Using a recorded meeting as content for another meeting - how?

I'm trying to set up a webinar where we play a recorded meeting.  We don't want people to access the meeting whenever they want, we want everyone to view it at the same time.  The manual/help documents say:
"Also, a recorded meeting can be used as content for another meeting."
But I can't any information on how to DO this.
Can anyone help?

That is truly a poorly placed sentance with no explanation. To achieve this, you will need to make an offline version of the recording, so you have an FLV version that can be played in the meeting room. If you want people who do not have access to an Adobe Connect server to view a meeting recording, create an offline version. The offline recording is saved as an FLV file, which can be viewed in an FLV player, and distributed via e-mail, CD, or a server.
Note:  Creating an offline recording takes approximately the same amount of time as the duration of the original meeting recording. 
You can minimize the offline recording window or view other windows on top of it without interfering with the contents of your recording.
From the Adobe Connect Central home page, click Meetings or Training, and then click the meeting or classroom that includes the recording.
Click Recordings.
Next to the specific recording you want to use, click Make Offline.
If Help text appears, click Proceed with Offline Recording. Then specify a location for the finished FLV file.  The meeting begins playing, creating the offline file. 
As needed, click the Pause/Resume, Stop And Save, and Start New controls:
The Pause/Resume button temporarily stops creation of the offline recording. This can be useful if you must download a large file and do not want to strain system resources. When you click Resume, the recording continues from where it was paused. The finished recording is one continuous file regardless of how many times you paused and resumed recording.
The Stop and Save button ends the creation of a recording, which is useful if you want to record portions of a meeting as separate files. Click Start New to resume recording where you left off.
When the recording process finishes, close the offline recorder window. (If the window is minimized, it closes automatically.)
Have the recording open on a moinitor with high resolution and full screen (before minimizing to the sytem tray), so as to get the best quality recording.

    Before someone points out that we cannot discuss of even act like converting a DVD is possible because it is allegedly illegal, you are not asking that. You, by magic we assume, can do this. You are asking whether you will lose what is on her iPod.
    I am not sure you can sync her iPod from your system but if you did you'd want to set it to only sync what you checked and then only check that one movie.
    I wonder... is there a reason yo cannot just move the converted file from your computer to hers and let her import it?

    No, it is a Verizon-only device.  And, most likely, the other company wouldn't allow it as it would be incompatible with their services.

  • Building package using makepkg does not resolve dependency for another

    I am trying to install yaourt from the AUR. Yaourt required that package-query be installed, and this package further required another, etc.
    In short, package-query required yajl, which I downloaded from the AUR. This package does not actually have a PKGBUILD, but rather un-tars into a file that you need to merge with /usr. After doing so I tried to make the package-query package but was still met with a dependency discrepancy. Luckily, yajl was available in the official repositories (same version). After using pacman to install it everything went fine and package-query built and installed fine.
    When I went to build yaourt, using makepkg, it failed and informed that I was missing a dependency, package-query.
    So, in short, is there a registry or something that keeps track of these installed packages? I imagine that when running makepkg there is a query against installed packages to see if you meet the dependency requirements. What can I do to build yaourt in this situation?

    cower doesn't have any dependencies that are not in the official repositories.  It doesn't build packages automatically, but it will download the source tarballs and unpack them for you.  It can also handle dependencies with the official repos and the AUR. 
    So for example, if you were to do cower -dd yaourt it would tell you that gettext, diffutils, and pacman are in the official repos.  Then it would download the source tarball for package-query and resolve all of its dependencies.  And it would download the yauort source tarball and unpack that for you.  So it gives you an idea of what depends on what and in which order you should build and install.
    But you really just shouldn't use yaourt.  Many of the upgrade issues that arise on these forums stem from people using yaourt (particularly those who blindly run yaourt -Syua).  The pacaur I mentioned above is a bash script that wraps cower.  So it too should be able to be built and installed without having to resolve other AUR dependencies.
    Edit:
    But none of this is really answering the question though. When I make a package from the AUR, the dependency requirement when trying to install another package is never met. That is, if package A requires B and I then installed B (from the AUR), when I try to make A again it still informs me that B was never installed.
    If this is the case, then you really don't know how to properly use the AUR, and thus should be reading up on that rather than trying to work around it with an AUR helper.

