User Survey

Hi,
I'm currently evaluating Jato to determine whether it might be
appropriate as a basis for several new applications we are developing.
I'm interested to hear what others think of Jato, both positive and
negative. Hear are some questions to get people started.
1. Were you are former NetDynamics user?
2. What do you like about the JATO framework?
3. What do you dislike about the JATO framework?
4. Are you currently using JATO in a production environment?
5. What kinds of applications are you using JATO to develop?
6. Have you used any other frameworks (e.g.: Struts), and if so which
are you currently using and why?
7. Are you concerned that JATO isn't open source? (source is
available, but only at a price)
Feel free to add any other comments that you might think are useful.
Thanks,
Gregg Fowler

    Dynamic User Survey Portlet. I want to create a dynamic survey in oracle portals.
    The administrator should be able to specify the questions, answer column attributes in a database table and activate the

  • Adobe ColdFusion User Survey

    Adobe is running a ColdFusion User survey to understand various aspects related to ColdFusion such as product satisfaction, product usage, platform usage, purchase process, access to training resources and issues related to hiring CF developers. Adobe is working with a third party research organization to host and analyze the results from this survey.
    Survey will approximately take 20 mins of your time, but the detail in the survey may provide valuable insights into making the product, that you care for, so much better and relevant.
    Here is the link for the survey.

    this is almost as funny and entertaining as " divorce court " on TV....
    If I was one of those hair brained individuals into watching a show like that...this adobe stuff would be more fun than a barrel of monkeys !
    you got a ton of people who give for nothin their expertise and time to help other users ( on a regular basis ) and they would be considered ( in a civilized world ) " loyal ".
    you got tons of people using the products over the years, and you would think of them as at least loyal customers ( just cause the tools work for the jobs ).
    THEN you got some whacko CEO who loves to keep secrets and is playing around behind your back....and couldn't care LESS about you...and basically says " I want a divorce ! "
    Well, not really a divorce..just a separation...like, " I want to leave you and you can follow me if you want, but I don't love you and if you don't follow me too bad ".
    Now you got your best friend, the divorce lawyer, looking at you over a brandy and cigar ( in your den late at night while you cry over the situation ) saying , " Hey, things aren't really terrible.. you can always just let her run away and do the separation...and then file for divorce later "...
    But your heart is in it... you feel bad, you feel let down, you feel like you got screwed....and NONE OF THAT MATTERS to the courts....
    I can't wait for season 2 !!!!!!

    Further to you help last week, I have another question.
    How do I get round the same problem if I want to pass a variable/object to the auto-generated NetBeans code?
    For example:
    private javax.microedition.lcdui.Form get_QuestionForm(String I WANT TO PASS VARIABLEX IN HERE BUT I CAN'T EDIT THIS PART) {
            if (QuestionForm == null) {
                if(variableX = "Yes"){
                    System.out.println("The answer is yes")
                }else{
                    System.out.println("Oh no")
                QuestionForm = new javax.microedition.lcdui.Form(null, new javax.microedition.lcdui.Item[] {
                    get_wordToTranslate(),
                            get_spacer6(),
                            get_questionWord(),
                            get_spacer3(),
                            get_yourAnswerIs(),
                            get_spacer1(),
                            get_UserInputBox(),
                            get_spacer2(),
                            get_correctAnswer()
                QuestionForm.addCommand(get_okCommand6());
                QuestionForm.setCommandListener(this);
            return QuestionForm;
        }I assume there is a nifty easy way round this, but I don't know it.
    Do you have any idea?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Adobe Muse : Short User Survey

    Good day everyone,
    My name is Sung Park and I'm one of the Product Managers for Adobe Muse. I've found that if there is something you don't know, rather then guess what the answer is it's better just to ask.
    We have a very short survey (about 3 to 6 questions) we would love for you to take. It'll help us get a better sense of your experience with Adobe Muse. You can find the survey (and please feel free to share it with your peers or friends) at the following link :

  • Read our user survey results - is Nokia listening?

