Using a dell laptop with HDMI cord, Itunes won't play sound on sharp tv?

I'm trying to watch a movie from my Dell using ITunes, I have the laptop hooked up to my sharp tv using an HDMI cord, but there is no sound. Everything else works, including YouTube. Any suggestions?

ITunes won't play sound!

iTunes on my computer will play songs but only a few seconds and then will stop playing sound and/or stop playing altogether. If I try to listen to another song, it wont play it. The same goes for movies and tv shows. However if i close and thenreopen iTunes, then it will work but only for a few seconds and the same goes for restarting. Any useful help will be appreciated.

Be sure to install the latest all drivers of computer. If it doesn't work, try to uninstall iTunes and install the lastest one.

i heard from a friend that he is usig his imac as a "monitor" for his laptop. so i bought a DVID dual link cable and a Mini Display Port to DVI adaptor and plugged everything in. Nothing on my iMac yet. what do i need to do next? Do i need to "tell" my iMac to view my laptop docking station?

I just got migrated to a new laptop with Windows 7& iTunes won't run.

When I try to run iTunes I get an error message that my libray was created with a newer version of Itunes. I would like to remove and reinstall Itunes without losing my library.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

I have a dell laptop with itunes and air play disconnects after about 30 minutes of streaming to apple tv as remote speakers. I have to forcibly restart the device. if I use the menu option to turn and off the airplay option it still does not work. Network connection is fine since other devices do not lose connection. These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736FD, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?

1)   When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2)   I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3)   So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

You can only use apps from iTunes on iPhone devices.
If you want apps for Android devices then you'll need to download the app on the Google Play Store on your Android devices.
If you don't have the Google Play Store you could dowload if from Google.
Windows 8 also has there own App Store.

Airport express interference when my other new dell laptop with Vista

My macbook was working great with airport express. Once I bought the new dell laptop with Vista it stopped connecting to airport whenever the Dell is on. Once I switch the Dell off, my macbook immediately connects with airport. The Dell never has any prob trying to connect. I've tried to change the channel but it doesn't help as my Dell is unable to connect. My radio mode is 802.11n ( which is b/g compatible) as I can't use any other mode since my Dell won't pick up other mode. Please help .

Thank you . I do have my Real player running. I turned it off and restarted and I still have interference from the dell laptop. My MB connect AE only when the dell is off. If start it my MB looses AE. The realy player doesn't seem to make any difference.

DVI-I offered by most computers has support for up to a wider-than-1920 Digital display AND a complete set of VGA signals in it.
If you have an adapter from DVI [computer] to VGA [display] it has no conversion logic in it and should be called a VGA extractor. It will NOT work the other direction.
I think what you need is a better computer or a worser (VGA) display.

The file was corrupted somewhere along the way (assuming it was still readable on the Macintosh).
The platforms don't matter, but you still need file transfer that doesn't corrupt files...
