Using Adobe Premier Elements to create a video using the photos and it is make the photos blurry. Is there a setting to correct this?

as the subject states, i am suing Premier Elements pro to create a video using photos. The photos are clear then when you play the video they become blurry. I would guess there would be a way to correct this but not having much success. any helps would be great.

Thanks for the follow up. Right now I see details that do need addressing. For one, you are importing 3:2 photos into a project set for 16:9.
You still have not told us what version of Premiere Elements that you are using and on what computer operating system it is running. For now I will assume, Premiere Elements 13/13.1 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. NTSC setup.
Please try the following as a mini test run (just a few of your photos) to determine if the Timeline photos present better in the Edit area and in an export.
1. Open Premiere Elements 13/13.1 to the Expert workspace and go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
2. In Change Settings, change the settings to
NTSC
DSLR
1080p
DSLR [email protected]
OK out of there.
3. In the New Project Dialog that now opens, rename the project and make sure that you have a check mark next to Force Selected Project Setting on This Project. OK out of there.
4. Back in the Export workspace, import your photos using Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders/Projects Assets from where you drag the photos to the Timeline. There will be an orange line over the Timeline content. Press the Enter key of the computer main keyboard. or the Render button above the Timeline to do Timeline rendering which will result in the best possible preview in the Edit area monitor.
Also, right click the Edit area monitor, select Playback Quality, and then determine if the "Highest" gives better results than "Automatic".
If all looks good, then let us look at the quality of a AVCHD.mp4 export of that Timeline....
Publish+Share
Computer
AVCHD
with Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30.
Is the quality of the photos in this mini test run better, the same, or worse?
About your photos (3872 x 2592 3:2)...video is 4:3 or 16:9. So to avoid black borders, you could consider
a. cropping the originals from 3:2 to 16:9 before import
or
b. importing them as is and doing any needed scaling in the Edit area monitor
But, right now the focus is on image clarity rather than black borders.
Please review and consider.
Thank you.

This is not Adobe. We are Premiere Elements users trying to help Premiere Elements users. We try to answer as soon as we see an issue presented. But we do not have a fixed schedule.
We need to backup on this to find out exactly what you want to gain with Interpret Footage. And, what you are doing?
I am a little concerned when you write "...try to change the aspect ratio of the full screen...". You cannot change the aspect ratio of the full screen with Interpret Footage or anything else within the project.  The Edit Mode monitor that you see before you is determined by the project preset that you or the project is setting.
In Premiere Elements 11 the program steps in front of you and automatically sets the project preset according to the properties of what you drag to the Timeline for the first time. Sometimes it does it OK, sometimes not. When it does not, then you set the project preset yourself manually before you import your media into the program.
To do that, open your new project, go to File Menu/New/Project and set the project preset that matches the properties of your source media that you will bring in after you set the project preset. Before leaving the new project dialog, make sure that you have a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on this Project". Then close out of there. In the workspace, go to Add Media and bring in your source media.
DO NOT use the File Menu/Interpret Footage if you want to change the frame rate or pixel aspect ratio of anything that you have already imported. Go to the imported file in Project Assets, right click it, select Interpret Footage, and work with the Interpret Footage dialog that opens.
I suspect that you may be using Interpret Footage for something other than what it is supposed to be used for.
I am getting the Help message, but I cannot help you without details of what you are doing.
If you are not understanding what I am trying to tell me, do not hesitate to let me know. I will re-write the information if necessary. But to do that I need details to work from.
    We can solve this issue.
    Thank you.

Hi, After I try to load either an existing or new project in Adobe Premier Elements 9 I just get a blank grey screen with none of the timeline, etc. boxes on view. This has suddenly happened, one day OK next not! At the top of the screen I get the normal Pre icon, File, Edit, Clip, etc.
I am planning on purchasing Premier Elements 13, would it be better if I bought a new program rather than download an upgrade, just in case the upgrade doesn't load properly due to the error with my existing program?
If I the deleted Premier Elements 9 on my PC would I lose all my existing videos that were produced using Premier Elements 9 or would they be saved so that they can still be worked on in Premier Elements 13?
Does Premier Elements 13 work with Windows 7?
    Thanks
    Terry

Premiere Elements 13 absolutely works with Windows 7!
In fact, I'd highly recommend you download the free trial and give it a test run.
Meantime, go to Windows Update and make sure you have all of the latest Windows updates, including those that don't install automatically. Then go to the nVidia or ATI site and ensure you have the latest driver for your graphics card, and go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements.

