Using a different apple ID for apps

I have a really tricky question -
Somehow I managed to use an old Apple ID to purchase apps, but then forgot the password for that ID. The email address I used to sign up is now no longer valid. And for some reason my date of birth information is incorrect! . So there's no way of retrieving that information to reset my password. I have another valid Apple ID which works perfectly for Store purchases, but none of my Apps have been purchased using this other ID. So I have an IPad and cannot update any Apps at all. I do also have a MacBook and IPhone 4 too - can they be used to overrride the IPad?
my question is, how can I change or remove the old Apple ID from my iPad and instead get the new one to be used as the default option? I've tried all the usual routes via Iforgot etc, - that doesn't work as it keeps asking for date of birth or offers to send a reset password link to an email address which no longer exists.....no one at the store can help either.
Apple only offer to shut my ITunes account. Not an option. There must be a way around this! really grateful for any advice.

I originally bypassed setting up iCloud and everything worked fine until I upgraded to the 8.0.2 OS. Suddenly, I was being asked for a password to an Apple ID that I don't remember setting up. I am pretty sure that I set up an iCloud account with this ID but have forgotten the password. Also, whenever I go through the process of trying to change the password my birth date is not recognized which means according to this ID I don't exist. The Apple ID I set up for the new phone works for the Apple Store and I am able to download upgrades and apps. However, whenever I reboot my phone I am prompted for the password I don't recognize to sign into iCloud. Then, when I hit cancel a message appears saying that "photos for the iCloud account "iCloud" cannot be accessed. Review your account information in Settings." When I press on Settings I receive the prompt again for the password. The ID I don't recognize is an @iCloud.com which suggests I must have tried to set up an iCloud account with a different ID and have forgotten the password.

Sorry, let me clarify. I have two Apple IDs A and B:
A: Used for iCloud. All my calendar, mail, contacts, and other iCloud features are here. This is the ID I use as "the" iCloud on my iOS devices and OS X machines.
B: Used only for purchases, on all my devices and machines. This is what I used to log into iTunes, or to buy apps for iOS or OS X.
The issue is that the only way (currently) to set up Family Sharing is to invite from an iCloud ID (A, in my case) on an iOS 8 device. That's not the ID (B) I use for purchases. The question is whether there's a way to share those purchases given that I'm configured on all my devices with A for iCloud. (Clearly if I somehow send invitations from B, I can share purchases; but that's not the question.)
It sounds like the answer to that question is 'No'.
If that's the case, how do I invite from B? Do I have to configure an iOS device with B as the iCloud ID? My problem isn't that I want to ("willy nilly") avoid inviting form B; it's that there seems to be no way (certainly no convenient way) to do that.

Create a new Apple ID for the second phone. If you are setting the phones up as new phone enter the ID you want to use on each phone.
If both phones are already signed in to one Apple ID then use the settings app to change Apple IDs on one phone.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID > sign out > sign in with alternate Apple ID.
Note that if you have downloaded apps with the original Apple ID on the phone with the new Apple ID, those apps will still be associated with the old Apple ID and will require the old ID and password in order to update them.

Do you mean can you use one Apple ID for FaceTime and one for iMessage? You should be able to. Or, do you mean, can you log into iMessage (or FaceTime) with two Apple IDs at once? No.

Use a separate Apple ID for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime. Use the same (yours) for iTunes and App Stores.

I wonder if it is possible to use 1 Computer (Macbook Pro)
- configured with 2 (ore even more) user accounts (i.e. me + my kid)
- and each user account has a different Apple-ID (account) for iTunes purchases & iTunes authorization ?
I woud think that is fine in terms of the underlying license agreement refereing to re-download purchased movies, shows, apps, etc.
However, it seams that there is that miraculous 90 days restriction, which I don't understand, and which allows me only to "authorise" the Computer under one or the other account. The switch is unfortunatelly only possible every 90 days ?!?

The 90 day association doesn't stop you authorising an account, it only stops you from using another account for iTunes Match or automatic downloads or redownloading its past purchases : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

I have an established iTunes account that I used to download music, and purchase apps. My question is this: I recently purchased MobileMe. So I now want to use my MobileMe account with iTunes. But what will happen to my current songs, apps, etc, that I have used under my older iTunes account? Do I simply just logout from the older account and then login using the new MobileMe ID? Do I have to delete my apps from my iPhone? I know its kinda general. But any ideas would help. Thanks.

I would like to use one Apple ID to sync all of my contacts and calendars, but I need to place the Find My iPhone functionality in a different Apple ID account. Is this possible? Ideally Find My iPhone would be the ONLY feature used by that account, not app sharing, store purchases or anything else.
