User timeout sap me 5.2

Hello.
I have a tiny issue, but it is not a problem. When I logon to a site and stay idle for sometime and i try to open resources or admin pods or any of the links in sap me, it wont work. As it turns out after some time of idling I'm being logged out of the site and need to re-log to continue working. Where can I change the timeout settings for user authentication?
regards,
Tarvi

We recently updated our environment from 11.1.1.5 BP05 to 11.1.1.5 BP07.
We are facing an issue with provisioning users to SAP CUP system. We receive an error specifying :
    Response: oracle.iam.connectors.sap.cup.ws.submitreq.ObjectFactory
    Response Description: Unknown response received
However, we are unable to find any errors related in the log file. The SAP UM connector version is 9.1.2.5. Please let us know the cause of this issue.

    1. Login to Design Console and open your GTC provisioning process definition , then Add a new task called "Notify Email".
    2. Check Required for Completion, Allow Cancel and optionally Disable Manual Insert.
    3. In the Integration tab, add tcCompleteTask
    4. In the assignment tab, add an entry with the Default rule, target type of User, and for the User field pick an existing user with a valid email address in their User Profile.
    5. In the Notification tab add an entry and check Assignee, (You can select User, Manager etc ) have the Status field set to C and for the Email field pick a Provisioning type of Notification Template that you have already created.
N.B: 7. Make sure the IT Resource and email configuration properly otherwise you will not get the mail.

  • How to delete a user in SAP-CPS Version 7.0

    Hello,
I created my users via UME ( User Management Engine of Java Application server). Unfortunately I used the wrong name convention, so I had to recreate all the users in UME. Afterwards I delete all wrong users in UME.
Than I tried to login with my new user in SAP-CPS (users are normally created in SAP-CPS during first login) but I get the error message that I reached the maximum number of 10 users allowed in the basic version. No problem I thougt, I simply delete the wrong ones in SAP-CPS. But I do not know how to delete a user! I could not find any menu item or any describtion in the manualls how to delete an user in SAP-CPS.
I remove the users from any Isolation group, I disabled all the users but still I could not find any way to delete them.
Has any body a hint for mor.
    Kind regards

I tried with acual method as below from client '000':

After this when I tried to logon '001' using SAP* with password PASS it is giving  the message that Incorrect logon and password.
(Also when I checked for 'SAP*' in 001 it looks like it is not got created as I queried as below:

  • How to use CMS Users with SAP BOPC NW 7.5

    Hello,
I have problems importing and using CMS Users with BO PC 7.5 NW.
I am trying two types of CMS-users
    1. CMS Enterprise Users created in CMS and using "Enterprise" authentication
    2. SAP BW Users imported into CMS using their SAP authentication "secSAPR3")
    but both don't work:
In the BOPC Admin Client, I can succesfully select Security->Users->"Add new Users". Both CMS "Enterprise Users" and CMS Users that use SAP authentication are displayed in the "Everyone" Group.
The CMS Enterprise Users are displayed as <username>, e.g. "Miller".
The CMS users with sap authentication are displayed as <SAPSystem><Client>/<SAPusername>, e.g. "KBE100/Smith".
Now If I try to import a user...
    1. CMS Enterprise Users
If can successfully import CMS Enterprise Users and add them to the ADMIN Team, e.g. "Miller".
The problem is they can't be used to log in to the Admin Client and Excel Client:
E.g. I enterUser-ID "Miller" and his CMS-Enterprise-password under password after starting Excel Client, an error message shows up: "The UserID, Password or Domain cannot be authenticated. Go back and make sure you entered valid credentials" ... (same error message as if the user wouldn't exist/wrong pw.).
Seems the user wasn't added as BO PC user. Or do I need to use any prefix before the "user ID" for CMS Enterprise users in the User_ID field instead of just "Miller"?!
    2. CMS Users which use SAP-authentication (users imported into CMS from BW and use SAP-authentication)
In the BO PC Admin Client, I can't import them: I go through "1. User Setup" select "KBE~100/Smith", "2. User Detail", "3. Assignments", but if I am in "4. Finish" and click on "Apply", the following error shows up:
"Failed to create directory \root\Webfolders\<AppSetName>\<Appname>" for "KBE~100/Smith".
My guess is that the operating system doesn't like the "/" in the Username - but I guess this can't be changed  bc. these Users from CMS and are already displayed with the "/" between SAPSystemID~ClientNummer and username in the User-list in BOPC Admin Client!
side remark: if I create a SAP CMS Enterprise user which contains a "/" in the username (on pupose ), I am getting the same error message.
Any help, explanations and workarounds are greatly appreciated - Any solution will be awarded with maximum points!
Best Regards and thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi Florian,
The problem seems indeed the file system on the bw not being able to handle "/". The automatic user import from the bw role into the CMC does not give you an option to replace the "/" character with anything else.
    This should solve it:
    - Go to the CMC double click the user. Delete the server part "KBE100/" and click save. Make sure the default system is set to "KBE100". The user should now be able to login from BPC with the user Smith.
    Good luck,
    Martin

  • How can I change the password for the USER in SAP.

How can I change the password for the USER in SAP?
also I want to change the Language and  date Format b/c it's displaying in German language..

