UserID Mapping in EP for EndUsers

Hi gurus,
We have a GoLive for EP Prod system in two days. There is only one problem that we are facing. The User mapping. We have integrated BI & ECC system with EP. SingleSign on is working fine as well. The EP Users are the top level management people and we do not know their BI/ECC Password. Now, we want that the administrators should be the only one's to map the EP userid's for any integrated system.
Can we have a way in which the UserID mapping is performed by the administrator without the enduser password and still have endusers NOT to enter their passwords.
Please let me know if there is any way to do the same.

Well my first priority is if Administrator is able to map the respective EP ID's with its R/3 & BI counterparts without knowing the passwords. If this is not possible then yes, I might want the user to have the access to his own profile mapping.
The user admin ( Portal end) contins so many actions. one of the actions is User mapping for system access
I am a bit confused about the term "actions". could you please be a bit more brief about the same. are we talking about IViews, WebDynpros etc.
Moreover, say somehow I do this actions thing....in which case how would i be able to make sure that the user maps his data only with his corresponding R/3 and BI counterpart ID's and respective password and not with someother ID.
Request if you could help me with these pointers.

Mapping input values for a web service connection to a range of cells

I've created a web service connection in Xcelsius data manager. My web service requires an array of integer as input parameter. How do I map input values for a web service connection to read from a range of cells in the spreadsheet, e.g. $A$2:$A$20, in similar way of mapping output values to write to a range of cells in the spreadsheet?
For output values of the web service, I can specify to map the output values to write to a range of cells. However, it doesn't seem to work for reading the input values.
I can map input values for each node to a single cell, e.g. $A$2, in the spreadsheet. However, when I set the "Read From" field to a range of cells, e.g. $A$2:$A$20, it only reads in the first value in the range.
Is there any way that we can do this mapping for input values as we do for output values?

There is a workaround for that...
Example:
My Webservice accepts input data range in a specific format with " :" symbol, i.e. 072008:082008
Now what i do is
A1 = 072008
A2 = 082008
A3 = CONCATENATE(A1,":",A2)
so A3 = 072008:082008
Now i map the input value in web service to cell A3
P.S have 2 input box components and map it to cells A1 and A2, i.e you are giving users an option to enter the range of values...then web service will capture the range and refreshes data with the range of values user entered.

We are performing an HCM Data scrambling, however, in Package Setting phase, we are encountering error in mapping of data for scrambling rule, saying there are inconsistency detected in mapping Engine PIFD.
We have already implemented and checked below SAP notes, but still no luck.
1854557 - Missing PIFD objects or mappings after LT AddOn install.

- TDMS 4.0 - Collective note for Scrambling
Please advise how to fix the issue? Project is at stand still due to this.

This is bug 5195315, which looks to be fixed in a 10.2 patch. If you can pick up the latest 10.2 patch there is like 3 years of fixes worth picking up.

SAP MAP - Best Choices for Planning Technical Basis

For today there are 3 variants of MAP planning scenaries implementation:
1.Planning and reporting via MAP Business content for BI Integrated planning
2.Planning and reporting via MAP Business content for BPS
3.Planning in ECC based MAP functionality and reporting in BI
Whether there are recommendations which alternative is more suitable, pro/cons?
It is possible to use standard MAP workflow scenaries with planning in BPS or BI Integrated planning ?

1.     BW Integrated Planning is the new SAP MAP Planning Solution. There is a also BI Content with predefined templates on BI Content 7.04. The next BI Content 7.05 will include many more out-of-the-box Templates.

Additionally there is a basic template to do seasonal Assortment Planning on Assortment/Style/Color/Size level in MAP and send it to the Operational Assortment Planning and Control in ECC. Sales territory mapping software program for mac?

I am trying to find a good sales territory mapping software program that will allow one to draw a territory by selecting zip codes, counties, etc. (but I really need it to be able to handle zip codes). Does anyone know of any software for the mac?

I use the Badger Map on the Mac and iPad for this. Its great for mapping territories, and for helping the reps manage the territory.

DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure for xml type

I generated a web-services.xml with the wsdl2Service task without a type mapping. The service is a document/literal based web service. I implemented the Java method, which accepts a single parameter with type javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement and returns javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement. Everytime I invoke the method from a client I get the following error from the server (WebLogic 8.1 SP4):
weblogic.xml.schema.binding.DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure for xml type ['urn:mytest1']:test and java interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement
at weblogic.xml.schema.binding.RuntimeUtils.invoke_deserializer(RuntimeUtils.java:325)

E90 Maps keeps asking for Internet Connection

Hi,
Why does E90 Maps keep asking for internet?
"No Internet connection. Please check your Network settings"
And even if there is Internet connection via wifi and telco's data service, Maps doesn't seem to see it.
How do I stop it from asking?

For the N95, if you select to set the Network to 'when need', then the phone will give you a chance to select the access point. Try selecting the right one -- WLAN/ Telco.

Asking userid/password each time for opening any asset url

Hi,
My UCM is working fine but when I am opening any image or video url from a new browser, it asking userid and password each and every time. After giving the credential the asset is opening in the browser.
After login first time in the browser, it never asks the userid and password but for any new browser/session, it is asking the userid and password.
I believe, there is some mistake in the configuration because in another environment this issue is not coming.
Could any one help on this ?

It also could be the way that you are actually requesting the page URL.
Depending on how your Content Server's HttpServerAddress variable is defined, the request you are sending may be deemed by the browser to be a new domain, hence the reprompt. I've seen this happen quite a few times.
For example, consider the following sample URLs:
http://127.0.0.1
http://localhost
http://localhost.myworkgroup.com
If your HttpServerAddress variable is set to "http://localhost.myworkgroup.com" but you were to access the server using the short name "http://localhost" instead, you would still be able to login as expected.
However, the server uses HttpServerAddress to build any links on a page. You haven't logged into "http://localhost.myworkgroup.com", but "http://localhost". You click a link on a page after logging in to "http://localhost". The browser can't forward your credentials to a different domain ("http://localhost.myworkgroup.com") (or rather it better not... that's a security hole.) So the browser must reprompt. Same issue would happen using the IP address as opposed to the short name.
In short, look at the value of "HttpServerAddress", and use that address in the URL. See if that fixes the issue.

First next-hop will be used unless until that is not unreachable. If first is unreachable, then next one will be used. Since these next-hops are directly connected, router can easily come to know whether they are active or not. In case you want to set some loopback ip as next-hop then you need to use keyword recursive "set ip next-hop recursive"

For WEBI report, actually no need to publish report as it is already behaved as a publish report. If your user want to view their report then they can easily do it using the report server url (providing necessary credential). In this case you have to make sure that your user account has not administrative privilege. You can also schedule your report (output could be .xls, .pdf) and automatically can send this report to the end users' email / inbox etc.

Seldom have I found process content which sufficiently explains both manual and automated processes in a format which is sufficiently simple to engage discussion (between project teams and business representatives). Is there a way to strike the required balance - simplicity for the sake of engagement; yet rich enough to record SAP dependencies, system requirements and so forth.

Using URL maps to search for a particular sub-domain in a URL

Seem to be having some trouble with URL maps, and trying to search for a particular sub-domain in a URL. Let me explain:
We will have a number of applications frontended by our CSM VIP such as:
sftp.poc.monash.edu.au
callista.poc.monash.edu.au
I'm trying to get the CSM via policies and URL maps, to search for say "callista" and direct this traffic to a particular farm as below...however when i use the match statement the connections are dropped.

Having a read through the CSM config guide I think i may have found the answer. I noticed that the URL maps only work on searching a "path' after the domain e.g. the presence of either "index" or "cep":
callista.poc.monash.edu.au/index.html
or
callista.poc.monash.edu.au/cep/
I've tested the above logic and this holds true....therefore there doesn't seem to be a way of searching for a "subdomain" in the URL as opposed to various bits of a "path". That is i'd like to search for "callista" or "admissions" instead of the path
callista.poc.monash.edu.au
or
admission.poc.monash.edu.au
Can someone confirm this one way or another? And if the sub-domain search is not possible, are there alternatives to getting it to work?!
