Using af:selectrangechoicebar without af:table
using jsf/adf bc. I've got a tabular display need, but don't want to use the af:table component, mostly due to the look and feel limitations. So, i'm using the af:iterator tag in conjunction with some of the table tags (table, tr, td) from the html layout library to get the look and functionality i want. however, i would like to make use of the af:selectrangechoicebar component to control displaying the range of records in my table. i've "hooked" the rangebar component up to the same collection model that i'm iterating thru to display data, and everything seems to work ok. For example, i've got the rows attribute set to 3 so that 3 rows will display at one time. When first entering this page, there are 3 records in the table, so the rangebar piece displays as "1 to 3 of 3", with the previous and next links disabled. When a new row is created/inserted into this table, the rangebar piece recognizes this, and displays "1 to 3 of 4", now with the 'Next' link enabled
to view the 4th record. the problem is that when i select the 'Next' link, i'm still seeing the first 3 records. i tried to put a panelgroup component around this table component and set it's partialtriggers attribute to the id of the rangebar component, so that when the 'Next' link was selected, the table would display the new range of records, but it doesn't work. How can i get the table to refresh its display when the range links are clicked? There seems to be some kind of disconnect between my af:selectrangechoicebar component and the table display. Thanks.
Hi,
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/tagdoc/core/selectRangeChoiceBar.html
" Events Clicking on either the Previous or Next buttons or selecting an option from the choice will deliver a RangeChangeEvent to the server."
check what it say about the rangeChangeListener. I assume that you need to query the next range manually in this case

Hi All,
I need to get the "Creation Script" of the existing table using c# and without using SMO dlls (is it possible? I don't know).
I.e. In SQL Management Studio -> right click on any table -> Script table as -> Create To - > open in the new query editor window. This will give you the schema of the table with the constraints of the table.
For E.g. In Northwind database, for the table "Categories", I would like to get it as show below
USE [Northwind]
GO
SET ANSI_NULLS ON
GO
SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
GO
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Categories](
[CategoryID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
[CategoryName] [nvarchar](15) NOT NULL,
[Description] [ntext] NULL,
[Picture] [image] NULL,
CONSTRAINT [PK_Categories] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
[CategoryID] ASC
)WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
) ON [PRIMARY] TEXTIMAGE_ON [PRIMARY]
GO
I would like to get the same schema using c#. Please help.
Thanks & Regards,
Kalai.SMO is the easiest way to get this. This is what Management Studio uses. If you can't use SMO, get a Profiler trace of the queries that SMO executes when generating the script and execute the same using ADO.NET.

Is it possible to use u2018CALL TRANSACTIONu2019 without a BDC table ?
THANKSHi,
Yes you can,
CALL TRANSACTION ta { [AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN] .
This addition suppresses the display of a screen of the initial dynpro of a called dialog transaction. The addition AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN suppresses the first screen under these prerequisites:
For the initial dynpro, in the Screen Painter the own dynpro number must not be specified as the next screen number.
All mandatory input fields of the initial dynpro must be filled completely and with the correct values by the SPA/GPA parameters
If these prerequisites are met, that screen of the dynpro is displayed that is specified in the Screen Painter as the next dynpro of the initial dynpro.

Hello All,
We are working on a project where we are analysing the pros and cons of using SQL Named Queries Vs Named Queries defined in Java.
Can we define a Toplink Descriptor without a table definition (None of the fields are mapped). I was able to generate Deployment XML file, but the application failed at runtime saying "Descriptor must have a table name defined"
Also, if ever that was possible, what are the implications of not mapping the the object to a table and just having Named SQL queries directly load into the Java objects.
How do the update, insert and delete work in this scenario?
Has anyone tried Custom SQLs/ SQL Named Queries?
Thanks,
NeerajYou need to map a class to a table. But, it doesn't have to be a "real" table. You can just fake one in the Mapping Workbench, and then if all your SQL overrides don't actually use that Table, no problems. We need to map to a table - if anything - to have a place to store column names that can be used to map the results of the SQL to the attributes in the class. I see this kind of thing when people want to map classes to stored procs. They fake a table in the MW, map the class to it, and then in all the CRUD overrides they put their stored proc calls and the results from the stored procs need to have "column" names that match those in the fake table.

Designer generating CG_REF_CODES inserts without the table name.
We have upgraded our repository from 9i to 10g and now when we generate DDL we get our insert statements for the CG_REF_CODES table without a table name. I am sure that this must be a setting somewhere but I can't find any reference to it in the help. The following is an example of the generated .avt file from our 10g installation.
Thanks in advance,

/Sounds like a bug to me, but one thing you can check is the generator options that affect the reference code table. In the Design Editor select your application in the navigator, then the Options menu. Select "Generator Options...", then "General..."
One thing you might fool with is the File Name Length restriction - mine is blank, but then I tend not to use CG_REF_CODES, so I haven't generated them for quite a while. Try setting it to 30, which would be the right number for Oracle, or to 0, which is supposed to mean "no restriction". -

Grey out screen Fields after entering input using F4 help without an enter code
Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where we want the Input field on a dialog box screen to be greyed Out as soon as the user enters an
input in the respective field using F4 help without processing an ok code in PAI .
Hence we want to achieve a secured input feature that prevents user from altering the values coming from check table.