  • Using Premier Elements - no sound in video after "Share & Publish" and exporting to my computer

I'm using Premiere Elements 13 on a PC (bought the disc and it's installed and registered.)  I created a music video using many video clips and 3 different audio tracks.  All audio was unlinked from the video.  Some of the audio is from video AVIMovie and some is MP3 format.  It plays just fine while I am editing it and after I save and then open to continue editing.  I used the Publish and Share to export it to my computer.  After it finished I tried playing it - in Windows Media Player - and there is no audio.  What am I doing wrong?

    I assume you already did this? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … #GStreamer

Let us go through the typical drill on your Premiere Elements 13 Window 8.1 64 bit issue, and then we can focus in more based on your replies.
    1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    2. Are you using a pen and tablet device or mouse?
3.According to the Device Manager/Display Adapters, what video card/graphics card does your computer use? How many cards, and is driver version
    up to date?
    5. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?
Please look at the following solutions for 12 to determine if they will work for you in 13.

This does not always happen, for example if I get a PDF file by email, it appears to be primarilly when I download from the internet.
I use Adobe Reader X1. Can you assist please. Thanks

Thanks Eric, no it does not help the matter. I opened the file using preview and the same message appeared. Thanks.

  • I created a Custom list New Form and need to make the text fields read only

When I use SharePoint Designer and add the read only attribute  to the  SharePoint form field, then it throws  a web part error.
but here is the thing, I have current user Filters populating the Form Fields. So the form fields  populate First name , last name etc. and I need these fields read-only....
the Client doesn t want the end user to Change those fields.  Is there any way to "LOCK" the form fields?
As I have only 7 text fields that need to be locked down. and one field is a signature line that is a true input field.. where the  user has to inter their initials.
Any ideas? as I have tried most of the items available thru searches nothing works, or it throws that web part error message.
    Steve Athey

Daniel: ( I'm now at work, a different ID is logged on for me)
    I used SharePoint Designer.
    Steps:
     created a web part page
then on the SharePoint Designer ribbon I then went to insert:
    new item form
Then I selected my data source (list)
then I placed the 8 columns on the page
a page viewer web part to pull the manual that people have to read.
and 7 current user filter webparts. (1 for each form field) Yes it is over kill, but I'm trying to keep this straight out of box as much as possible...
    then for the form fields
I added a parameter and the read only tag see below in bold:
    <asp:TextBox runat="server" text="{$ParamEmployID}" id="ff17{$Pos}" __designer:bind="{ddwrt:DataBind('i',concat('ff17',$Pos),'Text','TextChanged','ID',ddwrt:EscapeDelims(string(@ID)),'@Employee_x0020_ID')}"
    ReadOnly="True" />
I also  added the parameters in the ribbon area
the error message doesn't tell me much, it just send me to web part maintenance page...
if I removed the  ReadOnly = True then the error  goes away.....   So I was trying to find a  quick simple  JQuery and or javascript   code item that would  make  the 7 text fields readonly and leave the
8th  text field alone  to allow people to place their initials on the page to say that they read the manual.
I have  created hundreds of these types of pages .. this is the first time I have run into this issue, but it also the first time I have tried to use the ReadOnly = True item.
Any Ideas  and or thought on how to make the  items read only? and not throw the error.

It is not working what do i do

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Adobe Premier Elements 11

Using Adobe Premier Elements 11 I experience "freezing" when I:
add some info to a picture while making a DVD, save the program then access the button to continue scanning the photos for the next spot in which to add more info. Not always, but often if freezes the program. Norton tells me I'm using 4,095 MB of memory and I have 8 GB in the Dell Inspiron desktop. Sometimes the program quits when I've asked to, "Wait for program." Any help?
I have noted that my installation shows two instances of (Adobe Premier Elements 11 and Adobe Premier Elements) as having been installed at the same time. One is 96 Kb large and the other is 1077 Kb large. Is this normal?

