USI encountered an exception (241)

Hi, I am using SignalExpress to acquire 32 voltages via a NI 9205 card in a CompactDAQ cDAQ-9174. Nothing too complicated really.
The acquisition goes fine, and creates a folder with 3 files that look like this...
Voltage                    National Instruments TDMS Importer For Microsoft Excel        504KB
Voltage.tdms_index  TDMS_INDEX File                                                                242KB
Voltage_meta           Text Document                                                                       3KB
When I try to import the data into Excel, I get the following error...
TDM Importer
USI Encountered an exception:
(241): Cannot create bulk: attribute of wf_start_offset does not exist on entity tdm_channel
I have downloaded the latest TDM add-in for Excel 2007 from the NI web site.
I have Microsoft Office 2007 running under Windows 7 Enterprise 2009
I have acquired several data sets and they all come up with this error when I try to import them into Excel.
If you can solve this for me I will be such a happy bunny!

Hi, I am using LabVIEW 2010 Signal Express Version 4.0.0
I have attached the three files from the data folder... If they get stopped then let me know and I'll email them.
Hang on,... It won't transmit the text file, so I'll try the other two...

    Hi Julez K,
    According to your description, you could try upgrading to CU6.
    In addition, you could review the Exchange Application (App) Event log and the Exchange System (Sys) Event log for errors , and some related resolutions for your reference.

  • Run a web dynpro application encounter WDUMException exception...

    Dear guys,
    We currently encounter a error when we run a web dynpro application.
    That is, once a user click a url which will redirect to the enterprise portal,
    the com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.um.api.WDUMException is thrown.
    I have checked the cause of the exception is that "if there is no user (neither authenticated nor anonymous user) attached to the current session"
    The following is our situation:
    When linking to EP domain(ex. http://sapep.xxx.com), single signed on wil automatically process.
    The url which I mentioned above is something like "http://sapep.xxx.com/portal?doc=xxx&ver=2010"
    Our web dynpro program will invoke the IWDClientUser api initially for get the currently logon user's information.
    And this is caused the WDUMException.
    We think that the error is because that the session is not created while loading the web dynpro application,
    so that, the system can't get the cuurent user with a non-user session.
    The situation is not often happened. We think this is because of the system service issue.
    So we try to prevent this problem with the following mechanism:
    When the excpetion is thrown, we invoke a waiting program to let the system has time to generate the require session.
    So when invoke the IWDClientUser, this exception can be prevented.
    Any suggestion.please advise, thanks.

    Try using WDPortalUtils.isRunningInPortal() method to see if the session (somehow) disconnects
    Hi,
    We check the method you proposing, but seems it's not the method to check the session of the current user.
    The API of WDPortalUtils.isRunningInPortal() is as follows:
    public static boolean isRunningInPortal()
            Checks whether or not the Web Dynpro application is running the the portal environment or not.
            Returns:
                  true if the Web Dynpro application is running in the portal environment, false otherwise.
    Is there any other API which can check the current session alive or not?
    thanks.

  • Visual Studio has encountered an exception. This may be caused by an extension

    This problem began immediately after installed WinDDK 6001.18001 whose document handler apparently interferes with Visual Studio 2010. How to correct?

    Hi FrankNatoli,
    Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
    WinDDK 6001.18001
    Could you share me the link where you download it? You mean that it worked well before you install it, am I right?
    If so, whether it worked well if you remove it?
    Not the real expert about WinDDK, whether it is an add-in in your VS IDE, if so, you could disable it under TOOLS->Extension Manager.
    Anyway, we need to make sure that whether it is related to your extension tools. Or you could run your VS in safe mode, check it again.
    If we make sure that it is related to this extension tool, maybe you could re-install it again. Or you could post this issue to the following forum like this thread

  • Tdm importer error when opening tdms file

    I am getting a error when trying to open a tdms file that had been opened by labview, written to, and then closed. The error is:
    USI encountered an exception:
    (175):Error while initializing interface
    I can sort of understand this error occuring when I have the file open in labview (actually I consider this to be a bug since there is no reason why another application should not be able to access a file in read only mode even if it is currently open by another application)
    but in my case I am definitely closing the tdms reference and it still will not import unless I stop the top level vi.

