Users Associated with Line CUCM9

Our wonderfull HR Staff ran a script that wiped out our IP phone field in AD over the weekend. All of the user accounts got wired out by th e garbage collector before anyone knwe that this has happened . I have afull export from a month ago and was able to get the Owner User ID added to the devices, and the primary and IPCC phone extensions restored. I'm trying to find a way to get the Users Associated with Line filed populated using bulk Admin. I cannot find where to do that. We are running CUCM 9.1
Thanks for any help.

Hi Michael,
You can try the following steps and let me know how it goes.
Create a .txt file format with the following headers, comma separated:
    User ID,Device,Directory Number,Partition
In the lines below the headers, add the corresponding information, comma-separated.
Example, assuming you want to associate user1 to directory number 1001 and user2 to directory number 1002:
        User ID,Device,Directory Number,Partition
        euser1,SEP001122aabbcc,1001,PT-A
        euser2,SEP002211aabbcc,1002,PT-B
You can use Excel to create the file.  Save as a .csv file, then rename the file to .txt. Open it to make sure the format matches the one above.
Then got to CallManager Admin Page -> Bulk Administration -> Upload/Download Files,  hit "Add new", browse to your file, then select the following targets:
Target: User Line Appearance
Transaction type: Update Line Appearance - Custom File
Verify that the file has been uploaded, then go to Bulk Administration -> Users-> Line Appearance -> Update Line Appearance.
* Under "File name", drop down and select the file you uploaded.
* Do not add any of the checkmarks below, leave empty.
* Click the "Run immediately" radio button.
* Click "Submit"

  • Where in BAT for "Users Associated with Line" field......

    Hi All,
    I am trying to find where I can export all user lines via BAT to see if they have an assignment for “Users Associated with Line”.
    Basically, I have administered approx 1000 phones (some UDP and some not) however I was unaware that I needed to administer this field for CUPC etc….
    I have looked at other posts that explain to update line appearance under the “Users” in BAT however this does no contain the field that I am looking for.
    In essence, I need to export all user lines, wash the data for who is not administered for this, then BAT in a change to associate users with line.
    Any help much appreciated!

    Hi,
    I use phones first and than the users option to upload using BAT.
    In th phone's tab, edit the the Maximum number of phone lines according to your requirement and click on the Create file format and select Directory Number in the Line field as shown below.
    And create your phones with MAC, Description,Phone lines and upload it, make sure it gets uploaded successfully.
    Now come to Users tab in the Bat.xlt file, here click on the Number of Controlled Devices as 1 (we are basically making phone as the controlled device to the users, phone already has lines as mentioned in the above step). And fill rest of the other details and upload it.
    Note: You can mention the Primary extension and IPCC Extension as part of this operation only.
    Hope it helps.

  • Users Associated with Line

    We will be integrating our UCM 6.1.2 with CUPS 6.x with MOC as the client. On the DN page of the UCM right at the bottom is a button titled 'Associate End Users'. As per the documentation this is required but I still am wondering if this association is really necessary as I will need to update all of our users via BAT csv which will be a lot work provided it can be done via BAT? The users page has an entry under device associations and the primary extension under directory number association has an entry as well so hopefully this will suffice.

    Hi
    I have User Device Profile and I need to associate Users with Line.  I have created file with format
    User ID
    Device
    Directory Number
    Partition
    ADOUGLAS
    UDP_Alexandra_Douglas
    22847
    PA_POV_OnNet
    When I run it I keep on getting the error
    user id Error Code Error Description
    ADOUGLAS On row 1: bad device name
    Result Summary :
    Update for 0 Line Appearance passed.
    Update for 1 Line Appearance failed.

  • How can I get all users associated with my VSO

    I see here: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/integrate/api/shared/profiles that I can get my profile info from the API, but can I get all users associated with an account?

    Hello!
    If you want to see all of that in a single mailbox, you can create a Smart Mailbox from the "file" menu in the top left corner of your screen. It's a bit of trial and error before you get the rules correct, perhaps, but that will work.