    Our R/3 systems are 4.7 with 6.20 WAS. So to use a the webgui I need to have an ITS (for which I dont have a server available).
    We have a Netweaver 2004s based Solution Manger though with an integrated ITS. Do you know if it is at all possible to use the integrated ITS of the Netweaver system as an ITS for the 6.20 based system?
    If yes, how do I set it up?

  • Using the Template of one site for another site.

    Hi,
    I have created and published Site A using a template (DW CS4).  I now wish to create Site B and use the same template from the Site A.
    The only thing which will change is the banner which I create in Photoshop for each site.
    I also wish to use the navigation buttons which were part of Site A's template. Can this be done?
    One note: all the files from Site A have been copied into Site B.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Using one thinkpad as a screen for another

    Hello fellow thinkpadders, 
    I have an X1 Carbon and an X230, and I'm wondering if I can connect them in such a way that I can use one as the keyboard and the other as the screen. In other words, I'd like to have one at desk level and the other raised up about a foot and a half -- so that I can sit straight at a desk and not have to bend my neck forward (looking down) at the one I'm typing on. 
    Usually, I work with the X1C using a large screen at my desk and this isn't an issue. I also have the Lenovo ThinkVision LT 1421 14" portable screen (which is awesome) -- but it's only 200 nits, and on some occasions, working at my local library (where the light is quite bright), I've wondered whether I can simply bring along both computers, and prop one up (at a higher level) to use as a portable screen. 
    I know this sounds a bit crazy, but I'm quite tall, and the neck paid I feel using these things at a normal desk level renders them unusuable without an external screen.

    Perhaps a program like Input Director, Mouse without Borders, Multiplicity, ShareMouse or Synergy will do what you are looking for? 
    Failing that, you could always connect a Lenovo ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint to the system for use as an input device.

  • Using iWeb to create a site for another .Mac family pack user

    I started a new site in iWeb for our son today, but I can't see how to upload it so it resides in his part of the family account we have on .mac.
    Is this possible?
    If not, if I publish his pages how does it interact with our main family site that is currently uploaded.

    But with two sites in iWeb now, what will end up on my son's part of the site when I hit publish? Should I try to keep changes to just one site or the other and do the user ID switch, or will it try to post all the pages to each account?

    I'm creating a book from an album in iPhoto.  I have downloaded the latest version of iPhoto.  When I choose a book, i.e. wirebound, 19-20 page book, it shows a 42 page book when I am populating the pictures in the book I've selected.  Is that because I have more pictures in the album? 
    In any case, I can't seem to manipulate/choose the number of pages I want.  How can I stick with the 20 page book I want?

    You can not select the "number of pages" - you select the photos and the page layours and the number of pages comes form that - with Autoflow iPhoto uses random page layouts so the number of pages is rando=m
    You can change layouts to include more photos, move photos to the pages with no empty photos frames and then delete the pages at the end after the photos are used elsewhere

    Strangely, the control record is blank. I looked at the XSLT program, it is coded that way. I do not understand the reason. Is the error pointing to the control record?

    I have a view criteria and using it i have a af:query component in my page. When i run the page i see the fields in the search box correctly. However i see another LOV in the search which has options like "Equals","Between", "Does not contain" etc. Though this option is good for 1 search criteria, it is not of any use for another.     you would need to add the following to the view criteria item in the view criteria definition for the VO - in order NOT to show any of the operators.

    The normal situation would be wanting to convert .m4a (AAC or Apple Lossless) to .mp3 as these are both music file formats. The extension .mp4 is normally for a video file and iTunes itself will only convert music files from one format to another.
