Using Actions in Photoshop Cloud?

I just subscribed to Photoshop Clound service, and my actions I used in Photoshop CS3 are not working. Is it possible to load actions in Photoshop Cloud? Thank you.

Okay I just looked it up and I installed Photoshop Subscription Edition and not the Creative Cloud. Anyway, back to my original question. Will my actions I had on CS3 work on the subscription edition?
If your using Windows and if the version of Photoshop in the Subscription Edition is the same code that is in the non Subscription Edition If you set your preferences to not edit in tabs many actions and scripts may fail.  To test this when one fails edit your preferences check open documents in tabs.  You do not have to close snd restart or put the current document into a tab just retry the action of script again it should work.  CS6 is not ready for prime time cancel your Subscription let Adobe know your unhappy...

  • Using actions in Photoshop Elements from App store.

I have Photoshop Elements 10 that I downloaded from the app store - can I use actions in it? Having trouble installing them on my mac and was wonding if it was something I was doing wrong or if it wasn't even possible. Thanks!

Well, first of all, the only time I would consider buying the app store version is if you have a lot of macs you need to install it on. Otherwise, I would buy the regular retail version. While you can use your apple ID to qualify for upgrade pricing where it asks for a serial number, it's smarter just to shop around for the full version, which is usually much cheaper than adobe's upgrade price if you look around at online retailers and big box stores.
EDIT One other problem with the app store version is that you can no longer reinstall it once a new version is out in the app store. Adobe does make downloads of older versions available, but they all require a standard serial number, so the app store info won't work.

  • Can I use photoshop text styles and photoshop actions with creative cloud photography?

I'm really confused by this subscription pricing. If I purchase the $9.99/month, do I get the full desktop app of Photoshop and Lightroom? But I see on this page Products they list something called Photoshop CC that costs twice as much. How is that different from the Creative Cloud Photography?
My main question is whether I can use photoshop text styles and photoshop actions with Creative Cloud Photography, since I just purchased a bundle that includes these and I want to be able to use them. But I'd also like to understand what comes with all of the various products and how they are different.
My other question is how is Lightroom different from Photoshop? I have a sense of what you can do in Photoshop but I don't know much about Lightroom at all.
One more question: the free trial -- is it limited in any way besides the time length? If I do that, will I get a clear idea of all that I will be able to do once I subscribe, or are the functions limited in the trial?
I tried to just send an email to Adobe to ask these questions but apparently they are not interested in responding to emails from people who are not yet paying customers, so I was directed here. Thanks very much for your help!

I always like to trot this bit about Bridge once in a while or in the voice of the "Two Bobs" from Office Space,
"Can you tell us exactly what it is you do around here?"
    What Adobe Bridge does:
Bridge is the coordinating hub of the Creative Suite. Synchronizing color management settings for all suite programs is done from Bridge, and can only be done from Bridge, to take one important use.
Bridge displays actual thumbnails of many more file types than Finder or Explorer. It also allows instant play of sound or video files more readily than the native OS file managers.
Bridge allows direct access to file metadata, to embed copyright information  and keywords where appropriate (e.g., for corporate logo vector and raster files). It also displays the fonts used in an InDesign file, the swatches in an INDD or AI and the output plates (including spot color plates) they use.
When managing the assets for a design project, Bridge allows quick and simple sorting, rating and custom labeling (with color flash indications) of assets. I can rate images according to whether they are rejects, possibles, for review by client, or approved. The filters built into Bridge allow instant isolation of only the approved images or designs in a folder, only the rejects (for deletion) or only files with certain ratings, no matter how many files it contains. It recognizes aspect ratios, so if I only need a landscape or a 16:9 image in a folder of hundreds of images, I turn off the aspect ratios I don't need.
Once filtered, the remaining visible files can be selected and copied, moved, or deleted without affecting the rest of the contents of a folder.
Collections are a massively useful feature. One of my clients is a performing arts center, and in a season we turn out dozens of ads, flyers, brochures, web banners, playbills, billboards and other collateral using the same assets over and over. These assets are organized by artist and/or show on disk, but I set up each season's repeating assets as a Collection in Bridge, so that I just have to open the collection and drag and drop these assets into new INDD, AI, PSD, HTML (in Dreamweaver), FLA or AE projects without having to navigate from folder to folder picking up individual files.
Bridge's Favorites is another place I stack frequently-accessed folders, such as stock photography, backgrounds, and top-level folders for active projects.
Assets can be divided into subfolders, but a quick toggle of "Show items from subfolders" exposes all of the assets in a single view while maintaining their organization. I will typically keep AIs, PSDs, EPSs, stock photography and client images in separate subfolders within a project. When I'm ready to start pulling assets into an InDesign layout, I toggle this on and simply drag what I need into the layout.
Bridge comes with Adobe Camera Raw built in, which is many times faster than using Photoshop to adjust jpegs or tiffs for things like tonal range, white balance, cropping, spotting and sharpening, and is non-destructive.
One tremendously useful Bridge function for InDesign CS5+ users is the "Show linked files" feature, which opens all the linked files in a layout into a single view, regardless of where they are physically located. I often use this when doing alternative layouts from a client-approved mockup for a campaign, to be certain the same assets are used in each piece, or when creating a motion graphic or interactive piece for the campaign in After Effects or Flash.
The batch and image processing scripts built into Bridge automate things like creating web-ready small jpegs from multiple images, renaming large numbers of files in place or by copying to an alternative location, creating sets of PSD, png, jpeg or other file types from an assortment of image files, and so on.
Bridge is so much a part of my daily workflow that on my main workstation I have one monitor dedicated to it almost 100%. Bridge just sits open 24/7, ready for use. I would run at half speed without it, no question.