    Yes, Normal.
Adobe Premiere Elements 11.exe (95.9 KB) opens first
    and
Adobe Premiere Elements.exe (1.05 MB aka 1075 KB) opens second
Two processes of Premiere Elements 11. They are found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
    Local Disk C
    Program Files
    Adobe
    Adobe Premiere Elements 11
and in the Premiere Elements 11 Folder are these two .exe files.
When you install the program, the desktop icon for the program targets the Adobe Premiere Elements 11.exe to open to the Welcome Screen. You can bypass the Welcome Screen by creating a desktop icon for the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe and using the latter to open Premiere Elements each time so that you do not run into the Welcome Screen.
Alternately, you can set the Welcome Screen "On Start Always Launch" = Video Editor.
    You wrote

Although we are glad that you believe you have found your answer to the issue presented, I would ask
    a. What are the formats and pixel dimensions of the photos being imported in Premiere Elements project?
    b. Not sure what that " ...continue scanning the photos for the next spot to add more info" is all about. Are you going into the Elements Organizer 11 which comes with Premiere Elements 11 and using File Menu/Get Photos and Videos/From Scanner? If so, where do you scan the photos to? How are you importing them into Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace - Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets and to Timeline or something else?
Besides photo formats, pixel dimensions, and computer resources, your workflow sequence of events (maybe some multitasking) may be involved in this freezing (other than you are too fast for the program).
    Please review and consider.
    Thanks.

Add On...From what you wrote, I am guessing that you are working on Premiere Elements 11 running on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. If so, that would put you in a better computer resource position than otherwise. Also, watch out for antivirus interference.

  • Adobe Premier Elements 12 on i7 4500U Turbo

I'm considering acquiring a Sony Vaio Flip 15.
Hoping to get "the best of both worlds". Wanted mobility of laptop, with added feature of a converable (to tablet mode), while still having enough power to support my video editing using Adobe Premier Elements.
The System Configuration of the Sony Vaio Flip 15 I am considering:
    4th gen Intel Core i7 4500U (1.8Ghz / 3.0Ghz with Turbo Boost)
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
15.5 Full HD IPS TRILLUMINOUS Display for mobile (1920 x 1080) Touch Screen
NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M w/ Optimus (2GB) hybrid graphics
256GB (256GB x 1) solid state drive (I also have 1TB of NAS - 2TB mirrored) that I use to store my media)
    16GB (8GB x2) DDR3L-1600Mhz
Specs for Premier Elements System Requirements indicate a 2GHz processor of faster.
    My questions:
Will the overdrive capabilities of the i7 4500U (1.8GHz / 3.0GHz with Turbo) support Elements needs - and I don't just mean "install"?
I've seen post regarding Elements support for NVIDIA drivers. I specifically looked for an NVIDIA card figuring Elements would perform better on and non-integrated video card. Will I have issues with the NVIDIA card?
Any enlightening responses would be greatly appreciated.

    Bill and Steve,
    Thank you for your replies.
    Latest update:
I've abandoned the idea of including my requirement for a Convertable/Tablet. Given the processor requirements suggested by Steve and Bill's suggestion of a second storage drive, I began to reseach Gaming Laptops. I found two within my price range that seemed to have the cababilities that would support my video editing needs.
    The Alienware 14:
    4th gen Intel Core i7-4700MQ (8MB Cache, 2.8 Ghz / 3.8 Ghz with Turbo Boost) PaasMark = 9321
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
    14" WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Display
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5
    256GB mSATA Boot + 750GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s
    16GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600Mhz
    The Toshiba Qosmio X70-ABT3G22:
    4th gen Intel Core i7-4900MQ (6MB Cache, 2.2 Ghz / 3.2 Ghz with Turbo Boost) PaasMark = 7936
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
    17.3" FHD TruBrite LED Backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M with NVIDIA Optimus Technology 3GB GDDR5
    500GB HDD (7200rpm, Serial-ATA)
256GB mSATA solid state drive (SSD)
    500GB HDD (7200rpm, Serial-ATA) [2nd Hard Disk Drive]
    16GB DDR3L 1600Mhz SDRAM (8GB + 8GB) - Expandable to 32GB
I do use my 2TB Western Digital My World Bood Edition II as NAS for backup of my household PC, as well as primary archived storage of my media (video, photo and music). This NAS is actually mirrored (1TB each) and 4 years old, I am considering purchasing at least one 2TB WD External Hardrive for "offsite" backup - though I'm also evaluating alternative archive and "safe" backup implementations.