    We have just conducted a survey here at Nokia Support Discussions where we asked for your thoughts and ideas how to improve this forum. The survey was shown randomly on the Discussions main page to a few percent of our visitors in November.
    Thanks to everyone who saw the survey and participated! We had 595 participants, and the results have now been analyzed and read carefully.
    Here are the main findings:
    Satisfaction with Discussions (1-5, 5 is the highest)
    Overall: 3.13
    The survey had an open field for comments. There were plenty of excellent ideas and notions, some of which we have also thought about here. Some of them will be implemented in the near future, some of them are still being discussed or planned.
    Here are some of the ideas and concerns that you brought up:
    "Provide official Nokia support and make sure the feedback from this forum is heard in product development"
    Some respondents were disappointed with our scope of peer-to-peer-support and wanted official Nokia representatives to be more visible on the boards. Also, many felt that Nokia is ignoring the problems and concerns that are posted here.
    When we set out to create Nokia Support Discussions, we wanted to create a meeting place for all Nokia product owners where you could help each other and troubleshoot Nokia products. Naturally this meant that suddenly there would be all sorts of questions, problems, ideas, bugs, stories and wishes right here on this Nokia website for the world to see. (Nokia Support Discussions is live on seven Nokia sites from Europe to Asia, Africa and USA so this is a very global forum.)
    So this forum created a wonderful opportunity for Nokia to hear what you all are saying.
    There are over 50 000 people working for Nokia all around the world, so there is no way how we could guarantee that every post or idea gets officially evaluated, but certainly the hottest topics and talks of the day are studied with great interest by many Nokia teams and organizations.
    Let me put it this way: it would be pretty silly for anyone involved in creating Nokia products to ignore your posts.
    There were also plenty of respondents who were pretty satisfied with the peer-to-peer support offered here. But since there are many questions that other Nokia owners can't answer - like "when is the next sw update for my phone due", or "what's the complete changelog for this sw version", many respondents wanted Nokia to answer these questions directly.
    Our position is this: whenever Nokia releases information or statements on any issue or question, we in the Discussions team do our best to make it known also here. For example, if we get a confirmation that some issue is being investigated by Nokia, we will post it here with an official note.
    All available public information about software updates is currently posted on the www.nokia.com/softwareupdate pages. So there is no further information that can be provided. In some issues the answer might be confidential for various reasons, sometimes there simply is no answer yet. If there was, it would be available on the relevant section of the website.
    Nokia.com and local Nokia websites try to provide you with the best possible information. It is quite clear that you want many things to be communicated more openly, for example with software updates. This is also clear from the posts on the Software Updates board. We in the Discussions team will continue our co-operation with all relevant Nokia organizations to make sure that the feedback and ideas that are posted here will not go unnoticed, but are reviewed, analyzed and acted upon with due urgency.
    "Allow confidential topics"
    Some respondents wanted the forum moderators to loosen up a bit and allow rumours about unannounced Nokia products, or allow procedures which may invalidate the warranty of a Nokia product to be discussed. We in the Discussions team operate under clear guidelines set by Nokia, and we will not allow confidential or even potentially harmful advice to be given on these boards.
    Sometimes it's hard to draw the line, but when it comes issues like tampering with product codes or dismantling phones - not to mention revealing confidential or secret information - the moderators will interfere.
    Charlie Schick over at the Nokia Conversations site has written a thoughtful piece about product leaks. Read more about it from here >>
    "No registration required / unfair moderation"
    There were a few requests to allow posts to be made without registration. This is pretty simple - without a registration system there would be no way to control these boards.
    Some people also claimed that their posts were removed without any explanation. I apologize if someone's posts have been removed, or if someone's user account has been banned, without any contact from the Discussions team. We get thousands of posts every month and sometimes it is hard for the moderators to decide when to interfere. We do not censor criticism - in fact having a forum like ours means we're asking for it - but it needs to be constructive and respectful towards other users and towards Nokia. And don't forget to read our guidelines.
    If you ever have any questions about the way that this forum works, send me a private message or email the Discussions team at [email protected].
    Feature wish list
    We got a lot of good ideas about how to improve the forum user interface. Many requested the ability to attach files to a post and we have now added this to all boards (this was previously only possible on the Software-board). We are reviewing other requests and try to include them in our version updates whenever possible.
    Once more: thanks to all who participated in the survey, and to everyone for keeping these boards going.

    I hope you can get rid of the IP check altogether. It serves no real purpose. Your average script kiddie is going to try and attack a server from a single IP address and move on if he can't get anywhere. If you're under attack from an organisation with a botnet at its disposal then the protection you want is the hosting provider's responsibility upstream from the actual server, usually at the border routers. An IP check at the level it's done here doesn't come into play most of the time, and if it does it's no good to you anyway. All it does is get in the way of legitimate users since only users who are effectively logged in are subject to the control.

    The router has been hacked to direct DNS queries to a malicious server.
    Follow the manufacturer's instructions to reset it to the default state. Usually that involves inserting the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool into a pinhole somewhere in the back of the device, and pressing a switch inside for about 15 seconds. The pinhole may be marked "RESET."
    Repeat the initial setup process. Make sure the router does not allow remote setup from the Internet (WAN port), if it has that feature—most do. The DNS servers should be set automatically by your ISP.
    If you have a wireless network, it must be secured with WPA 2 encryption. The passwords for the network and the router must each be a string of at least 10 random upper- and lower-case letters and digits, and they should be different. Any password that you can remember is weak.
    You are wasting your time deleting files on the computer. Those files are not related to the problem in any way.

  • I got a Firefox User survey saying that I won something, is this a scam?

    A separate window popped up and said, "Congratulations, you have won the 2014 Annual Visitor Survey (Houston). I answered the survey questions, and then it gave me the choice of 3 prizes. That's where I stopped and realized that this may be a scam of some sort. Does Firefox even do this kind of thing, because it looks really well done. If not, is there a way to report this as a scam? If I did win something, that's great, but I want to make sure this is safe first.
    Thank you

    Suspicions confirmed! Now to follow your instructions and stay wary for the future.
    Thank you very much!

  • Re: Read our user survey results - is Nokia listen...

    1. Everybody, on web, was telling that nokia 5800 had document viewer but after i bought i found no adobe reader and document viewer. i was to buy a SE P1i because it has quick office editor. N73 is already having it. how come a mobile of 20000 rupees is not having it and one of 10000 bucks having it. Actually for success of this mini monster quick office application and adobe is quite essential.
    2. stop watch is another application which is needed.
    3. nokia officially has provided only one theme in the mobile, it should have been more than one.
    4. i went to Nokia official site and downloaded 4 applications touchcardmat,touchmanauver, marblemaze and smartguard. But alas on installation, my mini monster refused installation telling "Expired certificate". this is bizarre!. could you update them on your site.
    so could you please tell when these(1-4 above) are coming.

    I belive that this is a user to user forum and I dont think nokia will see all these complains. I suggest you make this complain using the contact us option on the top of this page.

    Is there a configuration that I didn't perform to get survey polls and survey tests to work...? Again, where is the data for the results; providing that these acutally work?
    I did manage to create a bunch of surveys and delete them from the survey portlet; however they still show up in
    providers-registered providers-user surveys; with no delete or remove attribues (just grant access); how do I get rid of them for good?
    Thanks
    Ron.

    I am trying to find out where Survey builder stores the values of the responses that users enter....I was looking in wwv_text....had no luck any suggestions?
    Thanks.
