Using 3 different cameras on one project ?

Help me understand some things here. I am a little confussed about the p's and i's and mixing them in FCP X .
I primarily use 3 different cameras.
1) Canon MK 5 D MK II at h.264 at 1920 x 1080 29.97 fps or 23.976 fps I assume this is shot progressive, I can't tell from QT 7 inspector.
2) GoPro shooting h.264 at1920 x 1080 P 30 NTSC according to the camera instructions.
3) Sony SR 12 AVCHD at 1920 x 1080 60i according tho the camera manual.
My question boils down to how to handle the 1080 i footage? If my final product is both a DVD and upload to a web host service like vimeo or Exposure Room and UTube.
For the Internet I would export through the share > "X" or share> export movie and convert to 1280 x 720 p and then upload to site. In both cases the 1080i would be deinterlaced.
For DVD I would share> export movie and not convert. The conversion to SD woud be done by the DVD buring software.
In this case what happens to the various formats ? Is the progressive converted to interlaced or is the interlaced converted to progressive.
Should I maybe deinterlace before importing ?
What does my project properties have to do with all of this ?
Any insight would be appreciated.

The simplet method would be to:
1) Make both iPods "enable disk use"
2) Plug in her iPod
3) iTunes will probably ask if she wants to delete all of her songs and replace them with your library, select NO.
4) Open the iPod in Windows Explorer
5) Simply drag & drop the chosen songs from your library onto the iPod in Explorer.

Hi There!
The camera is a Panasonic Lumix. I don't have a USB card reader. I did try and different port although not a different cable.
I did remember one additional thing. I plugged my camera in at work to a PC. It was after that, when I came home, that the iPhoto wasn't working when I connected my camera to our iMac/iPhoto at home. I think this may have caused the problem.

I want to use a different camera to take a picture in Photo Booth. I connect the camera and the mac recognizes it. I can download pictures but I want to take a good quality picture with the effects. Any ideas?

Thanks for letting us know you found the info above helpful.
You probably cannot (or, at least, should not) disconnect your built-in iSight. Here are some alternatives that you can consider.
(1) Unless you are an Apple Service Technician, trying to disconnect your internal iSight will likely void any warranty or Apple Care. Even worse, you might damage something while trying. There are no user serviceable parts for iSight. If you decide that you want your built-in iSight disconnected, see your Apple Authorized Service Provider. He can disconnect it for you in such a way that it could be reconnected should you eventually want to use your built-in iSight again.
(2) Rather than disconnecting your built-in iSight, you could use the instructions in this article to disable it. (It is generally a bad idea to move, modify, rename, or delete any item outside your User > Documents folder unless you are an experienced OS X user.) Once your built-in (USB) cam is disabled, Photo Booth can use your Firewire cam. Because removing the QT component file disables every USB cam connected to your system, this workaround is only useful for users who have an external Firewire cam. If you decide to use this method to disable your built-in iSight, be sure and keep the file in a safe place so you can put it back when you want to use your built-in USB cam again.
(3) If you do not need to make multiple pictures quickly, here's an alternative that does not endanger your Mac's hardware or software integrity. It doesn't use Photo Booth at all. First, make a normal image with the higher-quality camera of your choice. Then, if you used a digital camera, transfer the image to your Mac. Next, open the saved image and modify it using an image editing software application like PhotoShop (PS) or PhotoShop Elements (PSE) to simulate the Photo Booth effects you want. Although it is impossible to EXACTLY DUPLICATE a specific Photo Booth "effect", it is easy to use the various "Filters" and other menu commands in PS or PSE to make an image that most viewers would assume was made with Photo Booth. After a bit of practice, you can do this editing fairly quickly. Although never, of course, as simple as clicking the Photo Booth button, this approach may be worthwhile for those cases where Photo Booth image quality is inadequate for your needs.

Lightroom 5 Darkens Photos after Importing Images Used with Different Camera [NOT SHOOTING IN RAW NOR B

I seriously need help, my whole entire catalog of photos just got darkened for some reason after importing photos used with a different camera. What happened is that I imported photos taken with a different camera (Canon EOS 60D) and when I did that, it darkened all the rest of my photos (taken with Canon EOS Rebel T3). Why did this happen? This is making my photos insanely hard to edit.

If you always want Camera Neutral picture style to be applied, then open one of your images that you have imported and have changed nothing else in Lightroom. Set the camera profile to Camera Neutral and save new camera default settings. Then whenever you import that setting will be applied to all of your images.
If you don't always want that style, you could save a preset that applies the Camera Neutral picture style, and then you could choose to use that preset during the import process.
It is simply a matter of determining your workflow and then setting things the way you want them to work.

Is there any way to use two video resolutions in one project in Pre10?

i looked up this question but didn't find what i was looking for. Pre10 on XP or on Win 7 64 bit( i have Pre 10 on two machines) both with lots of RAM. XP has a dual core processor and Win 7 64 has a quad core.
I shot a concert video with a Sony HDR-XR160 (1920 x1080 16:9) on tripod in back of room for my main camera and used a Panasonic Mini-DV as my roving camera (640x480). i am using the HD on video/audio 1 in timeline and want to use the Mini-DV on v/a 2... but when i cut to the mini-dv footage it plays fine but I see the edges of the HD footage on both sides.... is there any way to make this work??
can i resize the mini-dv footage or will that look weird? should i make a new project and make it 640x480 and what would that do to the HD footage? I thought that the 640x480 footage would look cool as cutaways as it's different res.
(I have another question. in Pre3 i could click on a video track and hold the alt key and use the arrow keys to shift the video track right or left by a frame at a time and that doesn't seem to work in Pre10 I have a matrix audio track to sync with the video. do you want me to start another thread for this question?)