I am trying to use the trial creative cloud software on a PC windows 8.1 - I've downloaded and removed Photoshop CC 2014 two times - every time I open the file it says there is a problem and it shuts down and closes. I can open indesign and maybe other apps but photoshop no. Any ideas?

I don't think I can access the crash report? Excuse the ignorant questions I'm about to make am a relative tech novice.
Soo - as mentioned every time I open photoshop it crashes - it just says there's an error and the program will shut down and if there's a solution windows will notify me. Then nothing...
I've tried to look in photoshop files for the detailed crash report & the system event viewer but cannot find a file with those names. I've also looked in the windows files for files with those names but cannot find them either - so I don't know where to look.
    Any guidance would be great.

  • How to use the "Actions" in Photoshop Elements 11

I am wanting to use the "Actions" in Photoshop Elements 11.  But when I get the actions box up, it is only showing a small list of effects to use.  The tutorials I have checked into all show a very long list of actions. When I click on the little arrow and click on "load actions", I am getting nothing. Everything is blank.  It says "No items match your search."  Please help!

To use the existing actions, try the following:
    1. Open one of the Action Sets, in this example Special Effects is the Action Set, by pressing the small arrow beside the set name.
    2. Then click on the name of the Action, in this example Faded Ink is the Action name.
    3. Then press the Play button to run the action.

  • Does Creative Cloud offer free filters/actions for Photoshop?

I have Adobe Creative Cloud and was wondering if they offered any free filters or actions for Photoshop? I'm still a beginner, but wanted to find some actions to try out on my photographs.
    Thanks!

There are several that are included with photoshop, they are accessible by clicking on the small icon in the upper right hand corner of the actions panel. Also check out the Exchange (Which will be updated soon and will have a new URL)

  • When running actions in Photoshop CC I am now getting an error.

At my job I use actions all the time and on my last day of work, 02-04-15, all my actions were working just find and I came in yesterday, 02-09-15, and now all I am getting is the error. Absolutely NOTHING was changed on my computer at all. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I am completely at a loss please help.
Ok, after playing my actions step by step it has something to do with the Export section of my actions. I'm still not sure why all of the sudden it stops working but would this mean I need to re-record the export sections of all of my actions now?

What other information would be helpful? I am running Windows 7. I have uninstalled Creative Cloud Photoshop and re-installed it and I am still having issues with my "Save for web" option which is the "export" section of my action. As you can tell I am not the best at explaining the technical aspects of things, so any help or ideas would be spectacular if possible! I have absolutely no idea what to do.

  • Actions in Photoshop Elements 10?

