Using a second computer when the first takes a dive

I need serious help....simply put: My original computer died on me and I cant seem to get any of my info from itunes or download my library off my nano....any ideas??? I know someone has had to have been through this before.

Use something like iPodRip For Winderz (I'm assuming you're using winderz)
Or try putting it in Disk Mode or Manual Update and working from there. But be very careful. You could lose a lot of music in the blink of an eye. You should ALWAYS back it up somewhere

Is iTunes Match still turned on on your iPhone? If not, you need to turn it back on.
If it is still on, go to settings, music app and turn off match- sign out of iTunes Store. Reboot iPhone, sign back into iTunes and turn on match. Poem music app. Does this help?

Playing a second swf when the first one's finished

I have 2 swf files (the FLA's too) and want one to play then
the second. - I'd add the second to the timeline of the first, but
the second is a complete site and contains many referenced
"gotoandplay" links which would all need changing. So....I really
just need a way for the second swf to play after the first one's
finished. I tried using the load external movie clip behaviour, but
couldn't make it work. Can I use the first swf as a preloader
without affecting the timeline on the main swf? I canspare a couple
of frames at the start of the second movie for that, but don't know
how to set it up - can anyone help?
I also want the custom cursor to remain only in the first
swf, and go back to default on the second.

I think you may want to create a 'master' loading swf, rather
than loading the second movie into the first, and use the
MovieClipLoader class to call and load new movies into the master
container.
Set up a new swf, that is the same size as the others. you'll
set up a function on the first frame and then use that function to
load all subsequent content into the master document. You can also
use methods of the class to add things like preloaders and other
event handlers. so for instance, at the last frame of the intro
swf, you'd add a 'call' to the function in the master telling it to
load the next movie in the sequence. I'll add the call you will
need on the bottom of the code example below.

I'm not one to solicit, however I have (awhile ago) developed
a Component that you may be interested in for your site, although
it has not been package and ready for distribution, it does
function - called 'glitterMouse', and produces a twinkling mouse
trail effect when you move the cursor, mush like the onRollOver
animation that you'd painstakingly made (ouch) except that it use
random twinkle generation at run-time, and has many property
settings, like color, quantity, gravity, and so on. It might be a
nice addition to your 'wand' cursor, and would not 'replace it' as
it's not a 'cursor' but an effect generator.

you can't purcahse it from there ... yet) can be seen on my site

OK the code for you, add this to the first frame of the
'master' swf, then add the code at the bottom to the end of the
intro swf in the last frame.
EDIT: this is AS2 code, to use AS3 code do something more
like the methods as described above, yet I would still consider
placing all content within a 'master' loading doc, and replaceing
or removeing previously loaded children.

Download the free app My Contacts Backup and use it to back up the contacts on your device now (it will back them up as an attachment to an email that you send to yourself). Then restore your device to your most recent backup to see if it will recover your contacts. If not, if necessary you can open the email and tap the attachment to re-import the contacts you have now back to your device.
If you need to restore to an iCloud backup this has to be done in the initial setup process, which requires you to first erase your device. If you have any more recent data on your device now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens on your device, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). The leading zero in the value 55 is unnecessary, so Numbers eliminates it for cells formatted as Number or Automatic. A cell formatted as Text prior to making the entry will take whatever you type into it and keep it as entered. A cell formatted as Numeral System will display as many places as you tell it to, and will add zeros as necessary without your even having to type them in.

Rebooting the phone and the computer failed to remedy the calendar sync problem.

Easy solution for restoring lost calendar informaiton, thank goodness. On your iPhone, go to settings, then to iCloud. If your Calendar selection is turned off, turn it on. Your info should restore. If your Calendar selection is turned on, then turn it off. Choose to save calendars when asked. After it shuts the Calendar off, turn it back on. Your info should be restored.
Thank you to Apple support for walking me through this. Shame on you Apple for not just telling people about this easy fix rather than making us go through all of this pain and worry.

You're welcome. It was not an answer, it was a question, and it could lead to being helpful if you explain why you think you need to uninstall.
As far as uninstalling goes, you will uninstall it like you do for any program, which depends on what kind of operating system you have. If you wish to retain albums and whatnot, maybe the following link can provide some guidance.

Time Machine - using multiple drives when the first is not available

Hello I have been succussfully using Time Machine with my USB external drive. I have been connecting it to my MacBook Air from time to time. Manual backups as well as the hourly backups when the drive has been connected worked without any problem.
Recently, I connected Synology DiskStation (NAS) to my network and I have added it to the list of drives in my Time Machine setup. When my original external drive (first in the list) is not connected to my MacBook the hourly backup is not initiated by the Time Machine at all. Manually started backup is runnign fine without any problem.
The external drive is annotated with exclamation mark in Time Machines list with "not available" error - and it seems that this is causing the interruption of automatic hourly backup to any drive.
Is there any way how to debug Time Machine? Or to get some logs of Time Machine?
Any similar experience with multiple drive backup when the first of them is disconnected most of the time...?

Perhaps you should address this to Synology's tech support. Apple doesn't provide any support for third-party NAS, so your best bet is with Synology.

Hello! Just connected a used iPhone to iTunes for the first time. I'm trying to restore it to factory settings/default. The phone is connected via Wi-Fi and is updated to the most recent OS that the phone allows. The computer is also connected to the internet. But I still get the error: "itunes could not contact the iphone software update server because you are not connected to the internet." I also connected via iTunes and authorized the computer, but still have the same issue. Really, all I need to do is completely wipe the phone and start from scratch for safety's sake.

Did you check your security software settings?

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it.

iPhoto stores your photos in the iPhoto Library, by default it is in your Pictures folder. Double-click the iPhoto Library in "Pictures". Did you restore your documents and data, including the Pictures folder from your backup after the drive has been wiped?

You can import the videos and photos using iPhoto or Image Capture on your Mac.
Connect the iPad to the Mac with the cable and launch either of those two applications on the Mac. Your iPad should appear as a device in the left side of the app. Click on the iPad name and then you should have access to all of the photos and Vidoes in the camer roll and you can import them onto the Mac.
Im not sure what the reference is to Power Point in this case. You can use the imported photos and videos in a Power Point presentation after you import them to the Mac.
Are you trying to create a Slide Show on the iPad? Is that what you mean by a Power Point presentation?
