Users cannot setup SmartView 9.3 Connection Manager

Hi All,
One of my client is facing problem while connecting to applciation through smartview. No error message is displayed. Users cannot complete SmartView connection manager setup for data source and there is a error pop-up with blank message.
Any suggestions would be of great help.

If the client is using internet explorer 7 there could be a time out issue. You have to increase the registry setting

    then i am able to setup data source on powerbi
    however, when i browses the data source table from the powerbi site

    thanks for your advice. But i have installed .Net 4.5.1 and then reboot my machine and restart the gateway
    However , I still cannot see table and view schema when i click the following
    on the powerbi -> choose the data source -> edit -> data settings
    And i receive the alter

  • SAPJSF user cannot log-on to the User Management Engine.

    We have a newly installed PI 7.0 system.
    SLDCHECK is succussful but if we go to the http://hostname:50100/sld - we are redirected to http://hostname:50100/logon/logonServlet?redirectURL=%2Fwebdynpro%2Fdispatcher%2Fsap.com%2Ftc%7Esld%7Ewd%7Emain%2FMain
    When we check the default.trc file, we see the error: User "SAPJSF" is the communication user for the connection between User Management Engine and the ABAP backend system SIDCLNTxyz. This user cannot log-on to the User Management Engine.
    The SAPJSF user is not locked in SU01.  This user is used by the JCO providers to connect to the gateway service.
    We opened Visual Administrator and navigated to Server0 -> Services -> UM Provider
    We changed the password  property at ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
    We then restarted the ABAP and J2EE engine.  But we still see this error.
    Any help to solve this issue is appreciate.

    Please, refer the link below. It says you cannot logon with SAPJSF user to J2EE engine for security reasons.

  • Nokia Connection Manager - Cannot use the connecti...

    Can someone PLEASE try and help me
    I have the following details:
    Phone: Nokia C5;
    Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
    Nokia PC Suite: Version 7.1.60.0
    I cannot use bluetooth & USB connection. When I try to select it in the Connection Manager I get an error message "  Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available. (Code: OpenMedia) ". I have tried to reinstall nokia pc suite but no result.  The connection worked before. The PC Suite of my computer was upgraded and now the bluetooth & usb are not working any more.
    Please Help Me

    I am not sure whether this will solve your problem but you could try this once.
    1. Disconnect your phone from PC if connected.
    2 .Open Control Panel and go to ‘Programs and Features’
    3. From the list of available programs, choose ‘Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver’
    4. Click on the ‘Change’ button on top toolbar.
    5. In the setup dialog box that pops up next, choose ‘Repair’ and select ok. Wait for setup to complete.
    6. Restart the computer if prompted.
    7. Now connect your phone to the PC. Driver installation should complete and PC/Ovi suite (hopefully) should detect your mobile properly now.

    I  have an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC and keep getting an error "cannot connect to HP Connection Manager. Error 80080005" I have tried unsuccessfully to resolve through prompts. Any ideas?

    Hello Mrmcmorris.  I understand you're wondering how to get the latest drivers for your notebook.
    The easiest way to get the latest drivers is to ensure that you have both the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant installed.  Then you can run HP Support Assistant.  It will scan your system and check HP's database for any updates to your drivers and HP-software.

  • Sharing only users cannot connect to Lion Server

    Dear all,
    I stumbled across a funny problem, that I tried to resolve all day. I just wanted to add a sharing only user for my girlfriends new MacBook that she could use to connect to a shared Time Machine Volume.
    If I add a new standard user, this user can connect to my server via finder (connect as...) and see the shared drives. If the same user tries to connect to the Time Machine Backup Volume via the settings dialog, it receives an error message (OSStatus-error 5).
    If I add a sharing only user, this user cannot connect via finder or Time Machine (same error). The clients console states the following error message:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/NetAuthAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/NetAuthAgent[2471]      AFP error -5018 mapped to EIO
    Does anybody have an Idea?

    That is my point.  Yes, Apple still lets you add users via users and groups in system preferences but that is not how you should be adding users.  I've seen nothing but trouble when that option is used to add users and I believe that the Lion server docs say to not use that.  If you are using lion server why not use it the way it was meant to be.  Just create a account in OD and only give her access to the Time Machine Service and none of the others.

