Using a different computer to the one for set-up

With iPhone coming to Orange, I think I'm now going to get one.
I have a MacBook, but the motherboard failed and it is currently in for repair. It wouldn't be back by the time I get the iPhone. I also have a Dell PC with iTunes.
When my Mac comes back, I will be using it as my primary computer and would manage my iPhone through it. I actually want to get rid of the PC eventually. If I activate the iPhone on the PC when I first get it, will this cause me problems when I want to switch to using my Mac?

You won't have problems if you transfer your purchases and back up your phone manually on the mac before you start to sync with it. Transferring your purchases will copy your bought items from the itunes store to your mac, after your media data got erased from the phone, you can restore it from the manual backup you did. Make sure to have autosync disabled in itunes. About backups: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 and back up and restoring: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your mac to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync for the first time.

Could it be that you had more instruments on the old computer? Or haven't correctly installed the instruments on the new one?
Obviously, GB hasn't assigned a drum instrument to the track that the drum notes are on (my guess: since it doesn't have the desired drum set.) Press cmd-I to make the track info pane visible and pick one of the drum sets for that track.

How tocopy a CD from a different computer than the one I am synced to

My daughter got a Beyonce CD for Xmas. Her iPhone has its "synced" library on an iMac27 which do not come with a CD drive anymore.
So we go to our MBP and load the CD into iTunes there. Then connect her iPhone so we can transfer the CD onto it. But everytime time I try to do that I get the dreaded "You can only be synced to one iTUnes library - Do you want to erase your iPhone and sync to this machine" or something to do effect.
Well I don't want to sync to this computer. I just want to copy a CD onto her iPhone.
Why does iTunes insist on making the simplest little things so maddeningly complicated. All I want is a simple copy.
I have her iPhone set to Manually Manage Music and video on the iMac27 but when iTunes on the MBP says that it is set to Automatically Sync and when I try to change it to Manually Manage it says that it will erase all the contents of the iPhone.
This is sooooooooo irritating.

Now that the CD is ripped on your computer, copy the song files from your computer to a flash drive. Take the flash drive to her iMac, where you can add the files to her iTunes library.
Then, she can sync her phone to her own library, which will now include the new Beyoncé tracks.

You are allowed two installations of Photoshop. On your old computer you want to deactivate PS by opeing PS and selecting "deactivate" from the help menu. Then just install PS on your new computer.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use this to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup (not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add a new account by tapping the "create Apple ID" button. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
