Dear friends, I have installed the ACS 5.1 and linked to my WLC, and when I enter my Logeo I agree Signature: User and password whenever you want from different devices, I want to do is only allow a user to one session at a time , someone can guide me?

But I could not find the part that Steve talked about (concurrent login)!! Did you Steve meant ssh/telnet sessions?

Firefox only runs one session at a time, are you talking about not being able to open a 2nd window?
Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

How to restrict user marking same events in multiple times.

Hi,
In my online exam system, I am displaying the questions and related answer in jsp page. Once user fill all this questions, the result of these stored in final table containing column questonNo, userid, answer, testname.
Now in my application if any user goes back to the question displaying page after submitting same questions, he can change the answer selected in first attempt and submitting again the test, the result are stored in final table. I.e. for same question no. user is now able to answer in two times. I want to restrict user for answering test in second times.
How can I achieve this?
Any suggestion is highly appreciated?

with you suggested logic can i restrict user marking one question in multiple times,
My target is once user submit any questions teh control will be transferred to the next page.Now he/she could not able to submit the same questions with another answer or the same answer also which is possible in my application by going back to these page using back button .so that i can get only one record for particular questions in table final.

I meet one performance problem that one user can open 6 sessions in the GUI and he/she can run 6 reports at the same time witch could occupy 6 dialogs in the sap R/3 instance. It makes poor performance for other users.
Would you pls tell me how to limit the no. of sessions one user can create at the same time or how to limit the no. of dialogs one user can occupy at the same time?

I used this parameters in the default profile as blew:
rdisp/rfc_check 1
rdisp/rfc_use_quotas 1
rdisp/rfc_max_own_used_wp 20 (means: 20%)
It still didn't work.

We can reserve DIA W.P by giving value to the parameter :- rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=1(default)
that have to necessarily remain free for other users.
This parameter is used to reserve a number of dialog work processes for Dailog mode.
For eg. If 10 dialog w.p. are configured for the instance(rdsip/wp_no_dia=10) and the parameter rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=3 is set,parallel RFC's can occupy a maximum of 7 DIA W.P.3 DAI W.P. always remain free for dialog mode.
But now the question is how we assign/restrict this free dialog w.p. to the specific user.

Restricting the user to only one session. Is this possible ?

We have a web enabled Forms6i application running on Unix AIX server. user logs on to this application through a application logon screen.
We have a requirement where we have to restrict user from logging on more than once to the application.
- We thought of implementing this functionality through a database field which get set and resets each time a user logs on and logs off the application. Issue here is when do u reset the field. ? Is there a trigger on form which fires no matter how user exits from the system , including PC crahs ?
- is there a better way of handling this functionality.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try to use Oracle profiles
create profile test limit
sessions_per_user 1;
then assign this profile to the users you want them to have one session only. Moreoever, you have to change the parameter LIMIT_RESOURCES=TRUE in the init.ora parameter file.
After changing the parameter file, shutdwon the database and open it again to let the profiles take effect on the user session.

I really dont understand what you have asked?
If your question is can we start more than one database at the same time then the answer to that is yes but provided to have enough resources on your server to support running of two or more different databases on the same machine.

I think there might be information there on how to reset Time Machine to do a full backup. I think you basically have to reset it and start over.

Do you have ActiveDirectory Module which shipped with Windows Server 2008 R2? If you have it, you can complete this task very easily.
#First, you need to import ActiveDirectory Module
Import-Module ActiveDirectory
#Second, generate a SecureString which contains the password.
$securePwd = ConvertTo-SecureString -String "P@ssw0rd!" -Force -AsPlainText
#Third, find the Active Directory users ,and use Set-ADAccountPassword for resetng the password.
Get-ADUser -Filter {Name -like "Test*"} | Set-ADAccountPassword -NewPassword $securePwd

Allow only one session per registered user

we plan to implement a security module in our application that will display at login time if the user has other sessions still open and to give him the possibility to proceed and then to automatically purge all the other sessions he has, or to stop as maybe he has the other session just in another browser / another computer.
The APEX_WORKSPACE_SESSIONS view shows very useful information in this matter, but beside the fields in it, it would be very useful to have also the last access/activity time for that session. How is best to get this? Join with the APEX_WORKSPACE_ACTIVITY_LOG view like this?