I'm trying to figure out how to use actions, it looks like it's a great way to edit photos. I'm watching youtube videos and they all say "go to window" and "actions" bar. I did that and when I went to window there was no actions bar? Is that something that isn't included in elements 10? or is there somewhere else to find it?
    thanks.
    Nikki

That's only in Photoshop. PSE has a limited kind of actions player in guided edit, or you can install actions in the effects panel.
Texas Chicks has very complete instructions for installing actions:
    http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.com/photography-page/installing-actions-in-photoshop-el ements/
However, there are some differences between using actions in PSE and in PS. The action should only include steps that PSE understands (no history snapshot, for instance) and you can only run an action on one image at a time in PSE, not on a folder the way you can in PS.

  • Convert photos using the Tools Photoshop Imagine Processor (Photoshop CS 5)

All of a sudden, I am having issues when I attempt to convert photos using the Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor option in Adobe Bridge.  I used this methodology in the past and the conversion to JPG or TIFFs would fly with no interruption.  Now I am getting now getting getting dialog boxes with "New Snapshot" in the title,  I click OK, then get a message, "The command "Feather" is not currently available," I click "continue, and gert a "New Layer" dialog box, I click OK, and  get a "Fill" dialog box, I click OK and the JPG or Tiff is then generated.  This series then starts over on the next photo to generate.  I am using Photoshop CS5 on a MAC.  I did uninstall and re-install Photoshop l, but I am getting the same series on messages.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

It sounds like you have an action running when processing the photos
Look at the bottom of the image processor dialog and and see if Run Action is checked

  • Will I be able to use my current Photoshop CC on a new computer when I upgrade?

I am looking into using Photoshop CC ($9.99/mo). I need a new program right now on my current laptop. I plan to upgrade my laptop at the end of the year. Will I be able to use the same Photoshop account?

Cloud License allows 2 activations http://www.adobe.com/legal/licenses-terms.html
    -Install on a 2nd computer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1452292?tstart=0
-Windows or Mac does not matter... 2 on the same operating system, or 1 on each
-Both computer Cloud subscriptions may not be in use at the same time

  • Problem embedding Digimarc using Actions in CS4

    Hi
In CS4 embedding a Digimarc (with a Digimarc ID) works, as it should*, manually and when setting up and editing an action to embed the Digimarc. However when I run the action either on individual images or batches using a droplet and then read the Digimarc the correct Digimarc ID is not present but is replaced with Digimarc Demo.
All the other information (such as transaction ID, restricted use and do not copy) is as it should be*, just the correct Digimarc ID is somehow dropped.
I've trashed all photoshop and digimarc preferences, deactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled CS4 to no avail.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Adobe will not help unless I join the Support Program and didn't seem too interested in logging this as an issue. I'm waiting for a response from Digimarc.
The same process worked without problems in CS3 but due to extremely slow file opening times with CS3 in Leopard we purchased CS4.
*Another interesting thing is, having uninstalled CS4 and reinstalled CS3, the images I manually embedded the Digimarc in using CS4 (that read ok in CS4) do not contain the Digimarc when I try to read them in CS3. Has anyone else tried reading CS4 embedded Digimarcs in an older version and noticed this problem?
    Thanks
    Emma

    Hi David
After we contacted Digimarc they tested the embed filter at their end and found they also got the same problem. Their final solution, a new pair of plugins for CS4 solved it and we can now embed using actions and droplets.
The problem of not being able to read the Digimarc in CS3 or CS2 has now been resolved too.
If you login to the customer area on their website and go the Tech Toolbox there are now Digimarc 3.0 plugins to download for CS4, I'm guessing these are the new ones (they emailed them over to me so not 100% on this but last time I looked they were 2.0 plugins). Shame they haven't put this as a FAQ or alerted anyone to the fact there might be a problem but hey, they've fixed it.

  • Using Actions in batch editing??

Is there any way to use Actions in Batch Editing in Photoshop Elements 10 or any Elements??  Thanks!

No, this is one of the lines adobe has drawn to differentiate between PS and PSE. In PSE you can only run an action on one file at a time, not on a folder as in PS. It might be possible with an add-on like elements+, which claims to allow scripting for batch processing, but I've never tried that. Perhaps someone else will know for sure.
