User status or user exit

Dear Gurus,
My client requirement is
If my production order status is MSPT(Material shortage),CNF and PCNF should not be possible.Please suggest If any body come accross this situation with user exit or user status please forward the solution to [email protected] help since its very urgent in client side.

You can select to terminate confirmation of goods movements in OPK4. Pls go to the General Individual Entry tab in OPK4 and select Termination for incorrect goods movts.
So if someone tries to confirm an order with missing parts, it will terminate the confirmation.

In Service Orders - Adding addition status in User Status Profile

Hi Guyds,
I have a question.
Customer have a requirement where, in repair process when they receive the defective device (equipment) thru return delivery they want to put the device in contamination. And once the contamination is done they want to stage the device for repair. They are asking how can this requirement be met or mapped in SAP system? I suggested we can define additional user statuses in user status profile. Like when the device is received the user can manually set the user status as "Put to decontamination" status in service order. And once the decontamination is complete, then user can manually set another user status as "Decontamination complete" (just as an example). Customer has agreed with this suggestion.
Now, my question is I can meet this requirement by adding addtional statuses to the user profile and then assigning the user profile to service order right? And as customer has agreed that user will have to manually set these statuses in service order, so customizing/configuring the status profile should suffice right? Or do I have to perform any enhancement? Please advice but remember that the customer has agreed to setting the user status manually, automation is not required. So, in this case do I still have to go for any enhancement to meet this requirement or can I do it just by defining extra statuses in user status profile.
Please guide me. Appreciate your help.

As you correctly pointed out user status will be straight answer. there is no enhancement required. you have to create the user status and assign the same for the order type .
also you can automate to some extent ex while order created you can make the "Put to decontamination" as initial and while releasing the order you can automate that "device for repair" will be set on releasing

As told by Ajay , after assigning Status Profile in OPJH you can assign User Status to production order as below:
Pls. go through the following procedure for activating the User Status :
Activating User Statuses
Use
You can activate a user status at order header and at operation level.
Procedure
Order Header Level
Go to the order header.
Choose .
Choose Edit ® Direct entry.
The system displays a dialog box in which you can select the permitted user statuses.
Position the cursor on the required user status and choose Choose .
Operation Level
Go to the operation overview.
Select the operation in question.
Choose .
Choose Edit ® Direct entry.
The system displays a dialog box in which you can select the permitted user statuses.
Position the cursor on the required user status and choose Choose .
Pls. follow the above procedure as per rquirement and set user status accodingly.

When I am trying to set the first status (OPEN) to the notification, it works fine but even after I am assigning the order to this notification, put notification in process, assign equipment I cannot set the next status (i.e., RUNG) it is showing me the following error:
"Status RUNG is not allowed (QNF 100000000000) " -> ->
Diagnosis
The user status 'RUNG' has reference number 02. In the current object status 'QNF 100000000000', the reference number of a status may not be higher than 01.
Procedure
You can only set user status whose reference number is not higher than 01.
please help me solving this question its a bit urgent.

ISSUE IN USER STATUS IN WCD IN WCM

Hi experts ,
i am facing an issue in wcd(work clearance document). i set user status and when that user status is active user is unable to do untagging, temporarily untagging. but due to some issue i deleted that user status and assign again. but after deletion when i create same user status with same checks system does not perform checks, it allows user to do untagging when that is active. please help me i am stucked very badly and not able to go ahead.

in my business scenarion tagging and untagging is done by respective department like mech , elec. after approval of operation department. i used two user status in user status profile INIT & work completed. init in initial status when wcd is created. when initail is active untemporarily tagging , utang, temporarily untag & untagged business transaction can not be performed. change of user status is only given to operation department. when operation department change the user status to work completed of wcd item after that respective department able to do untemporarily tagging , utang, temporarily untag & untagged business transaction. but when i create check at wcd item leve it dosnt work.
object type assigned in oibs is wcd item only
in starting when make ths check by user status at wcd item level , it is working fine but after deletion i reassigned the same it it not working.
then i try to assign it at wcd header it also not working.
kindly help. if u want to take my sytem on remote i can do the same

User status in E-business suite shows external instead of active

we have this ERP database on RAC along with SSO on it .
Now we are facing issue of user status in User Define status Shows external.
What needs to be done so that all the user account shows status either active or inactive and then we can change the Password.

