Using 2 webcams

does anyone know whether it's possible to use 2 webcams with JMF at the same time?
My JMF Registry only detects one of them.. This is exactly the same webcams. Windows manages to control them at the same time, but not JMF...
Heeeeeeeeelp please...

You can use,
as you have said that they there same, they will be using the same drivers
and hence you will see only one in the jmf registry
does anyone know whether it's possible to use 2

The cheap & easy way is to just drag the app to the Trash.
    If you want to get all of the associated files use an app deleting app like the free AppCleaner;
    http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
Just drag an app and drop it on the AppCleaner icon in the Dock and it will find and present to you all the files it thinks are associated with the app. You can uncheck any that you want to keep and then let AppCleaner Trash the rest.

  • How to view image by using webcam at other computer.

I am student. Now I make one project by using LabVIEW software.
    Now, my question is:
I have two computer, both computer got install software LabVIEW. And the programming for viewing image by using webcam already finished done.
Now is, I want to open Webcam at computer B from Computer A. I already search, found that techique "Web Publishing Tools" can do this. Beside this, got another easier technique to do this?

There are other ways in which you can transfer images over the network but you will need to do some programming for it. Have a look at the following links:

  • Can you use webcam on msn?

i tried using webcam on msn but there is no link, does this mean it doesnt support it?

    Welcome to Discussions, Simone17
MSN Messenger for Mac does not support video except via Office Communications Server 2007 (usually paid for by commercial enterprises rather than individual users.) However, even without the paid server, it is possible for you to use your iNtel Mac to video with your friends who use the PC version of the MSN Messenger family of apps. Here are a couple of ways you can try:
    (1) Take a look at   aMSN   and   Mercury
Either can do webcam video with your built-in iSight.
They work a bit differently, so use whichever you find easiest or most reliable on your MBA.
    (2) As an alternative, because your iNtel Mac can use Boot Camp, VMware Fusion™, Parallels™, or VirtualBox to run Windows® software, you can choose which method you want to use, add the required software to your iNtel Mac (if you have not already done so), and then install and use the same Windows® Messenger application that your contacts are using to video chat with them.
The Windows drivers for your built-in iSight and your other Mac hardware are on the disk with Boot Camp so, after you have installed a compatible version of Windows on your Mac, you can install the iSight driver and use your built-in iSight if you like. If you need more help on this, search or post in Boot Camp discussions category
    (3) If your friends are willing to try something "new and improved" (does NOT work with Messenger):
you can both install and try a different video chat app such as Google Talk or Skype.

  • Issues with using webcam in Flash Windows 8.1

    Hi there
Anyone else experiencing this and can help?
I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and ever since then I cannot get Flash Player to display my webcam on various chat sites and realtime messaging tools.
All i end up with is a white pane where the webcam image should be. Is there any way of getting this to work as this is causing lots of problems for me?
I have tried changing the settings, running in compatability mode etc but nothing seems to work. As I am on Windows 8.1 I cannot even try the Flash Player 12 beta to see if that resolves it.

8.1 is (with the possible exception of Vista) the worst abomination Microsoft ever released. And IE11 (which I suppose you're using too) is every bit as bad.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Cannot use webcam on my Satellite A300

    Hi there
I have installed Windows 7 home premium in my laptop (it had windows Vista) and ever since I can't use my webcam.
It doesn't appear in device manager and I have install and uninstall many times the drivers but every time I see the message that says that the camera is either disconnected or destroyed and restart the camera or the computer.
Is there a way to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.....
My laptop is Satellite A300-20W with model number PSAGCE-09N00DGE and serial number 29353297Q

    > i want to know if the problem can be easily solved so i can solve it or it is difficult...if it is difficult or i need to exchange camera i won't do anything..
Its always difficult to disassemble the notebook. Its not like a disassembling of desktop PCs. If you never disassembled such notebook, I would not recommend doing this because you could damage other parts. I think you should ask an specialist to check if the cable is lose or not.
    > how can i install the original vista recovery image??
Well, you have to use the Toshiba Recovery disk. If you did not create such disk, then you will need to order such disk from Toshiba. Check some threads in the Product Recovery forum.
    > do i need to remove windows 7
Yes, the recovery disk will format the whole HDD and would remove also the Win 7 system. All your data would be deleted so backup the data before doing such things.