    It is a known bug that if you open a TDMS file with an option other
    than "read-only", no other process can get access to that file, even if
    it is just for reading. The issue is filed as CAR#  49794JWJ
    (status: fixed). This only applies if the file is still open, which you
    commented on, but which doesn't appear to be your actual problem.
    Apparently, you are using the Storage VIs to handle your TDMS files,
    otherwise you couldn't get a USI exception. Have you tried opening your
    file with the TDMS File Viewer on the TDM Streaming palette? If that
    doesn't work, please provide us with your TDMS file, and if possible,
    your VI. This would be a problem that we're not aware of at this point.
    Thank you,
    Herbert

  • Analog pulse, external trigger and TDMS logging

    I am working on a VI that will output an analog pulse, then log data when it receives an external trigger.  I have both parts working separately: I can output the pulse and read data when an external trigger is received (Pulse&Acq.jpg), and I can log data when an external trigger is received (TDMS Logging.jpg).  However, when I try to combine them I cannot import the resulting TDMS file (Pulse&Log.jpg).  I get the following error: USI encountered an exception: (326): Bulk:: GetValues failed for attribute.  Additionally, the importer opens two workbooks, which appear to be identical, and both have the USI error.
    Any ideas?  Thanks!

    Hello,
    For the bottom part (Analog Input triggered by digital pulse and saved in TDMS) you start the task AFTER the pulse is sent (by the top part), if you place the start for the analog task before the while loop I think it will work fine.
    EDIT : The thing that surprises me a bit is that the Pulse&Acq example works... maybe I'm just all wrong...
    Hope this helps

    #### Cannot run application UI due to error deploying to DefaultServer.

    I was facing a similar error, the problem was because of adf-controller.jar. My error was :
    java.lang.IllegalAccessError: tried to access method oracle.adf.controller.v2.lifecycle.Lifecycle$Phase.<init>(Ljava/lang/String;)V from class oracle.adfinternal.controller.faces.lifecycle.JSFLifecycle$JSFPhase
    The jar's 10g edition has  (1st part)oracle.adf.controller.v2.lifecycle.Lifecycle$Phase and 11g edition has (2nd part) oracle.adfinternal.controller.faces.lifecycle.JSFLifecycle$JSFPhase. So I created my own jar extracting both jars at one place using the following command
    jar -cf adf-controller.jar .
    This solved my problem.
    Hope you get the idea. The best way to face these type of errors is opening the archive and checking for the files for which the compiler is complaining.

                                           zunxian.cheng

    Zunxian,
    The error message "Invalid request., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE" makes it seem like there's something wrong with the request. You generally get an error message of the group  RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE when there's something wrong with the backend system, or when you send a request that makes it dump.
    What Bapi/RFM are you trying to call?
    have a look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/f6/daea401675752ae10000000a155106/content.htm">this explaination of different JCO Exceptions</a> for more information.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: End of TNS data channel

    Hello folks,
    Has amyone encountered this exception? If so, could you please shed some light for what might be going wrong?
    Here is my confuguration:
    400MB RAM
    1.2GHTz processor
    Win2K Pro
    Oracle server 9.0.1
    JDBC Thin driver (libs for 9.0.1)
    Scenario:
    My Java code uses Oracle Spatial to insert SDO_GEOMETRY objects into my DB model.
    I have a config file where I store my connection properties, e.g.,
    <DBConnection name="twatest">
    <JDBCDriver>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</JDBCDriver>
    <URL>jdbc:oracle:thin:@saturn:1521:saturn</URL>
    <Username>user1</Username>
    <Password>twatest</Password>
    </DBConnection>
    We have 2 schemas defined: user1 and twatest.
    The problem first occured when I switched from user1 to twatest. Consequent attempt to run the process as user user1 failed! The Java SQL statements do not use schemas (so they default, I suppose, to the default schema for that particular user, in our case being user1-->user1, twatest-->twatest).
    The problem happens in the following Java class (search for "HERE" to see where exactly the problem occurs):
    package com.vividsolutions.twatest;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.sql.*;
    import oracle.sql.*;
    import oracle.sdoapi.OraSpatialManager;
    import oracle.sdoapi.geom.*;
    import oracle.sdoapi.adapter.*;
    import oracle.sdoapi.sref.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.parser.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.config.*;
    import com.vividsolutions.twatest.model.*;

    My client class calls LakeLoader.loadLake() method in a loop to load a bunch of Lake objects into the DB. The first lake in the list is created without problems, but when the 2-nd lake is being inserted, I get an exception at the preparedStatement.executeUpdate() statement. This happens consistently.
    I tried to find information on this on the net, but seems that this problem only happened when people dealt with LOBs?!
    Thank you very much!

    Suresh -- I'd probably log a TAR with Oracle support for this question if you definitely need it resolved. Support have access to all manner of existing cases, so this may be something they have seen before.