User status with authorization key

Good day experts!
I have user status schema with users status. Each status have Z authorization key. I add authorization object B_USERSTAT in my SRM role. But SAVE rfx or choose user status in "user-specified status" not react on my auth key.
How can i limit user status for my role?

Hi,
In user status per status there is a auth. code field. So the user needs to be authorized to set or delete the status if a auth. code is maintained for the status.
The object is B_USERSTAT. Give your specifications to your basis person & it should be possible.

If your requirement is to set the check the HTS field in the material master, you can make the field as Mandatory without which the Material cant be saved
You can make this field mandatory in OMS9 transaction code with field status as 89 and the field is MARC-STAWN

I want to check the current user status of notification while saving the notificaton. If the current user status satisifies particular situation, then the notification should be save else not.
Is there any user exit or Badi which can be used to control the change of user status in notification.

the problem over here is that the BADi IQS0_STATUS_MAINTAIN only allows to disable the user status.
the other function module STATUS_READ only fetches the data from JEST.
whereas my problem is that i want to check on the changed status on the screen(which is not saved also).

I am looking for an EXIT or a BADI or an enhancement point specifically for user status change in an order thru IW31/IW32.
I have the exit names for Order PBO, PAI, 'SAVE' event etc. so m not looking for generic answers.
I have to put some validations for the Order on USER STATUS CHANGE. Let me know if any of u have any pointers on that.

Use this Enhancement IWO10009 and call these function module to change the User Status
STATUS_TEXT_EDIT --> To Read the existing status.
STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN_VB --> to change the status.

Is the Sales Order Item User Status available in user exit MV45AFZZ

Hello,
Does anyone know if a sales order line item user status is available within user exit MV45AFZZ (USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT)?
I need to send an email when the status changes from one specific value to another specific value but I don't seem to have access to what the latest value is in this user exit.
I have found a table XTVSTAT which cntains some user status' but it's not clear which status maps to which line item.
If anyone has any suggestion please let me know.

I do need to access the values as I need to check for a specific change to the user status from value A to value B.
I have already tried debugging the user exit and searching through the available variables but the status information doesn't seem to be available.
I guess I will have to try the output determination route. Can you explain this in a bit more detail please.

User exit to set user status

We have a requirement to implement our own status management for SD orders. I have configured a new SD item object status profile in transaction BS02. Now I need to program the logic to update the item object status when the user is saving the sales order. I have looked at the relevant user exits in MV45AFZZ, but not found a way to update the item status upon saving.
Has anyone faced a similar problem and know a good way to update the item object status upon sales order save?

I had accomplished this requirement as follows.
Step 1:-
There is an SAP function module STATUS_UPDATE. This FM should be invoked in update task.
Reason: SAP internally invokes this FM as an update task during the Sales order save process. Hence your updates should follow SAP's status update process.
Step 2:
Created a report program with 2 form routines to export and import JEST entries as follows.
form set_usrstat tables it_jest_upd structure jest_upd.
Export internal table into memory
export it_jest_upd to memory id 'it_jest_upd'.
Execute only after the next commit statement
perform zset_status on commit.
endform.
*&      Form set_status
      Form for updating status after commit
form zset_status.
data: it_jest_ins like jest_upd occurs 0,
      it_jest_upd like jest_upd occurs 0 with header line,
      it_jsto_ins like jsto occurs 0,
      it_jsto_upd like jsto_upd occurs 0,

Import data from Memory
import it_jest_upd from memory id 'it_jest_upd'.
Run function module to update the status
CALL FUNCTION 'STATUS_UPDATE' in update task

If you want to set a user status fill the i_jest_upd internal table accordingly and invoke the perform statement as follows.

You may need to use user exit QQMA0014 (Checks before saving a notification) and in that u need to use FM STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN - to set or delete user status ..