I have an SR opened with Oracle support and here is what they say:
It looks like we are hitting
Bug 7587013 - INSERTING AND DELETING WWV_FLOW_DATA CAUSES DEADLOCK, which is also related to
Bug 6618662 - APEX APPEARS TO BE CAUSING DEADLOCK - CASE COLLECTION.
To further clarify the issue, these DML statements from the APEX engine are used when rendering classic reports (and in the computation of the pagination set).
There is no fix yet for the issue, however the frequency of the issue decreases dramatically in the last version (which you currently have).
The issue should be fixed in Apex release 4.1
It appears that the only way this deadlock can occur is if two requests for the same APEX session are made concurrently.
This can be due to a user getting impatient and hitting their refresh button in their browser, or a user opening up a new tab in their browser and concurrently running the same page with the same report.
Not really helpful IMHO, suggesting to wait for a version that will not be release soon :(. If any of the APEX team engineers / PM is interested I can dig deeper into the issue and isolate the whole chain of requests from an user that hits this error, which unfortunately appears more and more often lately :(. I need to find at least an workaround if not a fix as now I get daily at least 7 such ORA-60 Deadlock detected issues.
Just last week I was able to produce a nice testcase for a bug in APEX_MAIL, and prod dev made the patch in less than a day, with all the timezone difference issues. I was pretty impressed when getting that quick the patch 9414444 (thanks Joel :) ).

Does Firefox have a feature like the software named Robo-form, where like if you wanted to go to your gmail, you could click on one thing, and not have to inter user name and password every single time?

Some times in Firefox I see pop ups where Firefox is allowing you to make Firefox remember a password or some such thing like that.
I want to go to an account or web site where I have already registered, type in my user name and password and then before I log in, have Firefox remember my log in information, so that in the future I could go to a folder let's say, that has a list, and just click on the one item, spending less time logging in at places.
Is this something Firefox does, or do I have to say, use a software like Robo-form?

New Haven Store has NO (NADA) one on one sessions available.
I paid $99 for this and why have they gone dark re: one one one. If they can't handle the request they should refund the money. I askked to speak to a manager and was told "they might het back to me".

This is not Apple. This is a user forum. You'll need to take up your complaint with the store manager. If that fails call AppleCare and ask to speak to a customer representative.

Calculate one month prior to user entered date by a Date/Time field

I am currently pretty new to Live cycle and have no idea about Java scripting, i have been using this site a lot for my forms and have used the FormCalc for expanding tables and so on but this one is proving difficult. I am currently designing a form that requires a calculation of one month prior to a user entered date by a Date/Time field. I have looked at multiple posts on how to do this but none have worked (they are using the Date2Num).
Is anyone able to enlighten me please?
I currently have:
Date/Time field Date Due
Date/Time field Planned Date of Review
I need Planned Date of Review to be calculated to be 30 days prior to Date Due. How do I go about doing this? Is it incorrect to use a Date/Time field as the field type for the calculation?

You can use FormCalc to compare the user input.
Put this script into the exit:Event of the date field.

How do you limit TOC navigation for multiple users on one computer?

If you have 5 Adobe Captivate 5.5. Projects linked together to play consecutively how can you set up a TOC so that each new user starts from the beginning and can only go back to slides that the new user has viewed? We have the TOC set to Enable Navigation, Navigate Visited Slides Only, and View Status Flag. This is a required training video that will be taken by many users. We need them to be able to go back to the sections that they already viewed but not be able to see the sections that others have already watched. In other words, we don't want them to be able to advance ahead to the sections that the previous test takers have viewed.

Problems:
•     Remove the TOC and they have no navigation abilities to see something they may have missed
•     Keep it in and the viewer can advance to parts they have not viewed as the previous user set the ability
•     Put a back button in and they can only go back one at a time and have no ability to get back to where they were if they keep hitting back other than watch over
•     Tried the clear button in TOC under status flag which clears the status flags yet it only works on one section at a time and does not clear all linked projects
•     Is there something we are missing? Tried reading blogs and really can’t pinpoint problem

To get each user to have a different experience when viewing the content, you need to have some way for each user to be uniquely identified, otherwise the browser has no way of knowing that THIS is not the same person that was looking at the content an hour ago. The way this is normally achieved is by getting users to log in as a different profile.
There's no EASY way I can think of to achieve what you want WITHOUT users having different profiles. You would need to get some custom HTML programming done by someone that basically mimicked separate browser sessions under the same login. It's theoretically possible, but I've never been required to do anything like this.