    Hi,
Assuming that User has already his/her user-id and password, and now he/ she wants to change it.
select the client and provide Log-in credentials. Now, instead of 'ENTER' there is one Tab: 'New Password' (up, left hand). Click it.
Now, system will ask for new password to change.
If you are asking from Basis point of view, then T.code: SU01 - User Maintenance.
Enter User's id and Click Change icon.
It will lead to Page: Maintain User.
    Here, Select tab: Logon Data
    There is a Sub-Tab: Password.
Here, key-in change password and SAVE.
For Language and Date format, contact your Basis-Personnel.
    Best regards,

    export ORACLE_HOME
But I get the same message again as above.
Do we need to set the ORACLE_HOME env variable in the BASH_PROFILE directly??? Coz I heard that if we set it with the Export command then the env is set only for the current instance and not permanently.
If so what is the exact entry I need to make in the BASH_PROFILE???

    Dear all,
my issue is resolved.I solved my issue myself
solution: SAP sends HTTP request in the form of URL like
    http://serverip:port/GET /Default.aspx?serverInfo&pVersion=0045&contRep=FD HTTP/1.0
Now your response should contain string  contRep="FD"
dont forget double quotes on repository name coz SAP program matches string with double quotes. if you will return value like this contRep=FD
    this will through error.
    Thanks

  • To send an email from outlook to SAP user in SAP

    Hi,
Is it possible to send an email from outlook to SAP user in SAP?
    Regards,
    Mizan

    Hi Mizan......
Yes off course it is possible.
Generally how we put the CC to our ionternal users like you have to put their email address while sending mail through SAP viq outlook.
The mail will go from SAP but via. outlook and user will receive the mail in Outlook Integration and not inside B1.......
If you want it in B1 then instead of sending mail you can send the same by choosing option Int......

  • Require TCode used by user for sap query created through SQ01

    Hi All,
I have number of SAP Query in production that currently are used by different-2 user & created through SQ01
My question is how to know the TCode that used by user for SAP Query.
    Thanks In Advance
    Regards
    San

    Charlie
You did not get the question.
I knew the TCode of the query which I had created using tcode SQ01. user is using this query to see the report
Like I created query named 'order_line_details'. This query is basically to see the order & other details. To use this by user one TCode'zncv_ord_item'  has been created.
So in the system lots of query are available. So i want to know the Tcode for those query that are using by user.
    Thanks in advance

  • Create Substitute Users in SAP ECC 6.0

    Dear Gurus,
Can someone guide on how to create a temporary user Substitute User) in SAP ECC 6.0. This is a user who will only use the SAP system for a short period while the substantive user is away on leave such that the system should lock the substitute user automatically when the leave preiod expires.
    regards,
    Chansa

    > Very valid points on the PID's etc - hadn't thought of those!.
A lot of things are easily overlooked when designing substitution or emergency user procedures.
    > Seems that, if the covering user doesn't have the authorisations in their UMR and has to fall back on the reference user's roles, it shows the reference user ID instead.
This would be very application specific and is not "mainstream". Where you can use it is with WAPIs (Workflow Application Program Interfaces) and BatchInput has been much the same for decades already.
    > I'm not really sure if there''s a way around this as it may cause some questions internally but may benefit the business as the supplier/vendor etc think they are still dealing with their original contact.
On the backend you still have the created by and posted by fields for many application documents (all else being the same - which I would not rely on...).
    > For small user groups, when one person is covering for another absent user in their user group then there shouldn't be any increased SoD figures (as long as reporting on org levels hasn't been activated in RAR) but we have found many instances where the covering user is either a team leader or similar which tends to increase SoD.
This is often because the user ID is changed (to a service user) when entering the "special mode". So access other user's (namely back to your own)  spools, jobs, variants, layouts, work items, queries, office messages, etc etc is needed, and these are generally protected by strong administrator authority-checks. These will in combination provide many SoD conflicts or usually over-riding system admin access which makes the application restriction pretty weak in comparison.
    > Pity it (SM20N) doesn't seem to work by user group but not bad at all...
It does via naming conventions, but is backward compatible for those already logging SAP* user and expecting no entries, which would then become all users starting with the name SAP... See Rz11 param rsau/user_selection (default is "off").
    > Can't make the Berlin conference unfortunately but thank you for the welcome to SDN.
You can keep an eye out for "SDN Hacker Lunch" in the news streams. After the event, I normally put the infos and discussions together into a blog on SDN.
    Cheers,

  • Service users in SAP XI?

what are service users in SAP XI?

    Hi Ankur,
in XI basically we deal with two type of uses. they are
Service users are used for internal communication between XI components, which is
usually triggered by interaction of dialog users .The service users provide dialog-free
access to the involved XI components. They have SAP user roles in the ABAP part of the SAP
Web Application Server (AS) that are available as user groups in the J2EE part. The Integration Repository is associated with service user XIREPUSER. For each component, service users representing the respective components are created with the appropriate roles in the target components during installation. The passwords of the service users have to be defined during the installation process.
    Ex:
    Component Service
    Exchange Profile,
    System Landscape
    Directory
    User Role
    SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC
    Service User
    XILDUSER
Dialog users represent human users (as opposed to service users), who log on through the
various UIs of the Integration Builder, System Landscape Directory, and Runtime Workbench.
Dialog users are generally maintained in the ABAP part of the SAP Web AS. The roles for the different dialog users displayed in the following table are predefined and
    shipped.
    Dialog User Role Description
SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER-- Read-only access to Integration Directory and
    Integration Repository
SAP_XI_DEVELOPER--- Design and development of integration processes
