Using 3rd party WEB redirect for Guest authentication

I'm currently using (Internal) WEBAuth on the WLC for my guest WLAN but my management would like a simlper method. Some external WEB page that the guest user can fill out a form and enter some information such as name, location and email address and they would get a cookie or something that would provide then guest access for some period of time. Does anyone know of such a product?

I don't see how that is different from web passthrough on the WLC where the user has to type his information but doesn't need a password ...
Have you looked at the Nac Guest Server ? It's an appliance especially made for that purpose.
The upcoming ISE has also some cool unified guest features.

How to use 3rd party jar files for xml transform

Hi all,
Am using OAS9.0.4 and I deployed my .ear successfully.
In my application am using 4 jar files for xml transformation. (xerces.jar, xalan.jar, xml-apis.jar,xercesImpl.jar)
OAS has its own xmlparserv2.jar file. Its using this jar file for transforming xml data and not even looking for above mentioned 4 jar files.
In opmn.xml, I provided these 4 jar files in to class path. Then also it didn't effect my output.
I also tried as put these 4 jar files into j2ee\home\applib directory, but o result.
Can anybody tell me where should I keep these 4 jar files in OAS and OAS should use these 4 jar files instead of its own xmlparserv2.jar for transforming data.

Add the Xbootclasspath variable in the java-options field. It will somewhat look like the following in your opmn.xml file

Ensure to use th ^/a (append) signature

Using external radius with ise for guest authentication

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to migrate from NAC Guest Server to Cisco ISE Guest CWA on wireless, and can't figure out whether what i am trying is just unsupported or i just can't find out how to do this ?
I am attempting to authenticate my existing guest users, using a radius lookup towards my existing NAC Guest server, which has many hundred guest users with long account duration, which i really don't want to recreate on ISE, and send new passwords to all those users. Problem is i can't export the user list from NAC guest server with the password intact, and ISE can't import guest users with a set password.
Any ideas ?

Setting up ISE as radius proxy server will work because NAC guest user does not support exporting user information with passwords
Step 1 Choose Administration > Network Resources > External RADIUS Servers.
The External RADIUS Servers page appears.
Step 2 Click Filter > Advanced Filter to perform your search. The Filter page appears.
Step 3 You must define whether the search should match any or all of the rules that you define on this page.
Step 4 Enter your search criteria based on the name or description of the RADIUS server, choose an operator, and enter the value.
Step 5 You can do the following:
•To add a filter condition, click the plus sign (+).
•To remove a filter condition, click the minus sign (-).
•To clear all filter conditions, click Clear Filter.
Step 6 Click Go to perform your search.
You can also save the filter criteria so that it can be used again. Click the Save icon to save the filter condition.

3rd Party Web Service Integration

I am a complete beginner with SAP Process Integration. I could do with a simple 'To Do' List on what I should do and in what order to do it so that I can 'talk' to external 3rd party web service. In a nutshell, I will be using 3rd party web service to create document for eventual printing, so I will need to populate XML with various database fields. I have been provided with the WSDL files for the web service.
Appreciate any help, o matter how small.

The WebBrowser displays HTML content in applications running in a Silverlight 4 or later out-of-browser applications or in Silverlight 5 in-browser trusted applications only.

PKI setup using 3rd party certificates

I want to configure SCCM in our environment using are existing certificate creation infrastructure. I do not want to use Microsoft Certificate services. Instead I'd rather use our OpenSSL solution. However I cannot find good documentation to work with using
3rd party certificates. Everything is related around Microsoft's certificate services.
Has anyone had any luck implementing SCCM in this manor? Documentation available to aid?

So we are planning to setup https across the board and going through the blogs and TechNet article - I see that internal PKI is a requirement and you just cannot do away with 3rd party/external certificate, correct ??

I have the following problem. I am using Oracle Application Server 10g (version 10.1.2.0.2).
I have deployed a J2EE web service to this App Server and from within this service I call a 3rd party Web Service (.NET) to a remote system. It works fine.
However when the remote server for some reason restarts my web service noway can find the remote web service. I get a connection timeout exception to my logs.
With a standalone client that I have to the same machine where the Oracle Application Server is installed I can call directly the 3rd party web service with no problems at any time so I am sure that there is no connection problem.
If I restart the Oracle Application server then the J2EE web service finds the remote web service again.
This means that whenever the remote server falls and recovers I will need to restart my Oracle Application Server as well, to let my web service find the remote web service. Crazy isn't it?
Does anyone knows what happens??