  • Skype Crashing When Calling/Using Webcam

Hi, I currently have two Logitech webcams that are the same model on my Windows PC. I decided to use one instead of the other. Before that, everything worked fine. But when I unplugged the one and plugged in the other, I went to Skype video settings and Skype froze. I checked to make sure that the webcam itself functioned normally which it did. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, but still every time I open the Skype video settings or even just make a call, skype will freeze, and my 2 monitors connected to my graphics card with lose signal, whilst the one connected to my Intel built in graphics will stay on, but not responsive. This still continues to happen even if I unplug my microphone.

  • Browsers freeze when i try to use webcam

For the past week, everytime i try to use my webcam my browser freezes and I need to use task manager to close it.  I have the same problem on FIrefox 5.0 and IE 8.  I am using a dell laptop with windows 7. I use a logitech webcam.  Sometimes i am able to use the integrated webcam but the logitech always leads to a crash. I have  reinstalled shockwave flash 10.1 r53 by downloading the uninstaller and the installer. To use the uninstaller i close all programs use the uninstall program, restart, restart computer again and then install Flash 10.1 r53 and then restart the system.  I have done this several times in the past week. everything works fine until i try to use the logitech webcam.  Up until this week i have not had any problems using the webcam. I checked the NPSWF32.dll and the version is 10,1,53,64.  By reading these forums i see that i am not alone with these problems.  I hope i have listed everthing that is pertinant.  Please help!
    Thanks

I was able to replicate this problem and believe it may be a bug, although I did find a "workaround".
The straighten tool was only drawing for a very short distance and then I would no longer see the straighten line.  Of course, this prevented me from using it properly.  I followed the suggestions in this thread and reset the preferences.   The Straighten tool worked normally until I enabled the ruler under the View settings.  Once, the ruler was enabled the straighten tool started doing the same thing it did before.  I turned off the ruler and it started working normally again without re-opening the program.  I tried the ruler both in the default inches measurement as well as pixels (my personal ruler preference).
The workaround would be to turn off the ruler while straightening.  However, I hope this is fixed in a patch.  I didn't have this problem with Photoshop Elements 9, the last version of Elements I had prior to upgrading.    For the record, I'm running Windows 7, just installed Photoshop Elements 11 and immediately downloaded the updates, which I believe was just the Adobe Raw 7.3 update.

  • How to track line using webcam vision and move along it

    Hi everyone,
I have a question which I can't really find any topic about it.
Currently, I had made my rover robot to be control wirelessly using a 3-Axis joystick and working perfectly.
But I would like to add some features to the vision system on board the rover.
I am trying to make the webcam to detect black line against white background and then it will just autonomously move along the the black line.
The thing is I only know abit about vision setup.. So if any one out there able to guide me along the way?
Do I use colour pattern matching or colour matching or pattern match?
How to I make sure the black line stays in the middle of the vision?(Eg. moving itself to centre the line within its vision)
How do I control the motors using the vision aquired from the above?

    Hey,
    To your questions:
Do I use colour pattern matching or colour matching or pattern match?
Pattern Matching or Color Pattern Matching would be to slow.
I would use a Simple 1D Edge detection which returns the coordinates and angle of the edge.
How to I make sure the black line stays in the middle of the vision?(Eg. moving itself to centre the line within its vision)
You have to control your motors that e.g. the angle is 0 or 90 degrees (depending on your coordinate system) all the time.
How do I control the motors using the vision aquired from the above?
The manual of this robot should tell you how to control the motors.
    Hope this helps,
    Christian

  • How to Capture High Quality Picture in Flex using webcam

    Hi All,
We need to use the built-in webcam to caputre the high quality still image. However, seems the webcam is set to video capture mode by default. The built-in cam is 1.3 mega pixel or 2.0 mega pixel, however, the resolution of still image caputured is quite low, around 0.3 mega only.
Anyone knows how to utilize the web cam to capature the high quality image in Flex?
    Thanks a lot!

It is hard to believe that I've figured the whole thing out and accomplished my goal - while it being my first dip in flex & actionscript.