  • Slow email send/receive for user associated with beehiveonline

    It takes hours to send/receive an email to/from the user associated with my beehiveonline workspace. Also, the number of emails that we receive has decreased, it may be not related at all, but there is no way for me to check if that's just due to low customer activity or to timeouts.

    Hi,
    If you have issues then let us know the date/time of the issue and the degree of delay you are seeeing and we can check if there may be a reason for the delay.

  • ISupport - register a person as a user associated with his/her Person Party

    Hi,
    iSupport 11.5.10.2
    I have a situation in my organisation where I would like to register an individual as an iSupport User associated with his / her Person Party Number.
    For example: John Doe has been set up in the system as a Person Party, and has an Account Number generated. He has certain Service Contracts and Install Base records associated with the Account Number. John Doe would like to register through the iSupport portal and be associated with the above Party / Account Number and be able to update his IB, check Orders and Invoices.
    Can this be done using any of the existing (seeded) Usertypes, Enrollments etc.?
    Thanks and Regards.

    This cannot be done in 11.5.10.
    But we have this feature in R12.

  • WiFi User associating with far AP not with near AP

    Hi,
    We have two WLC 4402 and around 20 APs model1252G, I have manually distributed between both WLCs.
    Problem which I am describing is only associated with single user. User have three APs in its surrounding, AP "One" is placed near by 10 feet, AP "Two" is placed on above floor (with same location) and AP "Three" is placed on below floor (on same location). I am using 1, 2, 6, 11 non-overlapping channels and did not assign same channel on two floor continous.
    Problem:
    User associating with far AP but not with near AP, due to this user faced low strength. I have increased AP "One" power but it does not worked out.
    Need help.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Arsalan

    Hi Arsalan,
    Thanks for the reply!!
    Yes we can configure that!! This feature name depends on the WLC software that you are running..
    If  ur WLC is running 4.2 WLC code and below.. then thisfeature is called  WLAN OVERRIDE , here is the link to do it.. (find for WLAN override 2nd  search you will find the feature info and config as well)
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/products_qanda_item09186a00808b4c61.shtml
    if ur WLC is above 4.2 or later, then its called AP-Grouping. here is the link..

  • Running BAT to create ADP on users associated with two devices

    Problem Details: I have a couple question about behavior of the Bulk Administration Tool that allows you to automatically generate Device Profiles.
    1) If a user is associated to a 7941 and a IP Communicator and you run the tool and select to use the personal profile as the logout profile will it set the user as the logout profile for both of the associated devices?
    2) Does it port Speed Dials as well as lines?

    When you select the logout profile for the user, it will be applied to all the associated devices for that particular user.

  • I would like to change users associated with my imovie project

    I'm thinking this is simple but I can't figure out how to do it (I'n new to Macs). I downloaded a movie from my camera and worked on a couple projects before realizing that I was logged in under my sons account. When I log into my account I can't find the movie or the projects. How do I transition the stuff over?

    It is simple if you have an external drive. Do you?

  • CUPS - Shortcut to assigning users with lines?

    Is there any bulk way to assign users to the line apperances of the user's phone in CallManager?  I need to do this for Presence, but it's a very manual task.  I've tried exporting the phones, but I don't see anywhere in the export where it shows the user/dn assocation.  To be clear, I'm not talking about device association in the end user account, I'm speaking of the end user associated with the DN on the phone (all the way at the bottom of the DN configuration page).

  • Can I change the Apple ID associated with a serial number?

    I just purchased an iPad 1 used. The previous owner had its serial number registered under his Apple ID. Does anyone know how to change the apple ID associated with a serial number? On my iPad I am the apple user associated with the device. I am not the associated Apple ID on the Apple website.

    Here is the Apple product registration web site.
    https://register.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/GlobaliReg.woa
    If you have the receipt for the device, it really doesn't matter to whom the device is registered. The warranty is tied to the device, not the owner of the device so the warranty effectively transfers when you buy the iPad from the previous owner.
    Here is the site where you can check to see how long the warranty is still good for.
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
    Actually, I think all you need is the serial number if you need warranty service and it doesn't matter who owns the iPad at the time that service or warranty issues arise.