All depends on the service. You can not just access a service. You need things like if the data is JSONP or if they have instructions or keys etc. You need to just follow the instructions the service will offer on how to connect to it.

Apple Web apps versus 3rd party Web apps

There would appear to be some confusion regarding the use of Web apps on the iPhone; specifically, whether the iPhone warranty is voided if a Web app not currently offered on the Apple site at: http://www.apple.com/webapps/, is used on the iPhone. The issue came to light when a poster suggested using the iPhone Pixel Fix Web app (http://www.ebaspace.com/iphone-app/#_home), intended to resolve issues with stuck or dead pixels on the screen.
My understanding is that the use of any Web app that is not Apple approved automatically voids the iPhone warranty, no matter how innocuous it may seem or be. However, it may be that some users consider 3rd party Web apps, such as iPhone Pixel Fix, to be "allowed", as they run on locked/legal iPhones, and are not downloaded onto the phone.
As usual, I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong. May I have your thoughts, advice etc.?

Web apps were available even before Apple posted the web apps directory. The information about each web app in the web apps directory is supplied by the submitter which is usually the author. Being included in the web apps directory does not indicate endorsement, recommendation, etc on the part of Apple, it is a directory of available web apps.
No web app should be able to void your warranty, regardless of the site it is posted to, unless it were to exploit a known or unknown security hole. For example, there was a web app that would exploit a security hole to "jailbreak" the iPhone. That was fixed in a previous update to the iPhone.
The Pixel fix web app cycles the colors on the iPhone screen several times using Javascript. It does not install anything on the screen. Essentially it tries to do the opposite of screen burn in. Whether or not it will work, I do not know.
However, using a web-based application that does not overwrite system files or modify the file system, does not void your warranty.
Installing third-party native applications or files that require you to crack the iPhone file system could potentially cause damage to the iPhone's firmware, and would void your warranty.

OK, thanks to Peter Hanusiak, and Oracle Consulting consultant in Slovakia, I have resolved my issue and I'm hoping that the same solution may apply for you. See below for the instructions from Peter that helped me out. Note that since our applications are different, the specific libraries and locations that you need to confirm compatibility for may be different.

I had similar problem. And in my case it was caused by different ADF from JDev and SOA Suite and SOA order booking demo.
Because I can't test it now, I'll tell just what I remember.
In SOADEMO is somewhere folder SOADEMO-CLIENT\UserInterface\public_html\WEB-INF\lib
where you can find
adf-faces-impl.jar
jsf-impl.jar
Try to find exactly the same libs in Jdev and copy&paste from Jdev to SOADEMO folder. then find the libs in SOASuite, and copy&paste from Jdev to SOA Suite those libs. Restart SOA Suite. Deploy Soademo-Client. And hopefully it will work.

Consuming 3rd party web service in Java web dynpro application

I am working on a scenario where external(3rd party) web service has to be consumed in WD Java application. I am provided with WSDL file. Let me explain how I usually consume other webservices:
     Create model->AWS model->Remote Location/file System->provide url->create/choose service group->finish
     Then I would generate the code in custom controller by applying template
      I assign provider system as local for the service group in nwa.
This is normal process to me. I am struck with this 3rd party web service. Please share your ideas on the same. Any help is highly appreciated.

I ve created a provider system pointing to where 3rd party WS resides. i am trying to connect through WSIL. While pinging that provider system, I don't see that particular WS(that I am gonna consume). And while assigning this Provider system to service group, processing state getting 'Failed'.

Hi Satya!
Like the default SAP backend UWL connectory your 3rd-party connector should make use of a PCD System Object. This system is a mere java component with nothing more than a portalapp.xml defining all the system properties.
Create a system in the portal system landscape based on the System PAR you depoyed.
For every UWL connector you create in portal you define a system alias. This alias has to match the one of your new system object.
And now for the sad part: I didn't find any clue yet about how to access the system from a custom UWL connector. The system alias is available in the method getItems(), but no hint whatsoever how to get the system object to the alias.
I'm still investigating this, since i'm exactly at this point.

That's fair enough. A key information to make sure customers understand that a private PKI infrustructure is (for the purpose of deployment such as GETVPN) as secure as provided by third part party.
Private PKI is not based on self signed certificates - only the root CA might need something like it :-)
That being said, for reliability and flexability I really suggest storing CA (ser, CRL, OCSP, backup of public/private keys) files on storage external to the router.
Key takeway is that a properly managed private PKI solution for deployments like DMVPN/GETVPN others is as secure as external 3rd party services (and often time order of magnitude cheaper).
