Using a photoshop image as a website banner

I'm trying to use an image I created in photoshop as the banner for my website.
I have it inserted into the header section in Dreamweaver, but the size of the image is fixed regardless of the window size. I need it to adjust with the size of the header.
I am very new to this, so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

By default, images are static and don't resize to fill viewport. If however, you put your banner into the background using CSS, you can repeat the image horizontally, vertically or both.

Another trick is to surround your banner with compatible colors to make it seem bigger.

Using Transparent Photoshop images placed into Indesign CS5

Placed a transparent photoshop image with clean/beautifully sharp mask inside my Indesign design.
Added a drop shadow with Indesign and gave plenty of space with the outside frame thingy.
However when I export the PDF my round image mask shows a blunt ugly edge on my perfectly round masked circle. The photoshop image is perfectly round... How come Indesign blunts the right edge?
The image is not being clipped by the frame, I have given it plenty of space. This seems to be a CS5 issue as my coworkers who have similar file setups on their CS4 files get no circle blunting! We just got the proofs back today and is not just a quirk of the pdf rendering on our screens.

Does anyone recognize the issue that an attempt to use the Photoshop Image Processor from Bridge/Tools opens Photoshop CC 2014 but then redirects to Photoshop CC stating that CC 2014 doesn't support this.

Read you original post again and your last post and now I am confused.
You said you reset your Bridge preferences, yet in post #1 you said " I hold the control key down and click on the Bridge icon, I don't get the reset window. I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from within Photoshop, and I tried it by control-clicking on the Bridge icon from my desktop with Photoshop closed.
So with this said you have not reset the preferences unless you have gone in and deleted the file. The Bridge Icon is the one one the desktop that you click to start Bridge.
BUT, in last post you say you have a Mac. So to reset preference believe it is Cmd key.
No matter how you do it you need to get the reset window with the 3 reset options.

How to stop the Photoshop Image Processor.

I am using the Photoshop Image Processor in Bridge to shrink a large png sequence. But I started the process with the incorrect parameters. How do I stop the Processor once it has started?

If escape key does not work do not know how to undo. Hopefully you have a backup.

I have become accustomed to running some Sharpening Actions from Bridge using the Photoshop Image Processor feature. Is anything like this possible through Lightroom?

2 alternatives for you...
1. Allow Lightroom to export, and then run the sharpening on the
resulting files. There's a quick tutorial here
http://www.photoshopservices.co.uk/lightroom/droplets.htm. Whilst you
could export to psd and then let your droplet convert to jpeg after
sharpening, that will take a lot more processing power than going
straight to jpeg, and it's probably not worth it in a real world
environment. Saving as top quality jpeg twice is not going to kill your
file. (Test it!)
2. Alternatively, do all your colour correction in LR, save the changes
to XMP sidecar files, and then find them in Bridge with either CS2/ACR
3.7 or CS3/ACR4 and run Image Processor as you usually would. This
would just open and save each file once, as it does in your current
workflow.

How do I slice an image for a web banner and upload it to my website?

Hi there! I am trying to slice an image into a web banner to upload it as the headed to my website layout. I have previously done this before, but a few months ago my computer crashed and I lost everything. I have a new computer now (Macbook Pro running 10.9.3) and downloaded a free trial of CS6. I vaguely remember what I am doing but am apparently way out of practice.
I have tried at least a dozen different times to slice the banner and add the links, but for one, it keeps showing up with gaps in the image when I try and preview it on my computer. I cannot figure out why. Secondly, when I try to save it for the web as HTML and images, it is not working. It keeps saying something about needing to replace targets, etc. I am honestly lost and when I had originally made my website two years ago I don't remember it being nearly this difficult. I have some moderate HTML/CSS web design skills but I'm not sure if I am having a brainfart or what.
Secondly, I cannot get the files to upload properly to my web server. I use FatCow as my host if this makes any difference. I've been watching tutorials on Youtube and trying to refresh my memory but I am so lost.

Can you save images via Tools > Page Info > Media ?
The usual way to save an image is via the right-click context menu > Save Image as.<br />

How can I increase the thumbnail size when using Safari to upload an image to a website?