  • Reading a user associated to a particular Lookuptable value in project server 2013

    Hello guys,
    Please help me out how will i be able to read a user associated with a particular RBS value. and one more thing how can i group the resources and their corresponding RBS value through PSI.
    Any sample and suggestion would be appreciated.

    Hi
    You can use the Resources and Lookup table web services to get these information
    few pointes
    --Reading all the resources
      resourceDS = SResource.ReadResources(string.Empty, false);
                Guid cdval;
                Guid newcdval;
                Boolean fd = false;
    --Going though each resource
                foreach (SVCResource.ResourceDataSet.ResourcesRow rsd in resourceDS.Resources)
                    SVCResource.ResourceDataSet ResData = SResource.ReadResource(rsd.RES_UID);
                    fd = false;
    --Checking Custom field value for each resource
                    foreach (SVCResource.ResourceDataSet.ResourceCustomFieldsRow rsrow in ResData.ResourceCustomFields)
    --Checking the RBS custom field
                        if (rsrow.MD_PROP_UID == <CustomFieldID for RBS>)
    --Check the code value(you can read the lookup table and get the code value for each lookup table value)
                            cdval = rsrow.CODE_VALUE;
       --your code for storing the resources to a variable
    --Hope this helps

  • How to get all AD User accounts, associated with any application/MSA/Batch Job running in a Local or Remote machine using Script (PowerShell)

    Dear Scripting Guys,
    I am working in an AD migration project (Migration from old legacy AD domains to single AD domain) and in the transition phase. Our infrastructure contains lots
    of Users, Servers and Workstations. Authentication is being done through AD only. Many UNIX and LINUX based box are being authenticated through AD bridge to AD.
    We have lot of applications in our environment. Many applications are configured to use Managed Service Accounts. Many Workstations and servers are running batch
    jobs with AD user credentials. Many applications are using AD user accounts to carry out their processes.
    We need to find out all those AD Users, which are configured as MSA, Which are configured for batch jobs and which are being used for different applications on
    our network (Need to find out for every machine on network).
    These identified AD Users will be migrated to the new Domain with top priority. I get stuck with this requirement and your support will be deeply appreciated.
    I hope a well designed PS script can achieve this.
    Thanks in advance...
    Thanks & Regards Bedanta S Mishra

