Using Admin Center/Process Administrator inside BPM Studio

Hi,
I have a process where we have included many jars and external resources as well as we are using the External Task - Portal for our JSP's? Also the users are such that they cannot be included inside of Studio Users. We therefore cannot test the process within the Studio itself.
We therefore have to make an EXP file each time we make a change to our process and then deploy it to the ALBPM Server using the Process Administrator to test even a small change made to the process. The deployment takes a long time, sometimes even more than 10 mins.
We loose a lot of time doing this.
Is there an easy way to test the changes using the Studio itself without making an EXP file?
Please remember we need the EXP file and the Server because the JARS and the External Resources , especially the Portal JSP's do not work from within the studio itself..

I solved the problem and I posted the solution into my blog, visit http://rodrigozuchetto.blogspot.com/

  • HTML Client - can I use authentication when debugging locally inside Visual Studio

    This should be so simple, but I cannot find it, is it possible to enable authentication when debugging an HTML client locally inside VS so that the Login page is shown and you have to log in when you run the app?
    We are adding additional code into the Login page and need to debug this... at the moment the only way we can find to do this is to actually deploy the app.
    There must be a way?

    In this post Security with HTML Client Huy said the following:
    "Unfortunately at debug time the runtime will always use a Test Account with Administrator permission and there's no good way to change this behavior."
    So there is no "good" (i.e. easy) way to do this, but perhaps there is a work around?

  • DataSource in BPM Studio

    Hi,
    Help please, how to use the DataSource in PBL (or BPM Studio) when deploying the application, use the DataSource configured in the WebLogic to connect to the database.
    In BPM Studio, I have set up an external resource to connect to the database, in addition I'm using BPM Studio wrap to separate business and data layers.
    Thanks for any help or tip

    Hi
    Yes, ofcourse you have option for this. We have like 2 types: ProcessDataObjects and ProjectDataObjects. Project Data Objects are used across any different Processes. But processdatabojects are only in that Process. BUT the limitation is, all these multiple Processes are in the SAME workflow project. Because they all share same XSD folder. If you have mutlipe different projects you cannot share them. Unless if the data is really usable, I will not go for the ProejctDataObjects scope.
    We have some issues, in having multiple Processes in single Workflow Project. One straight forward thing is, I CANNOT have single separate deployment files SCA Jar for my own process. There is one giant single SCA JAR file that deploys all the Processes in that project. Say I modify only ProcessXYZ, but I cannot deploy that alone.

  • OBPM Admin Center Configuration

    I've installed
    1.DB 10g
    2.Weblogic(not standalone)
    3.OBPM Studio, and Admin Center
    4.Portal
    now I'm using Admin Center. it's required to configure directory before using it.
    the first time I configure it, error.
    I tried again, then it's always the same error "URL ... already exist"
    I don't know the reason why the first time it failed.
    but I want to know how to solve the problem now, that is how to delete that URL, so that it won't remind it's already exist.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    I also look for the same details. Can you forward me the copy of configuration details to [email protected]
    Thanks

    Not the answer you wanted and sure you already thought of this, but try using a group email address inside the Process Admin email field.

  • BPM 11g Process Administrator functions: Where are they now??

    Good morning,
    I've got some decent ALBPM6.0.5 experience, and now I've just started in a new project that uses BPM 11g. I've attended to an Oracle "Hands On" so I know 11g is VERY different from 10g/ALBPM.
    My main problem is that I cannot find anywhere where are Roles and Users managed in the server. From where do I administer Roles, Users, Groups, Organizational Units. All that used to be in the Process Administrator. How is that done now? I swear I've gone through all the documentation at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/soa.htm and still found nothing :(
    Also, is now using an LDAP mandatory? Or can something like ALBPM Directory still be used??
    Thanks in advance.

    User/Role management is now done through the workspace itself. You must login as an administrative user (like weblogic) and you will see an Admin link in the upper right of the workspace.
    Authentication and user lookup is now handled directly by Weblogic - so you setup authentication Providers in the WLS security realm through the admin console.
    By default Weblogic is configured to use an internal LDAP that stores local users (this is where the "weblogic" user itself is defined).
    General steps are provided here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10226/hwf_config.htm#BHCJGBFJ

  • How to kill an instance process in BPM studio 6.0

    Hi i'm Fabio.
    I'm working on BPM Studio 6.0 and i need to complete a task.
    I have an instance id process, and i need to create a new process in order to kill this istance id.
    I read how to create a PAPI client (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/papi/index.html?t=modules/papi/c_Writing_Your_First_Java_PAPI_Program.html) but it doesn't work for my purpose.
    First of all, i understood that i have to follow these step:
    * Import the required libraries.
    * Create a process service.
    * Create a process service session.
    * Perform operations with PAPI.
    * Close the process service.
    Now, i'm working on my xpdl file and i'm using the Standard Module "Fuego" and my plan is to create a process servcie, a process service session and then operate with PAPI.
    But using the PAPI module include in the BPM studio 6.0 i'm no able to load the library for the session import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
    so i'm worng something. Could you tell me how can menage this problem? Really do i need a session? Is possible to abort an istance process in BPM studio or i need to load my ear project in Enterprise environment and then kill my instance process? Thanks, regards Fabio.

    Thanks Dan, i read your suggestion but my boss was to implement a different solution:
    package hp.abort.process;
    import fuego.boot.*;
    import fuego.papi.CommunicationException;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceInfo;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceId;
    import fuego.papi.ProcessService;
    import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
    import fuego.papi.OperationException;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import javax.transaction.*;
    import java.lang.Exception;

  • Process Administrator and Workspace admin url for 10gR3

    I am running 10gR3 bpm locally.
    Url to access my local workspace is http://localhost:8585/workspace/faces/jsf/workspace/workspace.xhtml
    Could you let me know the URL for accessing the process administrator and workspace admin.
    Thanks in advance.

