hi is it possible to use a mouse via the USB add on connection or Bluetooth on my apple iPod 2, and if so would this have to be an apple mouse.

It's a totally different concept. The interface between your iPad and you is much more intimate than through a mouse, so there's considered no reason to add that operability. There is no traditional cursor, for example, on Ipad to be controlled by a mouse..

There actually is a type of "pointer" native to iOS. it's part of the AssistiveTouch feature, used to replicate multitouch gestures with one finger. You just can't control it with a mouse.
Anyway, as far as I can discern the iPad does not use nanotechnology in any part of its construction.

How can I disable the mouse pad? I prefer to use a mouse.

The pad is particularly a nuisance when I try to type, perhps I catch it with my wrists, I don't know. I'd rather use a mouse.

The 'quick and dirty' way would be to cover the trackpad with something thick enough not to pickup 'taps' or 'gestures'. A business card cut to fit tightly should be thick enough, but I use a three thicknesses of index card glued together and cut to fit tightly into the trackpad opening ''(one corner cut off so I can remove it when I do need to use the trackpad)''. I did that back in 2008 with an Acer laptop and do it now with my Asus EeePC 900 netbook; if I don't have the mouse with me ''(or the battery is dead - wireless USB mouse)'' I just remove the cardboard "plug" so I can use the trackpad.
Beyond that, check with a Windows 7 support forum to see how to disable that "device". That really isn't a Firefox support issue.

Hand writing using Magic mouse

Can I use magic mouse for hand writing on my iMac as Snow Leapard can use touch pad to do so on my notebook.

I'm not aware of any software that allows you to do this. Yet.

Starting a couple of days ago my mouse and keyboard stopped working suddenly.
How are they connected? In my case they are wireless and their receiver is plugged into my USB hub. After an update I found the OS inexplicably not recognizing my USB hub and hence any devices which were plugged into it. My fix was to
plug the receiver into a different USB port (so I could use the mouse and keyboard; otherwise I would have had to use the OSK via Touch or pen.) Once I had normal access into my machine again I used Device Manager to remove all USB controller and
hubs (including hidden ones) and I then shut down, disconnected all USB devices and powered back up, this time using only Touch to get going. Once the OS had settled down I started plugging stuff back in the way that I wanted it to be recognized.
If I didn't have Touch I would have had to have left the wireless receiver plugged in both places which I assume would be OK. I have no idea why updates have such a catastrophic effect for USB devices.

I do presentations in PP10. I am new to macair, and used to Windows. HOW DO I DISABLE THE "OPEN DIALOG BOX ON RIGHT CLICK"? I would like to use L mouse to advance slide, and R mouse to go back. The default is to use R mouse to open dialog box. I can disable this by unchecking the box in "advanced" on the PC. How do I do it with the Mac????

Hi Rod,
As originally stated in my opening post, the SWF is to be inserted into an Articulate '13 slide (what I called an aggregator originally - I tried not to bring them up since I don't want the chatter about "There's your problem - using Articulate"! ).
Recall that posting this published file to our LMS did not allow right-mouse click functionality as the flash player menu just gets in the way.
If I insert the captivate 6 files into Articulate as a Web Object (referencing the entire folder with html, htm and assets, and then posted to our LMS, and it DOES allow RM click operations in both IE and FF (although no sound on the Captivate slide in FF). But this is not what we want to do as this introduces 2 navigation controls (the Captivate one and the Articulate Player).
Why must anything be posted to a web server for this functionality to work?
I am able to go into the Captivate 6's published folder, and launch the Captivate demonstration by simply double clicking on the index.html file and this works great in both FF and IE after changing the security settings for flash.
Again - I can not believe I am the only one out there trying to use the right-mouse click feature to do a software simulation by embedding the Captivate SWF into an Articulate '13 project.

Unfortunately not. Lion has made many adjustments to the previous system. Try opening your pdfs in keynote.

How can I navigate through tabs without using the mouse?

I want to know how to navigate through tabs without using a mouse... just like you can navigate through multiple windows by using <alt><tab> ... because it's extremely annoying when I'm working on something to have to take my hands off the keyboard and go to the mouse.

You can also use Ctrl + Page Up and Ctrl + Page Down to go to the next and previous tab. I prefer those because it doesn't require the Shift key (Shift + Ctrl+ Tab) to go to the previous tab.

Why is it so hard to use a mouse in Muse CC 2014?

Last spring I downloaded the older version of Muse and had little to no problems with it. But the new version seems to have a lot of bugs, that are not being fixed in the updates. The first time I came across the issue of not being able to use a mouse in Muse 2014 was when trying to get tot he MetaData and Options fields in Page Properties. Neither of these tabs are clickable, nor can I open by tabbing to them and hitting enter. What is even worse though is that if for some reason I want to exit the program and have forgotten to save my work, you can't click on any of the buttons to tell it what you want to do. Luckily tab and enter DO work here, but I shouldn't have this issue. I'm sure there are other features with the program that have this problem, but these are the first two I've come across. Again, the old version (which thank goddess I didn't delete) does NOT have these issues, but I want to try the new one with the new features!
I use Muse CC on a Windows 7 machine. Please fix this bug!

I have exactly the same problem in win7. Trial version worked perfectly but a soon as I started CC the mouse issues started.

You can import existing audio recordings by simply dragging them from the Media area, shown at the right of the Arrange window.
My question is: is there a way to do this without dragging it with a mouse? I'd like to use a shortcut to open a browse folder and select a file. The reason for this is that I am nearly blind and I can't use my mouse for dragging because I can't see it.