    Are the VPN clients in a different subnet from your LAN?  If so, I would suspect a routing issue, either your VPN clients either don't know how to get to the LAN subnet and/or the LAN clients don't know how to get to the VPN client subnet.

  • Users cannot connect over SMB 10.10.1 server.app 4.0 and 4.0.3

    I have an issue where users cannot connect to a server for files sharing over SMB.
    Info:
    All users on 10.10.1
    2 Servers on 10.10.1
    Server.app 4.0.3 but issue was also present using 4.0
    SMB connection works when connecting to the OD Master
    SMB does not work when connecting to the OD Replica ServerBut AFP works fine when connecting to the OD Replica Server.
    I have destroyed and re-added the OD replica but that did not seem to help

    I suspect the problem is to do with Kerberos and in relation to this server being an OD Replica.

    I have the same problem although I upgraded from Lion Server to Mountain Lion Server. The error appears to go hand in hand with this error.
    userInit: CFPreferences: user home directory for user kCFPreferencesCurrentUser at /Network/Servers/fullyqualifieddomainname/Users/user is unavailable. User domains will be volatile.
    I've read a number of things to try. A lot of people point to DNS being a problem, but I'm confident this is correct in my environment.

    I'm using Oracle XDK Java 9.2.0.3.0 Production
    I try to bring up the xsqlservlet through the demo
    and get this error :

    A Procedure is distributed by SAP  how to Use ”Promotion Management”  in a OTAP/ DTAP street.

    This is a very good/useful   procedure. This procedure works  with an “Enterprise”  Account. 
    In our environment we ONLY work with  “Windows AD”  accounts. (to keep users management very straight forward.)
    We do not get the procedure working with “Windows AD” account.
    Our procedures stops at Section:  “07.3 Add to VM”:
    The selected webi document, within the promotion Job, is not getting "checked in" in  Version Management.
    After that all other steps are useless.
    Windows AD user cannot use Promotion management, but Why?
    (If we use version managment on the individual webi report, with a windows AD user everyting works fine)

    We run SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2 Patch 3.
    In SAPBO4.1 we had to extend the properties of 2 services:
    AdaptiveJobServer and the AdaptiveProcessingServer.
    Now we can use windows active directory for promotion management,
    thanx.

  • Windows XP User cannot connect to OS X Server... Keeps asking for password.

    I have made my iMac G5 into a server. It is running OS X Server 10.5.7 with all updates. Only use it for file sharing. Have it setup as a standard server. Only have two users and can verify that SMB is running through the Server Admin application.
    I use XP Pro with SP3 on my MacBook Pro. Both machines have relativley fresh installs that are unaltered. Both the windows side of my laptop as well as the SMB are set to the same workgroup.
    When I am in XP I do the following:
    1. Double click on My Network Places
    2. In the My Network Places Window I click on the left hand column: View Workgroup Computers
    3. I see my server: iMac Server (Imacserver)
    4. Double click that icon... get a user login window with the title: Connect to imacserver.private
    5. Input my user name and password (the same that I would use while in Leopard... which works fine) - Click OK.
    Here is what I don't understand.
    6. The login window comes back after about 10-15 seconds. As if the login was incorrect to try again.
    7. The user name field now has in front of my name the name of the 'PC' forward slash my user name?? For example: MACPC24335\username
    Why can I not connect to my server... in leopard it is very seemless and works fine... I feel that I am over looking something. Any thoughts or ideas as to why this is not working?

    Start->Run...->Open:\\<ipadressofyourmac>\<sharename>
    You will be prompted for your username and password.
    Or
    'My Computer'->'Tools'->'Map network drive...'
    enter:
    \\<ipadressofyourmac>\<sharename>
    in the 'Folder' field.
    Click 'Connect using a _different user name_.'.
    Enter your server username and password.
    Click 'OK'.
    Click 'Finish'.

  • User cannot connect to backend system with user J2EE_ADMIN.

    I am using Rapid Installer to initiate the second part of the installtion "ERP 6.0 EhP 3 – Self-Service Scenarios and Automatic Roles".  When I get to the J2EE User section to enter the parameters, the user is defaulted to "Administrator" and I enter my password.  I click next and get this message "User cannot connect to backend system with user J2EE_ADMIN."  Any ideas?

    If this is a double stack installation, you need to enter J2EE_ADMIN as user, NOT administrator.