  • Install Error 1935 Adobe Premier Elements 10 Windows 7 64

So Windows 7 looks like it's finishing up installing Premier Elements 10 when I get an error message and Windows rolls back the install.  I know others might have had similar issues but I haven't found any sort of solution that works.
I spent about 6 hours trying different things.  Trying to use safe mode and running without any extra services through MSconfig.
I even tried reinstalling NET Framework and changing the registry keys  (which I wasn't able to do since it won't let me delete the .NET Framework key even with permissions.)
I also downloaded the trial version of Premier elements but it came up with the same error message.
Here is what I keep on getting:
I will be calling the phone support on Monday but I have a feeling  they will say it's just something wrong with my computer.  Which I don't  think is possible because I was able to install the Vegas HD trial and  other programs easily enough.

Well I went through that list before.  I did try yet another install using all those suggestions.  No Dice.
The only thing I can come up with is that I tried to install a really old version of premiere 7 that wasn't able to be installed since it wasn't supported by Windows 7.  So maybe that screwed up things?
Either that or I just have severe Registry issues with NET Framework and I can't get those keys fixed.  But again I am able to get other programs installed and whatnot.
I have already tried to clean up my registry a few ways.
The only thing I can think of to get this program installed is to do a complete windows 7 reinstall and that would just be a giant pain.  But still, I paid good money for this product.
I will wait and contact customer support on Monday.

I am a professional photographer of many years standing and at the moment I have a student for 12 months, who I am teaching how to use various Adobe programs, but to introduce her to video editing, I have purchased Adobe Premier Elements 13 which is less complicated than the Premier Pro that I use. The program works perfectly, except for one thing.... when adding a title to the short video sequence we are working with, if I use a particular font (Metallophile Sp8) which I obtained from my Adobe Typekit, it crashes the program,.... all other fonts work perfectly....can anybody help me please?

    clivephoto
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running on? And what video card/graphics card does this computer use?
From your description, can I assume that this Mettallophile Sp8 font is being recognized by Premiere Elements 13 to the extent
that it can be seen and remains seen in Titler's list of font choices - even after the crashes?
If you opened a new project, imported nothing, and created a text title in the Titler with this Mettallophile Sp8 font, does the program crash?
Please review the following which discuss fonts and Premiere Elements and determine if anything in it helps.

I want to create a HD disc with my Adobe Premier Elements but I am getting low resolution.  When I go to share the DVD to disc the form only offers 8pixels at the bottom.  How do I burn this DVD in HD with higher number of pixels?  I have read other forums on burning HD DVD's but I do not see the option to turn the 8 pi into 40 pi the one forum recommended.  I want my DVD to be HD so I may sell these videos online for my business.  I can't sell them the low quality they are burning now.  Hopefully you can help me.  Thanks.

    desalvom
    Thank you for your reply.
You cannot burn your high resolution video that you can view on your computer to an AVCHD on DVD disc
that will replay through a regular DVD player. But players are marketed under a variety of names with
different support opportunities. One manufacturer may call its product MultiMedia Player, media player, Blu-ray player,
etc.The bottom line is the specifications for each of the players that are candidates for the playback of
the AVCHD format on DVD disc or the format of interest.
If you upload your HD (1920 x 1080) video to YouTube, YouTube converts the video to flash format, but it goes up as the HD video.
But, beware. Look at the YouTube viewing setting when your uploaded video is playing back. The YouTube default is not
HD. It might be 360p, 480p. If you have a 1080p video, then before the YouTube playback, you should be looking
at the video with the YouTube 1080p HD setting for best viewing. That is a YouTube matter.
    Best results depend on you
    a. setting up the Premiere Elements project preset to match the properties of the source media. That means, if
you have 1080p source, you (manually) or the project (automatically) set the project preset at
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR [email protected]
or the PAL counterpart, depending on your region need.
    b. if you upload your video to YouTube using the Premiere Elements feature, there is a HD preset, but you cannot
customize it.....if you need customization, then you can export your Timeline to a file...in this example
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080p30 or PAL counterpart
and then customize the preset under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset. In increase quality, you might look to increase
the Bitrate under Advanced Button/Video Tab settings - without compromising the file size.
Then you would upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
All of the above are factors that need looking into in order to determine the why for what you wrote
I have published a shortened advertisement video to YouTube- say 5 minutes-
    and it is low quality
Often SD video upscaled to HD can present poorly. But, you are dealing with a HD workflow so that should not be introduced into the matter. The setup of the project and
the properties of the source video are important, but let us start with the above and rule in or out those considerations first.
Thank you. As always, any clarification needed, please do not hesitate to ask.
