Userexit at Save for IW51/IW52 - Service Notification

Hi,
Does anybody know any userexit or BADI that will be triggered when the user clicks SAVE for transaction IW51 or IW52 to create/change a service notification? The userexits that I found so far do not seem to be triggered at the SAVE.

Hi,
You can use function module QM06_FM_TASK_SEND_PAPER or QM06_FM_TASK_SEND_PAPER_ATTACH.The document is sent only after the associated notification is saved.You need to enter the function module "QM06_SEND_REPLY_STEP2" in Customizing of the action box as "FM when saving".

Create multiple sales orders from single service notification?

Is it possible to create multiple sales orders from a single notification (IW51)?
We currently create sales orders directly within transaction IW51 (Create Service Notification). We kick off the sales order creation by pressing the "SALES ORD." button in the notification screen. We're now interested in creating a 2nd Sales Order which would tie directly to the same Service Notification. This is so that we can have the second order assigned to a different account assignment WBS (there are two different parties doing work on the service notification).
I assume you would have to go to VA01 to create the Sales Order, but am not sure how to tie it directly to the service notification from here. I treied to do a create with reference, but there is no ability to create with reference to a service notification.
Do I have to create a second service notification for the 2nd Sales Order for this to work? I want to avoid doing this if at all possible.
I'm running SAP R/3 Enterprise

Hi,
go to vtaa- copy controls for sales document to sales document.
select your combination of order and quotation go to item level. There select value 0(zero) in field positive/negative negative.
No need to change update document flow.
After setting zero in copy control that be told on above. create order with respective to the quotation.
After saving the order.
go to document flow to see the status in between quotation and order.
If you placed setting right, then u certainly observe for quotation status will be open. so you can create no. of sales order with respect to that quotation..

Short text field information of a service notification

Hi everyone,
Please guide me about the following query: How can we find the complete short text field information of a service notification.
Please guide me how can i find this information for all the service notifications which are created in a specific time period.
Through transaction code IW29 or IW59, complete field information is not available.

What input parameters are you using when calling the BAPI
Did you use the NOTIFACTV_X tables
Are there any values in the RETURN table

I need to add new activity in 'Action box' of service notification (IW5* transaction) .
When the user click this new activity the following actions need to be performed:
1. Change the status of notification (Use VIQMEL structure)

Problem in customer address while creating service notification using IW51

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a BDC recording for creating Service Notification using transaction IW51. I have done the recording as follows. On the First screen I am entering notification type. Then on the next screen I am entering the Sold to party and its address by clicking on the icon besides it. After that i enter Functional location, equipment, priority and req end date and save it. When I am running this recording after transferring it to a progam , somehow the address disappears for the newly created notification. I am not able to figure out the reason. Kindly guide me.

I assume you have tried this with update mode = 'A'-all and watched it actually work correctly? May I ask why the BDC instead of BAPI? Is it because you're creating a new partner? If so, are you pressing save on that partner creation?

Error message when try to create a Service Notification - IW51

Hi Everyone!
When the customer try to create a new Service Notification (IW51 transaction), they receive an customized error message: "No pricing reference material for material [item code] not able to save". The price appears on the quantity contract by through of the Condition Price. So, I checked it this condition price on the VK13 transaction and it was inputed correctly and it is valid.
Do you have any idea where can I verify what is the problem... Any tips will be welcome!

How to block a material that not to creation of service notification thru-IW51

I have tried in all over areas ( MM02 level and MM06 level ) to block a material that not to create service notification with that material but didn't get a solution.If any one knows solution for this kindly provide me.

1. I do not see any possibility without using this exit. It is a very simple and effective thing for your ABAPer and you too.
2. In case of many Materials-Notification type combinations, you can maintain similar code by joining several elseif s.
3. Alternatively, you can maintain a Z Table as under:
QMART
MATNR
S3
10000000099999
S3
10000000099988
S1
10000000088988
S2
12000000088988
Means, for every Notification type there will be one or more prohibited materials. The coding will not be difficult, but will have around 15/20 lines.Finally, if you have to get your issue resolved, I feel this is the way and also easy way through your ABAPer.
Tell me in case of any further opinions.

How to get a service notification number for given serial number

Please, someones know how to get a service notification number based on serial number.
In our process the notification can be created as first step (IW51) or can be created starting from service order (IW32).

actually standard service request numbers are configured in spro->crm->transactions->Settings for Service Requests->Number Ranges. here they are maintain service request,incident,problem number ranges..
so when ever your creating any service request then that number range will appear in that object id.
you have to get that object id in your custom field get_method and based on that you have to change your number..
example:
current = me->bo.
current->get_property_as_string( EXPORTING iv_attr_name = 'OBJECTI_ID' RECEIVING rv_result = lv_id ).
here you will get object_id based on that you have to write your own logic to display custom value.
" write your custom logic to populate custom field. pass that custom field value into returning parameter.
value = custom_value.

Few users are facing issue while trying to attach file to the Service Notification. When they open the file dialogue to attach the file
it keeps on spinning and hangs, nothing proceeds further. Does anyone faced similar issue if so can you provide solution for this?

Check the users experiencing issues java runtime on their systems. The file system object uses the JRE. Also check that if the java runtime is up-to-date and of teh same version whose systems are working, that their browser security setting as well as trusted sites have been configured correctly.

How to set upper and lower limit for service notification in SPRO

Hello everyone,
Good morning....!!
I am new to SAP PM and to SCN as well.
I have a question on Service notification user status.
I have notification profile configured in SAP as below:
Status no      Status          Short text              Lower limit          Upper limit

I want the statusesto be set as navigation should only allow to go back one by one...like from APRC -->PCKS not to REGD.From PCKS -->REGD etc..not vice versa.
Can enayone explain me to how to set lower and upper limits for these according ot the above requirement.

Once you change the status to previous status, just save the order. Then again open the order & try to change the user status.
Just I made replica of your profile. I could able to change (even without saving the order).

Including the name of the person responsible in service notification (IW51)

Select the notification type S3 - service request, double click on partner functions.
chose valid partner function for person responsible field.
In IW51, enter notification type S3 and press enter.In customer address screen, execution segment you can see the person responsible field
