Using 2G iPod Touch with Motorola S805 can't skip tracks

I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch running the 3.1.1 firmware and I just recently bought the Motorola S805 bluetooth headphones. For some reason, I can't use the built-in controls on the S805 to skip forward and back through tracks. The play/pause and volume controls work fine. I know that it is not a problem with the headphones because the skip controls worked with my music-enabled cell phone. Is this a compatibility issue on Apple's part by not being standardized with the AVCTP (Audio/Visual Control Transport Protocol) or just an issue that sometimes arises during pairing? Any input would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I found the answer -- apple devices do not full support bluetooth avrcp profile version 1.0. Apple only supports pause/play/stop.

Can I use one iPod Touch with 2 accounts? Can I download onto the one iPod from each account?

I havent seen anything confirming this but I suspect not. that would require you keep logging in and out of the two accounts since you can only sign in to one at once. In iTunes on your computer if you log into another iTunes account you can't log into another one for 90 days. As I say I've seen nothing confirming this on a mobile device, but I suspect it will be the same.

  • Can i use my ipod touch with airport express?

I will be staying in a hotel that only offers hard wire internet connection.  Can I use my ipod touch with airport express to have have WiFi?  I won't have my computer with me.
    Thanks!

Yes, you can. However, you will not be able to administer the AirPort from the iPod Touch. Thus you would need to pre-configure the AirPort Express to work at the particular hotel that you will be staying at. Note: Most hotels now offer Wi-Fi in the rooms and the Express may not be necessary.

  • How do i use 2 ipod touches with 1 itunes account?

how do i use 2 ipod touches with 1 itunes account?  can they share apps and music etc. I'm not very good at any tech so advise would be much appreciated.

Yes. You can sync an unlimited number of iDvies that you control to one iTunes library/account. If using the same iTunes library on the same comutr just make sure that yu go to the ap. music and other pane for the iPod in iTunes and select sycn selected items. Not the the whole library.  That way each iPod can have it own contents.

    Hi,
You don't give much away there!
My guess, you don't have an internet connection, or fast one at least, at home?
I think you would need your Touch with you to get the 2.0.2 update.

  • Using an iPod Touch with a cracked screen?

    Hi people,
Well my bad - let my 4 year play some games on my iPod.... usually this is not a problem... but for the first time since I got it (over a year ago) he dropped it on the floor and cracked the screen diagonally from edge to edge (even though I had one of those rubber cases around it).
The iPod still works per normal.... but what I am wondering is if it safe to use in such condition? The cracked is edge to edge so I am thinking if the screen is continued to be pushed upon that the it will only make the situation (crack) worse.
Should I bother continuing to use it - or just go out and get another one? Your opinions please
    Chris

My opinion is, why in the world would you let a 4 yo even touch your ipod?? But to answer your question if you have a warrenty, you might be able to get a new one, even if you damaged it yourself. If the display is still ok, then I see no reason why you can't continue using it, maybe get one of those stick on screen protectors, might help from cracking even more.

  • Is it possible to use your iPod Touch 4th Gen from your computer?

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen. And I broke the screen, the sent it in to get fixed... the people put the screen on wrong. It worked for a while, then it stopped working. I was trying to use it one day, and I accedentaly put on the curtain mode. So now, I have an iPod Touch with the I can't use. I haven't sent it in yet though. So in the mean time I've been trying to find a way to use my iPod without actually using my iPod. If you get what I'm saying.
Does anyone know how I can use my iPod without actually "using it"?
    Please you'd save my life!

With the exception of using a docking station to play music, there is no way to "use" your iPod through your computer.
And what the heck is "curtain mode"?

No. The FT app does not support TV out. The iPod does not support mirroring the screen.

  • Ipod touch with sony DAV-IS

Has anyone tried to use their ipod touch with the Sony DAV-IS system's docking station. I am able to get sound out but no video on TV. The station is connected to the Sony TV with a video cable. Thanks

If this product was made for the iPod video (5th Gen) then it probably won't work

my friend gave me ipod touch with all his accounts, i created new accounts but when i went on the appstore and tried to update apps installed by him,i was asked his account's password! i dont know his password.how can i use my account to update apps?

You can't.  Apps and really all content purchased/downloaded through one Apple ID is forever tied to that Apple ID.  In the case of Apps they will always request that Apple ID to update as they are licensed to that Apple ID.
In reality, the Apps were licensed to that Apple ID by the developer.  And cannot simply be given away to you for you to use.
He should have wiped the iPod clean so you could set it up for your use without any of his accounts or purchased content as you are not really licensed to any of those Apps.
Your friend should have followed this support document before giving the iPod to you:

  • Can I use the camera on my iPod Touch with FaceTime?

I have been trying to use the camera on my iPod Touch with FaceTime.  Will it work?  How do I sign in?  When I click on Preferences the preferences window does not appear, and preferences in the drop down menu becomes greyed out.  I am using an older Apple Cinema Display.  Also Apple doesn't show the iSight camera for sale on the website.

    Hello Chris
Pairing an iPod touch to the computer to use the camera is not supported, but you can use any webcam that can be plugged into the computer.
