Using Adapter with Cordless Phone

Hi everyone! My family and I are going to live in South America next week and need help deciding whether to buy the Skype Adapter or the Dual phones. If we use the adapter and get an online number, if someone calls our online number, can we answer the call on our cordless phones?
Also, does anyone know if the adapter has to be connected to the computer to make calls?

Howdy, I think it's unlikely you'll be able to do what you want. There haven't been any new phone drivers for Palm OS devices issued since the 2005 Phone Link Update, and the Palm OS is essentially dead so there won't be any new drivers written.

Skype phone number with cordless phone

Has anyone used this? How is the quality and how much does it cost to make calls worldwide? I currently use Skype when I can (when the other party has Skype), but I have Vonage with my small business and I need to make international calls. I am trying to decide if it would be smart to switch to the Skype phone service. Any advice/help would be great. Thanks.

Interferance with cordless phone

My Airtunes cuts out frequently while on the cordless phone. I have tried all the different settings (channels, robust signal, etc.) in the Airport Utility. Any suggestions?
I don't use it for my internet. Only for Airtunes.

Hello Steve Hoiberg. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Unfortunately, not many choices here. I am assuming the your cordless phone operates on the 2.4 GHz radio band. If so, here are a few things to try:
o Change radio channels on the AirPort Express Base Station (AX)
o Change radio channels on the cordless phone (if it offers this option)
o Relocate the cordless phone's base station.
o Replace your cordless phone for one that operates in either the 900 MHz or 5 GHz band.

WRT54G interference with cordless phone

I have a WRT54G wireless router. I have changed the channel setting several times so it would not interfere with my 5.8GHZ phone. Still messes up my phone. Any suggestions?

Anyone actually use bluetooth with their phone?

So i have recently discovered that the less i deal with my phone directly the better my quality of life should be. I have deleted pretty much all the bs social networking apps from my phone and try my damndst to keep my eyes off of the screen. But the problem lies with my phone - the actual phone part- i get a lot of calls per day for business and well, i hate it. Good for business but bad for my anti phone phase. A buddy of mine got me off of the iOS band wagon and into the android eco system a while back and uses a blueant q2, now i would like to take his word for it and im sure i can, but im intesteed to know what the what the community uses, if any....

My dad has an upgrade with his phone number, can I preorder the iPhone 5s with his number and use it with my phone number?

I want to preorder the iPhone 5s. My personal phone number is not eligible for an upgrade yet, but my day's phone number is. He says that I can use his upgrade. On September 20, 2013 when the online preorder begins, am I able to preorder a phone for myself with my dads number and use it with my own number? How does it all work?

Most carriers will allow you to swap phones between numbers without a problem. Swapping will not change the contract on the number that the phone was ordered for. Nor will it affect eligibility for future upgrades. Of course the "swap" will normally need to be done with phones on the same carrier and is probably easier to do when on the same account.
I do this every year, or rather every other year. I am the techie, my wife not so much. So when the new iPhone comes out, I get it for which ever number is eligible for upgrade and have it activated to my number and then activitate my old phone to her number. I usually go to the phone company store (AT&T in my case) as they have new sims on hand and usually need to use at least one.

Airtunes audio drop with cordless phone call

... is this normal behavior? I kinda don't mined since it's like an automatic mute (although I need to hit play again in iTunes after the phone call). Just wondering if there are configuration options to change this. Maybe switching channels?

Changing channels may help.
Some cordless phones operate on the sam 2.4GHz frequency as Airport and therefore can cause interference.

Using iMessage with my phone number

Hey guys, im trying to imessage my friend in the US from Australia, because texting normally is costing too much. However i couldnt imessage this morning and reset my network settings, now under send and receive its got my @live address and @icloud, but my number is greyed out so I cant select it.
Any advice on how to fix this?

yes the above said, yahoo messenger came out with the update, which you can do video calling from your iphone 4/ipod touch 4G to a pc/mac. It can be done through wi-fi or 3G
There is another app called Tango which you can do video chat cross-platformed, meaning, you can make video call with another device that isn't an iphone 4, such as an android phone, they should also have tango, once they download the tango, and if their e-mail is saved in your contact, you will then be able to make video calls. can be done in wi-fi or 3G
*if you have unlimited 3G data, then I wouldn't worry, but if you have a data cap, then not recommeneded as it can eat up your data pretty fast.

Why doesn't my iPad allow me to use iMassage with my phone number anymore?

I used to use FaceTime and iMassage with my cell phone number on my iPad. Now, it only allows me to use my email address. Why the change?
I'm using iOS 6.1.3.
