Using a different language in individual apps

Here's what I want to do and you used to be able to select the language in previous versions of OS X. I want to run iTunes, iCal, and a few others in Japanese while I keep the main system in English. Before you could do cmd-I on the icon to bring up the info. In the info screen you could deselect all languages you didn't want to keep the one you did want. In Snow Leopard this part of the info screen is gone.
Don't tell me to go to the international pane because that changes everything system wide. I'm not wanting a system wide change, just individual apps. Is there a way to do it in Snow Leopard, or does anyone know of the app's name that was designed to do this? I've seen it before and now can't remember its name. I would like this to be a permanent change and not something I have to do every time I start my computer.

Using a different apple ID for apps

I have a really tricky question -
Somehow I managed to use an old Apple ID to purchase apps, but then forgot the password for that ID. The email address I used to sign up is now no longer valid. And for some reason my date of birth information is incorrect! . So there's no way of retrieving that information to reset my password. I have another valid Apple ID which works perfectly for Store purchases, but none of my Apps have been purchased using this other ID. So I have an IPad and cannot update any Apps at all. I do also have a MacBook and IPhone 4 too - can they be used to overrride the IPad?
my question is, how can I change or remove the old Apple ID from my iPad and instead get the new one to be used as the default option? I've tried all the usual routes via Iforgot etc, - that doesn't work as it keeps asking for date of birth or offers to send a reset password link to an email address which no longer exists.....no one at the store can help either.
Apple only offer to shut my ITunes account. Not an option. There must be a way around this! really grateful for any advice.

I am having a similar problem. I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 5S. I set up my new phone with a different Apple ID than the one I used on the old phone. I originally bypassed setting up iCloud and everything worked fine until I upgraded to the 8.0.2 OS. Suddenly, I was being asked for a password to an Apple ID that I don't remember setting up. I am pretty sure that I set up an iCloud account with this ID but have forgotten the password. Also, whenever I go through the process of trying to change the password my birth date is not recognized which means according to this ID I don't exist. The Apple ID I set up for the new phone works for the Apple Store and I am able to download upgrades and apps. However, whenever I reboot my phone I am prompted for the password I don't recognize to sign into iCloud. Then, when I hit cancel a message appears saying that "photos for the iCloud account "iCloud" cannot be accessed. Review your account information in Settings." When I press on Settings I receive the prompt again for the password. The ID I don't recognize is an @iCloud.com which suggests I must have tried to set up an iCloud account with a different ID and have forgotten the password.

Use different language and Spell check

Hello, just got an iPad to supplement my two Android phones, and like it so far...
Except for one thing that drives me nuts...
The spell check. I live in Scandinavia, but like to use English as my interface language. This causes major problems, when I write something in Danish.
Is there any way to have English as the interface language, but use another language for spell checking?
Also, is there a way to use two different languages in spellcheck? Its really annoying to have English words pop up as suggestions when I write something in a different language and vice versa...

From a user perspective this is wrong UX and lacks total support for multi-national companies, especially when the (national) keyboard layout differs from the (foreign) keyboard layout that is being forced to use if one wants the spell check to be performed in the foreign languge.
Let's take the following example. My language settings are set to English because I want my interface in English. The used keyboard layout is Flemish (=Dutch) (AZERTY). When writing emails the spell check is performed in Dutch since iOS uses the keyboard related language. This is fine as long as I write emails to people in Belgium which do read and speak Dutch. However when I want to write English emails (and hence would like English spell check) I am forced to switch my keyboard to English (UK). This is not really OK as switching the keyboard messes up the layout I am used to work with (English -> QWERTY).
Essentially, the selected keyboard (and keyboard layout for that matter) shouldn't have any impact on the used language for the spelling check. To be honest I can't remember of any application/OS used so far that applies this logic.
I really do hope that this gets fixed in some way (e.g. by adding the option to select the spelling check language) in a future update of iOS.

Hi. I want to write application which can be used in different languages.Currently my application uses English as its default Langauge.
I want to give the user a option to change the language.
I think it can be done using a resource file. But I am not sure where to exactly start. Could some one give me any Ideas how it is done. Guide me please. Or give me a link to any tutorial or something.

you would need to put string constants in a file ending with .properties. From out of your application you replace all string constants with calls to a ResourceBundle class you'd have to instantiate for the .properties file.
ResourceBundles use a certain namin convention combining an arbitrary name with a locale such as _de for a german system for instance.

Can I sync apps to my ipad using two different computers + itunes

Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of a problem. I have two computers (windows laptop + windows pc) which I use both for buying apps (my ipad isn't always connected to our internet), recently I bought an app on my pc and then when syncing it asked for me to 'Erase and sync'. So I did this and the app installed fine, but all my other apps were reset.
Is it possible to use two different computers to buy apps and sync with my ipad without having to erase and sync?

Description not displayed when loged in with different language

We have created some queries Loging in english language . When we use a different language for logon say Portugese 'PT' the discription of the query is not dispalyed instead the technical name is displayed. This issue is same for all objects ( Infoproviders , Infoobjects etc .) .Is there any setting that should be maintained so that the object's description created in one language can be seen by login in with a different language .

yes I also working fro dutch clients
and they have develped everything in Dutch language
so whn I log on in En language I don't see desccription in English.
there is no setting by which u can see description of custom object. but for standard object we are able ti see description in English language

XI: Call same RFC with different language codes?

Hello all!
I have a unique situation where I need to use XI call an RFC twice, but each call will use a different language code.
I've created 2 receiver determinations and interface determinations. I've also created 2 communication channels, one for each language code, but the problem is that I cannot create a second receiver agreement to point to the second communication channel.
Anybody know how I can accomplish this?

I would like to sugget you to use only one channel and create an extra parameter for the language on your function module. Then, you can specify the language everytime you need to call it.

Two Accounts, Two Different Languages

I've created, as administrator, an account for my father. He uses a different language from mine. The finder shows the language I chose for him, however applications such as Safari are displayed in the original language I use as administrator. How can I fix this?

Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.

Can it be faked? - YES for small videos as iDVD is limiting in TIME not Gbs
So for as Single Layer DVD the limit is about 120 minutes (Pro-Quality Encoding and High Quality Encoding) and by keeping Menu as simple possibly this will be close to 118 minutes.
For a four language version then the max time per movie will be about 19 min 30 sec.
So the fake is made by making four individual movies one in each language and add all four to the DVD project.
