Using accuont other than amldapuser to login to ldap via access maanger ?

Hi,
We have multi-domain setup with about 70 subdomains (JES2005Q4). when we try to view the accounts in a domain, it takes us up to 3 minutes to display maybe 200 users in one specific domain.
We had to increase "timeout for search' to 180 secons to allow for the largest domain all users to be returned.
I suspect this is caused by amldapuser which is now used for the ldap login and the amount of ACI's installed.
Is it possible to login to the ldap with another user that would return results more quickly (directory manager ?)
If so, is this a low risk operation, and what must we change exactly ?
current config:
DN for Root user bind: cn=amldapuser,ou=DSAME Users,o=jes.xxxxx.be

Using Dirmanager would not be the best option ...
You could check the following:
1) what is the BASEDN when searching for users?
By default this is o=ROOTORG,ou=PEOPLE since all is copied from the root org by creating the service template, except for the amldapuser password
This should be o=ROOTORG,o=SUBORG,ou=PEOPLE
(or the DC= equivalent)
2) what is the time the actual LDAP query takes (etime)
3) Are there any unindexed searches?

tap your id then click sign out
then sign back in and you should be fine

Use printer other than default? how to hard code it?

Is it possible to make application to use specific printer but other than default? may be hard code it into application code?
For example I know the name of print service(the PATH to configured printer) and I want my application to use THAT printer most of the time. how can make it so that my application uses one printer which is other than default..
printDialog is not a good solutionin in my case I think because user might have 15 printers configured on his machine! and I do not want him to scroll PrintServices combobox looking for needed printer... why not show only 2 or printers out of 15?
or in my case I think it is even better to hard code couple of configured printers in an application code so that I user does not get tired of working with printDialog window every time he needs to print. When my application is released to client it will be used especially for printing porposes of one particular document so he does not need to see margins and printer settings everytime.

Basically the print dialog should offer this function without you having to code it. I don't know on Windows but on my Mac you can select printers other than default and get the computer to remember them.

Automatic Payment F110, Using currency other than the currency of invoice.

I want know if it is possible to make automatic payment by F110, paying through a currency other than the currency of the invoice?
Using the f-53 transaction i know that is possible, but i must use the F110, because I generate a file to send to the Bank.

Emailing form using something other than outlook

Is there anyway I get the form to use a different email system other than outlook when using the email button? We used to go through outlook and we could conveniently hit email and the form would attach and be ready to send. We switched email systems and now work in Zimbra. Is there an easy way to configure the email to use Zimbra instead? Thanks

Hi,
The External iSights are of some vintage now in computer and device terms.
However if kept up-to-date firmware wise it will still work well in to to Snow Leopard.
First check it is being seen in the System Profiler.
This can be accessed by holding the ALT key whilst selecting the Apple icon menu and then the top Item (If you don't hold ALT this items reads About this Mac and if that is used the More Info button also gets you there)
You need to open the reveal Triangle and look in Hardware and Firewire.
If it does show it should show you the Firmware is at 1.0.3
(For Snow Leopard Users. This does seem to make a difference in Snow Leopard despite Apple saying it was only an Audio Update).
Having the External iSight connected to one firewire port and having Hard Drives or other devices connected as well (daisychaining)c can be an issue as the iSIght sends data at a different rate to Hard Drives.
If yours is a newer MacBook Pro that has the Firewire 800 port then you need an Adapter (800 to 400).
I have heard that it pays to look around and read what other people have said works as not all adapters are equal it seems.
If the System Profiler show the Camera then try other apps (Photo Booth, Quicktime (Pro in Leopard if you have the Pro bit) or any other app that can access the camera)
The test in another Mac User Account.
If you don't have one then create one in System Preferences > Accounts.
(I have one called Test and have some of the same iChat Details entered there for Testing)
Try a different FIrewire lead to the camera.
I have read that often changing this solves it (not that the leads fail more often than the camera but it worth a test.)
If you can, try a different computer (If your computer has two or more Firewire ports then check those)
Next Unplug all Firewire devices from the computer and shut down the computer (In the case of a Laptop also Unplug the power)
Wait 15 Mins as this then resets the Firewire controllers (You have to wait long enough for various capacitors to discharge that help retain info on counting/allocating ID numbers to devices that are/were attached which is why Laptops need the power disconnected as well).
Summary.
Check System Profiler and tells what it says.
Try other apps and report on your findings
Try another Mac User (And those same apps) and report back.
Try a Firewire port Reset.
Check the camera on another computer
Try a different Firewire cable/lead.

Cant use anything other than 44.1KHz??

Whenever I set a project to anything other than 44.1KHz it sounds awful. My RME fireface card supports 44.1, 48, 88, 96, 192 (and anything in between using DDC thank you very much RME!). What do I need to do?

Based on the assumption that you are not clocking from an external source which is running at 44.1
Set your internal clock in the Audio Midi Setup program (it's in Applications>Utilities) to whichever clock you wish to use (set it at the Audio Input section and the output should toggle accordingly) then boot logic and change Logic's clock in the Audio pop down menu. This is kind of a boot up thing, if you have iTunes or Quicktime running your computer may not like you for changing the clock.

Still cannot send or receive email using anything other than webmail

I have they yahoo/verizon email and any email program, other than webmail, will not send or receive. It is not a settings issue as it was working one day...about 3-4 months ago...and then stopped the next day. Also, my sub-accounts will still send and receive...it is ONLY the primary account...so definitely not a settings issue.
Verizon email is horrible..switching over to gmail and ending this horror show.

I have a issue with loging in Oracle Solaris 10 using X-Browser and need your help.
I can login to console login using X-Browser but only root can login that use Java Desktop Release 3 and
all rest user cannot login with the session use Java Desktop Release 3.
I have tried to rename .dt directory to reinitialize the user's environment but still not work.
Any person have occurred this problem ? Can u suggest me an idea to solve this :(