    Hey Satyajit,
    Thank you for your valuable reply. It is really a great notion to enable account logon audit and collect those events for the analysis. But you know it is also a tedious job when thousand of Users come in to picture. You can imagine how complex it will be
    for this analysis, where more than 200000 users getting logged in through AD. It is the fact that when a batch / MS or an application uses a Domain Users credential with successful process, automatically a successful logon event will be triggered in associated
    DC. But there are also too many users which are not part of these accounts like MSA/Batch jobs or not linked to any application. In that case we have to get through unwanted events.
    Recently jrv, provided me a beautiful script to find out all MSA from a machine or from a list of machines in an AD environment. (Covers MSA part.)
    $Report= 'Audit_Report.html'
    $Computers= Get-ADComputer -Filter 'Enabled -eq $True' | Select -Expand Name
    $head=@'
    <title>Non-Standard Service Accounts</title>
    <style>
    BODY{background-color :#FFFFF}
    TABLE{Border-width:thin;border-style: solid;border-color:Black;border-collapse: collapse;}
    TH{border-width: 1px;padding: 2px;border-style: solid;border-color: black;background-color: ThreeDShadow}
    TD{border-width: 1px;padding: 2px;border-style: solid;border-color: black;background-color: Transparent}
    </style>
    $sections=@()
    foreach($computer in $Computers){
    $sections+=Get-WmiObject -ComputerName $Computer -class Win32_Service -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue |
    Select-Object -Property StartName,Name,DisplayName |
    ConvertTo-Html -PreContent "<H2>Non-Standard Service Accounts on '$Computer'</H2>" -Fragment
    $body=$sections | out-string
    ConvertTo-Html -Body $body -Head $head | Out-File $report
    Invoke-Item $report
    A script can be designed to get all scheduled back ground batch jobs in a machine, from which the author / the Owner of that scheduled job can be extracted. like below one...
    Function Get-ScheduledTasks
    Param
    [Alias("Computer","ComputerName")]
    [Parameter(Position=1,ValuefromPipeline=$true,ValuefromPipelineByPropertyName=$true)]
    [string[]]$Name = $env:COMPUTERNAME
    [switch]$RootOnly = $false
    Begin
    $tasks = @()
    $schedule = New-Object -ComObject "Schedule.Service"
    Process
    Function Get-Tasks
    Param($path)
    $out = @()
    $schedule.GetFolder($path).GetTasks(0) | % {
    $xml = [xml]$_.xml
    $out += New-Object psobject -Property @{
    "ComputerName" = $Computer
    "Name" = $_.Name
    "Path" = $_.Path
    "LastRunTime" = $_.LastRunTime
    "NextRunTime" = $_.NextRunTime
    "Actions" = ($xml.Task.Actions.Exec | % { "$($_.Command) $($_.Arguments)" }) -join "`n"
    "Triggers" = $(If($xml.task.triggers){ForEach($task in ($xml.task.triggers | gm | Where{$_.membertype -eq "Property"})){$xml.task.triggers.$($task.name)}})
    "Enabled" = $xml.task.settings.enabled
    "Author" = $xml.task.principals.Principal.UserID
    "Description" = $xml.task.registrationInfo.Description
    "LastTaskResult" = $_.LastTaskResult
    "RunAs" = $xml.task.principals.principal.userid
    If(!$RootOnly)
    $schedule.GetFolder($path).GetFolders(0) | % {
    $out += get-Tasks($_.Path)
    $out
    ForEach($Computer in $Name)
    If(Test-Connection $computer -count 1 -quiet)
    $schedule.connect($Computer)
    $tasks += Get-Tasks "\"
    Else
    Write-Error "Cannot connect to $Computer. Please check it's network connectivity."
    Break
    $tasks
    End
    [System.Runtime.Interopservices.Marshal]::ReleaseComObject($schedule) | Out-Null
    Remove-Variable schedule
    Get-ScheduledTasks -RootOnly | Format-Table -Wrap -Autosize -Property RunAs,ComputerName,Actions
    So I think, can a PS script be designed to get the report of all running applications which use domain accounts for their authentication to carry out their process. So from that result we can filter out the AD accounts being used for those
    applications. After that these three individual modules can be compacted in to a single script to provide the desired output as per the requirement in a single report.
    Thanks & Regards Bedanta S Mishra

    Please click "Mark As Answer" if my post helped. Tony C.
    Hi Tony,
    Srry but No.  We just installed the monthly updates.
    I went back and found I had missed removing a patch.  I missed the rollup for Windows Server 2003:
    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: NtServicePack
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 4382
    Date:  3/12/2015
    Time:  12:26:04 PM
    User:  NETTEST\admin
    Computer: DATA1
    Description:
    Windows Server 2003 KB954920 was removed from your computer, and the previous Windows Server 2003 configuration was restored.
    After I removed that is still didn't work but after about five minutes it started working.
    I guess I ned to report that to MS after I research what might be changed to make the patch work.
    Every time I get stuck and ask for help it seems to be just before I stumble on the solution.
    Thanks for replying.
    Well - maybe this will help someone else.
    Thanks again for replying Tony

  • In Mail, the "From" line shows the wrong name associated with the email id. How do I update it?

    In Mail, the "From" line shows the wrong name associated with my email ID. I've looked over preferences and account information but have not found where I can update it.

    There isn't an email address associated with the contact name who appears as the "from" in Mail. It used to be a shared email address and I already had updated the contact to list only the phone number in case that was causing the problem.