I upload many images to multiple websites and when using Safari to upload these images, the thumbnails are so small I can barely make out what the image is. I can easily figure out how to increase the thumbnail size when viewing them in Finder and set the default to my liking, but I cannot seem to find a way to do this in Safari. The last topic I saw on this was form 2013 and have not seen any update. Is there a way to do this?

Delete all unused, invisible layers.
Sometimes zip compression is better than jpg compression (in the pdf output settings). Zip is lossless, and works better with non gradient colour or no images.
Flattening the image before you save it to pdf can reduce the file size if you are using jpg compression.
Post a preview of your pdf and we can comment further on how to reduce the file size.

Help! I am trying to use the scripts image processor in Photoshop CC.

Help! I am trying to use the scripts>image processor in Photoshop CC. When I click on it it comes up with an error saying that it cannot find the Javascript Plug In. I have the newest version of Java installed. How do I get it to work in Photoshop. Do I have to download a separate plug in? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Java is not Javascript.
Do you have a Mac or PC?
If PC, do you have this file on your system?

If not, you've got a corrupted installation of Photoshop. Uninstalling and reinstalling may help.

Used Photoshop Image processor to batch convert from CR2 to Jpeg and the edits don't stick

Ok, so I had a huge wedding where the bride paid me to deliver a ton of images. Well, i did all my edits in ACR and then photoshop. While in photoshop all the edits look to have been applied. So, I use edit > Scripts>Image processor to convert the CR2 files to Jpeg in one fell Swoop. Well, on my last run though (checking any images for missed edits or what not), none of of the edits were applied to the saved jpegs. So I bring one up in Photoshop (the saved Jpeg) and the edits are applied in Photoshop. So I click save and it tries to save as a PSD file (which it was not originally saved as). I click to JPEG and it asks to replace the existing file and I do. Voila, all the edits are a-pplied. Now, I have about 200 images that I need to do this on.
Is this common with the image processor? Is it not for converting processed Raw files to JPEG and keep the edits?
I'm very frustrated since now, depending on my misunderstand of the tool, I have to spend extra time saving the files again. (At least I don't have to re-edit them)

I have action I wrote so that on large groups of pictures I hit my actions. It goes through the whole set. Then I hit my flatten and it goes through the whole set. Then I go to scripts > image processor and covert them to jpeg.
The weird thing is when I bring up the jpegs in photoshop, all the edits are there. When I look through Photo Mechanic or upload them to the web, they aren't

I installed Dr. Brown Image Processor Pro.
I have Bridge and PS (CS6, CC and CC 2014) x64.
Had to do a manual install to each folder.
In Bridge I get the error
ReferenceError: photoshop is undefined? Trying to use Dr. Brown Image Processor Pro.
I tried both the CC and CS6 bridge same result.
I have about 100 1GB plus files I want to size down. and need Image processor.
Any Advice?
I tried Dr. Brown's JUST FIX IT, bit it just brought me to the script editor. I'm not a programmer.

Adding dynamic images to your website using Dreamweaver

I've been working on a website which has been in use by public for some months now.
I recently wanted to add a simple product catelogue. I can do this just by creating my database connection and using the recordsets.
However I wanted to add an image thumbnail to each product record.
I found the above topic in the Adobe Help 'Adding dynamic images to your website using Dreamweaver'
What I really would like to know is what exactly is put in the image_location field of the table, how is this field populated and then how to view the picture.
I have tried, as per instructions, but the picture is not showing.
I use php as I dont know coldfusion, but I'm sure the process must be pretty similar.
If anyone can shed some light then that would be really appreciated.

As most anyone else will say, so I will say; *please don't
start it
automatically!*
Playing music on a site is fine, but making it play
automatically when you
go to the site will alienate lots of people; especially those
having a quick
web surf at work or who have other music on whilst they're
working.
But back to your question; have a look at the XSPF music
player

It comes in different visual versions
(can modify it with a bit of Flash knowledge), allows you to
select
different songs or just leave it looping, or you can just
loop one song. And
yes, you can make it start automatically.
