    1) First, you suggestion to reorder my xml file did not cause any errors to occur. I got suspicious that my web.xml file was wrong. I looked at some sample web-xml files and found that I was missing the header as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN' 'http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd'>
    2) When I added this information, the deploy feature failed stating the my web.xml file was out of order. I fixed the ordering. It now deployed, but the security still wasn't working.
    3) I then added the sun-web.xml file. This file was missing before hand as I thought it was unnessary. However, this file added the essential mapping from a role to a group. After adding this, it now started to work.
    Thanks so much for you time and effort. You really did help me.
