Userdefined reports chart, x-, y-, z-axis ( 440 views and no solution)

Hello,
is there an option to add a third axis to a userdefined report of the charttype? If so, how? and if it is not possible does anybody know of a workaround? Some sort of integration of Anychart into SQL Developer similar like it is done with APEX?

Don't you think if there was a solution, one of those 440 people would have suggested one.
You could write your own extension to integrate Anychart (whatever that is ), but if you have sophisticated reporting requirements you would be better off looking for a proper reporting tool.

  • Interactive Report - Chart axis value wrong data

    Hi,
we created an interactive report based on demo_orders table.
The interactive chart is displaying wrong data on the value axis (4,00000 instead of 4,000.00)!
Values in the table are ok, even the value displayed when user clicks on specific data point is correct.
    Did somebody had similar problems?
    Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
    AnyChart #5.1.3
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Kristjan

    Hi Kristjan,
I'm able to reproduce the issue you report, using an Interactive Report in APEX 3.2.1 and 4.0, where the Application Language is a non-English option. So for example, if my chart label in English is *10,000.00* and when I switch the Application Primary Language to German, then the displayed values should be *10.000,00* however it is incorrectly appearing as *10,000*. When running in some non-English languages, the NLS decimal separator used is a comma ',', but this isn't been correctly applied to the Interactive Report chart. The problem is arising from the fact that the decimal separator setting in the chart XML is not being escaped correctly, and is therefore being ignored. I've logged bug 10154666 to track this issue, and a fix for this will be available in our next release. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. In the meantime, and to ensure the values on your chart are accurately displayed, it might be best to create a separate chart region on the page in question, rather than using the Interactive report chart.

  • Interactive Report Chart Missing Labels

I have a simple horizontal bar chart on an Interactive Report... There are 22 bars but only half of them (11) have labels. Bars 1, 3, 5, 7, etc have labels. If I click on the other bars I can see their labels but this is of no use when printing. The same issue happens frequently in various other charts whenever there are more than a few items to display. Our users have to download the reports to Excel and create the charts there in order to print or make presentations.

    Hi Rick,
The behaviour you are seeing, where not all labels are displayed, is expected given the size of the region the chart is being displayed in and the number of labels you wish to display. AnyChart will automatically handle the display of the labels in this case, and it is not possible to customise an Interactive Report chart to override this behaviour. My suggestion would be that you create a new Chart region, where you have more control over the chart you generate. Please refer to the section Creating Charts - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/app_comp.htm#CHDFEJAB - in Chapter 8 - Adding Application Components of the APEX User's Guide for more information. Once you have generated your chart, you can increase the height of your chart on the Chart Attributes page, and this will allow for the display of additional labels on the X-axis of your chart. Alternatively, you could look at the option of using the AnyChart axis label Stager mode, as outlined in the online AnyChart documentation here: http://anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/axes-labels-text-formatting.html#stager. As the mode name suggests, the positioning of the axis labels will be staggered, which will allow for the display of all of your labels without having to adjust the chart height. For your presentations, you can easily create the chart regions on the same page as your existing Interactive Reports, and you'll also have the ability to print the charts, save them as an image or as PDF.
    I hope this helps.

  • Crystal Reports - Charts do not appear on reports in some cases

We have a few reports that include charts on them (created with Crystal 2008 Designer).  These reports have run fine for quite a while but this morning we got a support call with a client reporting that though the reports process and appear correctly, the charts do not appear - instead the client can see a box where the charts should be - but no charts appear.
Wait...  This has a curve ball...
The same client then ran our application on the SAME machine, but in a VM (virtual machine) on that machine, and now, the charts appear!
I can understand that if a machine is low on memory, charts might not appear - but then why when a VM is used on the same machine do charts suddenly appear?
Is there any way, any suggestion someone can offer by which I can 'trap' this situation in code, PRIOR to producing a report that is going to have a big blank spot where a chart normally appears?
Thanks for any help - much appreciated.

Nope...  Not video corruption...  We finally figured it out...
Its the 12_0 runtime.  Run it, and you dont see any charts, no errors, no warnings, just no charts - update to the 12_1 runtime and voila, charts are suddenly present.
Just to be sure we were not going nuts we uninstalled, reinstalled the 12_0 and no charts again - put in the 12_1 runtime and there they are again.
    Problem solved.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2013 - report / chart / Graph for Employee vacation.

In SharePoint Foundation 2013 I want to create a report / chart / Graph for Employee (Employee Id,Employee Name & Department) which will show month wise from which date to which date Employee are on vacation in particular department.
I'm thinking to create one List where where user will enter there vacation details and from that list report I will create chart / Graph Department wise to check the Employees availability.
Please provide some good example or idea in detail for this.