If the SD material is not filling the Frame, which will happen in an HD Project, you will then need to Scale the SD footage to fit. This is what Steve was warning about, as the Scaling will degrade the SD material. One possible option would be to use a program, like Red Giant's Magic Bullet Instant HD, to do the Scaling. While still less quality, than having shot HD to begin with, many users find it pretty good for the up-rezzing.

Solved: Using two different Cameras

I have a question about using cameras in Flash.
I have 3 cameras connected to my computer and I want to say flash put this camera's image to this movie clip and that one's to that movie clip.
I was using following method,
activeCamera.setQuality(0,100);
myMovieClip.output_vid.attachVideo(Camera.get());
But when I tried to use it for double cameras by
myMovieClip.output_vid.attachVideo(Camera.get());
mySecondMovieClip.output_vid.attachVideo(Camera.get());
Flash brought me the same image of default camera.
Is there a way to deal with such problem?

Edit: Ok, I have found out I can solve this by giving some parameter to Camera.get().
eg. Camera.get(0) brings first camera while Camera.get(1) brings second.

It depends, I think. In one of my projects I combined footages from two camcorders – Canon Legria HF M306 (.MTS 1920x1080, 25 f/s) and Kodak Play Sport (.MOV 1280x720, 30 f/s). Project settings – HD 1080i, 25 f/s. Canon of course is much much better than Kodak in all aspects but one. Kodak can shoot under water (up to 30 ft or 10m) without any special equipment. To my surprise all editing (in PrE9) went very smoothly. By the way, besides HD output I made a PAL DVD version in the same project using SHARE option.
I think one of the reasons of my success was installation on my PC both Kodak and Canon software. So all the necessary codecs were already installed before PrE9 began editing. I do not use their software for editing because PrE9 has much more editing power.
I don’t know how PrE9 could manage different frame rates, but one must look at the screen very hard to notice that Kodak footage plays not so smoothly as native (I mean project’s 25 f/s) Canon footage.
So, try and may be you can be as lucky as me.
PS I imported raw (that is without any conversion) files from Canon and Kodak camcorders to my project.

How do I use three different Iphones on one computer?

I have three different iphones being used in one house. So far only one has ever been uploaded and saved to iTunes on the computer itself. I've been scared to do the other two devices in fear that somehow all of our apps will combine or be lost. None of us have the same apps or music. How do I go about adding the other two phones? PLEASE someone help.

Use two different Bapis into one interactive form

Hello. I'm creating a form in which I need the result from two different bapis, but the interactive form element in the layout of the view allows me only one data source node.
The form i want to create is one in which appears some data from one employee (so I use BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA). The problem is that I also want to show the qualifications shown as result of the BAPI_QUALIFIC_GETLIST bapi. Those qualifications should correspond to the employee.
I have one solution in my mind. That one is: I could create a node containing the structure with all the elements I need from the two bapis. Then I could copy there the results from the context nodes that are mapped to the bapis.
I believe this is a common situation. Not only to my specific example but to many other forms.So, I think there should be a way to do it without programming it myself. Or perhaps a better solution than mine. My worry comes to my mind because all the facilities Web Dynpro and LifeCycle offer to create interactive forms and common web applications.

There is one and only one data sink for an interactive form and that is the data source node for you. There is no possibility that we can define a second or third datasource node for our application. Having the above statement in mind, the only way we can fulfill our requirement is to have a common parent node as the datasource node which in turn may have any number of nodes (in your case you would probabaly think of segregating the results from two BAPIs to map to two different nodes). A third node can be added tomorrow if you need so.
The solution that you have mentioned will also work equally good. In your approach you will have all the related information will be contained within one node. Fair enough.
Its a matter of how do you want to best represent your data structure.

No. By design, an iPhone will sync or manually manage iTunes content with ONE computer at a time. Any attempt to sync or manually manage such content with a second computer will result in ALL iTunes content being first erased from your phone, then replaced with the content from the second computer.

Two different cameras to one DVD.

I have just, at last, got my new iMac. I've filmed my friends gig and now want to create a DVD for them. I used two cameras - Sony HDR-HC9E for handheld and a Sony DCR-PC3E on a tripod. So, two tapes one in 4x3 and one in 16x9, problems? I am new to Macs and FCP. I have purchased FCS3.

If you want a widescreen movie you have two choices. Edit in an HD sequence, which is widescreen, and scale up your standard definition material so that it fills the frame top to bottom leaving black on the left and right. Scaling up video will soften and deteriorate the image. The other option is to edit in a DV anamorphic sequence which is widescreen. The HD material will be scaled down, but will fit the aspect ratio, and the standard definition material will fit top and bottom but be pillarboxed. In the first case the HD material will not have to be rendered while you work, and in the second case everything will have to be rendered while you work. There are no good choices.