    Looking at your port 8585 it is the default port for Studio, in Studio there is no webconsole or workspace administrator, those applications only are available in enterprise.
    If your case is enterprise then the url is /webconsole and /portaladmin

  • BPM : Message interface is not used by this process

    Hi,
    In BPM : to pass the message facing error as below.
    Messages not reflecting in BPM monitor.
    I have configured Recveiver - transformation - sender in BPM.
    In recvier in BPM is configured with Abstract Type as same in the message mapping.
    Is there any thing i am missing?

    Regards,

    Hi,
    I just saw your IP design and from this I can see that you have message mapping between Sender(as in Outbound interface MIOASY) and abstract interface (as in MIAASY) and then in that you have used transformation step to utilise Interface mapping which is between same abstract interface which is not required at all as message type for both the interfaces is same. For me, what your configuration would be is
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender and Outbound interface and Abstract interface with interface mapping IM_Sender
        b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it must be of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
    If I am assuming it correct then if you see then inside BPM we are not using receiver interface MIIASY which is why I feel this error is coming.
    However, if you design it something like this then I feel the error would get resolved
    Design
    1. Make one abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen) of same type as sender, and create another abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec) of same type as your receiver message type
    2. Create message mapping between sender message type and receiver message type, Interface mapping IM_ABS - (MM_ABS_ABS) between sender abstract interface (MIAASY_Sen)  and receiver abstract interface (MIAASY_Rec)
    3. BPM should be something like this
       Container:*
    rec Abstract Interface MIAASY_Sen
    send Abstract Interface MIAASY_Rec
    Receiver (rec) - Transformation (IM_ABS) -  sender (send)
    Configuration
    1. Sender agreement to fetch the message from outbound interface(MIOASY) utilising communication channel with whatever adapter you have used
    2. Receiver Determination with Sender and sender interface as MIOASY while receiver as IP(Integration process)
    3. Interface determination between
        a. Sender,Outbound interface MIOASY and Abstract interface MIAASY_Sen with no interface mapping
       b. IP as sender with abstract interface MIAASY_Rec and receiver interface MIIASY with no interface mapping being used as it is of same type as receiver interface is
    4. Receiver agreement with MIIASY being used as receiver interface and communication channel utlililsed to convert it into receiver format.
    Let me know if it works.
    Regards,
    Amit

  • When to use BPM Studio & BPM Composer

    Hi,
    I'm aware of BPM Studio and BPM Composer components and have used them using Sales Quote example.
    I need to know the key differences between studio and composer that differentiate each other interms of usage.
    When to go with studio and composer?
    Thanks
    Saleem

    Hello Saleem,
    The Process Composer is a web based application and is typically used by Business Analysts, who do not want to have JDeveloper installed. The Process Composer can be perfectly used in user sessions. All process information defined with the Process Composer is stored in the MDS repository. It can be extracted from there and handed over to the developers, who typically do their work in JDeveloper.
    Vice versa work from within JDeveloper can be given back from Jdeveloper towards the Process Composer (publish to MDS).
    Another neat functionality is the ability to create BPM blueprints/templates in Process Composer and JDeveloper. These can also be shared between the two IDE's.

  • Diff Between Oracle BPM Studio and Oracle BPEL Process Manager

    1)What is the difference between Oracle BPM Studio and Oracle BPEL Process Manager?
    2)What is the connection between Oracle BPM Studio and Oracle BPEL Process Manager?

    Hi,
    As of today you should install SOA Suite 11g
    Fr this you will need to install Database (for development you can use XE)
    Run RCU utility to crete DB schemas for SOA Suite.
    Install Weblogic server
    Install SOA Suite as an option to Weblogic
    Create SOA Domain.
    It is physically possible to do it in 2GB but is far better on 3 - 4GB
    You can consider installing DB on different machine.

  • BPEL Process in BPM Studio

    Hello,
    First, are there any examples, tutorials, or documentation on how to create and run a BPEL process within BPM Studio (5.7) ?
    I've gotten quite a ways by trial and error, but am having trouble running / testing out the process.
    I've tried doing a Process->Generate Process Interface and Process->Run but nothing happens in BPM Studio when these are performed. What else do i need to do to test out my BPEL process with external webservice ?
    Here's the steps i've taken so far.
    1. Developed a simple external webservice with netbeans (JAX-WS).
    2. Generated WSDL and XSD with wsgen executable.
    3. Developed WSDL & XSD for BPEL Process request & reply.
    4. Created a new project within BPM Studio.
    5. Created a new module under "Catalog" for wsdl introspection.
    6. Cataloged webservice component with local wsdl/xsd files.
    7. Configured the Server configuration generated under the "External Resources" to point to the webservice host.
    8. Configured the web service under "External Resources" to point to the webservice endpoint on the host (Server configuration)
    9. Created a new BPEL Process.
    10. Created new Instance variables for the process input and output as "component" type that point to the introspected request & response types.
    11. Assigned the port type & method of the BPEL Receive to the introspected service defined in #3.
    12. Assinged the input variable to the request variable created in #10.
    13. Assigned port type & method & output variable to the BPEL reply.
    14. Created a BPEL Invoke node between Request & Reply.
    15. Assigned port type & method on the Invoke node to instrospected web service defined in #2.
    16. Created instance variables for input & output of invoke node based on introspected request & reply
    17. Assigned input & output.
    Once all of this was complete, doing a Process->Check Design yeilded no errors or warnings.
    Thanks for any help,
    Chris