    Hi,
Chart Web Parts are useful for visually representing data in line charts, bar charts, and other views. Charts enable you and other users to view performance information at a glance.
In SharePoint 2013, chart web part is one of the discontinued features. We usually use Excel Service to replace it, however, Excel Service is only available in Enterprise edition, so we need to figure out coding methods or third party tool if you are using
    Foundation edition.
Here are some links for workaround in your situation, please check if they can be help:

  • How do I change the numerical format of the axis in Diadem view and report

Is there a method for changing the format of the AXIS labels to show more significant digits? Second, I can't find how to display the menu shown in NI help document 3FIEI5LE. When I right click to (select properties) I get a different menu labeled (set proerties for display).
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hi Doug,
There is no way to configure the display of the X axis in VIEW-- this is for a quick look at or an interactive visual inspection of your data. For a fully configurable report creation environment you should switch to REPORT. Note that the last button on the top icon bar in VIEW with the tipstrip "Transfer to REPORT" will transfer what you currently have displayed in VIEW into a new REPORT layout.
In REPORT if you double-click on the numbers below the X axis, a "2D - Numeric display" configuration dialog will appear which has the field "Format:" in it. Type in "d.dddd" ("d,dddd" in Europe) or as many d's after the decimal character as you want to display. There are also other formatting options for scientific display, etc.
I honestly didn't understand your second question about the help dialog-- what version of DIAdem are you using?

  • Charts: Gap between Vertical Axis and the chart area

    Friends,
I have a really wierd issue and I am sure I am doing
    something wrong.
I am trying to align 2 charts that are placed vertically. I
want to align the left vertical axis and the gridlines within them.
Aligning the left vertical axis is easy and done but aligning the
grids is becoming challenging and I have already spent a few hours
    on this problem.
Here is a wrong chart image ...
    Wrong
    chart image
The line of the LineChart (in the top chart) is touching the
left and right edges where as the bottom chart bars do not touch
the left/right edges. Due to this the gridlines are not aligned.
I had managed to solve this problem but I am not sure what
part of the code solved the problem. Here is the right chart image:
    Right
    chart image
In this chart, the line of the linechart (in the top chart)
is not touching the left and right boundary hence the gridlines are
    alignd with each other.
I wonder what property of the chart controls the series
touching the left/right vertical axis or boundary. Your help is
    appreciated.
    Thanks

here is some more information ...
I started changing some of the properties of the chart which
I mentioned is a RIGHT CHART and this is what I learnt ...
It was a CartesianChart hence it was creating the gap
between the left/right vertical axis and the actual chart area
(refer to the right chart image).
I changed it to a LineChart and it started behaving like the
chart in the WRONG CHART image.
Is there a solution to this problem?

  • Error Bars - Can Error Bars be added to Crystal Report Charts

I am trying to add or create "error bars" in my cystral report chart (graph).  I can add "error bars" in an Excel sheet chart (graph) but I cannot find the functionality in crystal reports.
Is it possible to "error bars" to a crystal report chart.  If so, how?

    Hi,
I don't see that this functionality or this kind of chart exists in CR.
I would suggest that you log an Enhancement Request at http://ideas.sap.com and let our developers look into this.

  • WAD Report -Chart Type Line Diagram!!

    Hi All,
I have a doubt in listing the Y axis value with a value of 2000 in addition for each category
    like 0,2000,4000,6000,etc till 20000.
But I tried many way...But I culd able to achieve max..till 10,000.If i use 20,000..I get a value of 2500 for each category not 2000...
    pls,Could anyone help me ???

    Hi,
    This is possible...
Edit your chart in WAD-> goto chart designer -> Goto value axis and change its properties as follows:
Remove maximum automatic in this and change the maximum value to 20000, in your case.
    Get into Line properties....
Get into Major Ticks->Remove the automatic and Change the number of ticks to 11, you will see the 2000 mark on the left.
Now run your chart and you will see a bigger chart....
    Have fun !!:-)
    Cheers,
    Emmanuel.

  • Is it possible to vary the colours of bars on a bar chart on the same axis?

Is it possible to vary the colours of bars on a bar chart on the same axis (I would like every cell value below 7 to be in red and above 7 to appear in green)?

Thank you for picking up on my question. I have subsequently found a conversation thread which gave me a solution. I found that I needed to create additional rows to accomodate values above or below the level that required a different colour and then use a stacked bar chart. The following shows what I needed to create. Apologies for wasting your time, but I only found the relevant conversation after posting my question.

  • Waveform chart with 2 Y axis

Hi, I have labview 8.5 and I would like to know if is possible to have one waveform chart with two Y axis, I have two signal from a force load cell and two signal from a LVDT, so I would like to graph in real time what is happening in the process having in one axis the forces and in the other axis distance, how can I do it?
The problem is the forces are lower than the distance, so if I graph all in one is going to be a big mess or can I just play with each scale of each plot and put everything in one Y axis?

    1) Right click on the Y-axis and choose "duplicate scale". This will give you another Y-Axis.
    2) Optionally right-click the new Y-axis and select "Swap sides" to move the new Y-axis to the other side of the graph.
    3) If not already visable right-click chart and choose Visalbe >>> Plot legend
    4) Right click on a plot and choose the Y-axis it should be associated with.