MudassarPlease post DDL, so that people do not have to guess what the keys, constraints, Declarative Referential Integrity, data types, etc. in your schema are. Learn how to follow ISO-11179 data element naming conventions and formatting rules. Temporal data should
use ISO-8601 formats. Code should be in Standard SQL as much as possible and not local dialect.
This is minimal polite behavior on SQL forums.
Since SQL is a database language, we prefer to do look ups and not calculations. They can be optimized while temporal math messes up optimization. A useful idiom is a report period calendar that everyone uses so there is no way to get disagreements in the DML.
The report period table gives a name to a range of dates that is common to the entire enterprise.
CREATE TABLE Something_Report_Periods
(something_report_name CHAR(10) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY
CHECK (something_report_name LIKE <pattern>),
something_report_start_date DATE NOT NULL,
something_report_end_date DATE NOT NULL,
CONSTRAINT date_ordering
CHECK (something_report_start_date <= something_report_end_date),
etc);
These report periods can overlap or have gaps. I like the MySQL convention of using double zeroes for months and years, That is 'yyyy-mm-00' for a month within a year and 'yyyy-00-00' for the whole year. The advantages are that it will sort with the ISO-8601
data format required by Standard SQL and it is language independent. The pattern for validation is '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-00-00' and '[12][0-9][0-9][0-9]-[01][0-9]-00'

Scrolling Table Rows without scrolling table header
Hi folks,
Is it possible to scroll table rows (top to bottom) without scrolling table header?
I am using table inside a scroll controller with scrolling mode "auto". It scrolls full table along with header.
My requirement is to keep header static and scroll rows beneath same.
Is it possible or any other alternative?
Regards,
Mandeep VirkHello Mandeep,
Which version of NW are you using. In CE version you have table with scrollable rows. In case you want your this requirement to get fuilfill then kindly upgrade to NW CE 7.1 .
In the earler release of NW 2004s this is not possible.
Some days back one had similar problem and he resolved it by using 2 containers. Please search on SDN.
I hope this helps!
Thanks nad Regards

Importing data- using xml file into HANA Table
Hi,
We are using (HDB STUDIO ) - revision 60.......
Is it possible to import data using XML file into HANA table (Master,Fact tables)?
(Without using any intermediate adapters for conversion of data.....)
Can any one suggest us........
Thank you.Hi user450616
I am a bit confused about what you are trying to achieve.
Are you:
1. importing a CSV file into APEX
2. adding an extra column to the Oracle Table
3. populating the extra column with the CSV filename?
Let us know if this is what you are trying to do.
Cheers,
Patrick Cimolini -
how can i use my account without the billing info, as i do not have a credit card. and my shipping and billing info is under US. i'm in singapore. how do i change this?
If you are just visiting Singapore, then leave the account as it is. If you have moved there, then view your account using the iTunes app on a Mac or PC and change the country/region to your current location and address. If you do not have a bank card, you can fund your account using iTunes gift cards if available in Singapore.

Error while insert data using execute immediate in dynamic table in oracle
Error while insert data using execute immediate in dynamic table created in oracle 11g .
first the dynamic nested table (op_sample) was created using the executed immediate...
object is

t_sub_mark is a class of type sub_mark
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE ASI.t_sub_mark is table of sub_mark;
create table sam1(id number,name varchar2(30));
nested table is created below:
begin
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE ' create table '||op_sample||'

end;
now data from sam1 table and object (subject_obj) are inserted into the dynamic table
declare

and got the below error:

then when we tried to insert the data into the dynam_table with the subject_marks object as null,we received the following error..
execute immediate 'insert into '||dynam_table ||'
(SELECT887684 wrote:
ORA-00904: "SUBJECT_OBJ": invalid identifier
ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically. -

How can we change the password in the iBook donated to our nonprofit? No password was given with the iBook and every time we try to install items, the password window pops up. We need to put in printer and other software. Help! We can use the laptop without changing the password.
If you did not get an OS X install-restore DVD with the computer you may need
to buy one from somewhere, and you may be lucky to get a retail OS X 10.5.x
version. The original grey-label install set of software and OS X it shipped with
likely would be an older system than Leopard 10.5. Last versions of G4 Mac, &
G5, shipped with a Tiger 10.4 system; so did early Intel-based Mac. Grey discs
which accompanied other computer build models generally do not interchange.
The last OS X version a PowerPC architecture can use, if supported, is 10.5.8.
A PPC processor at 867MHz & faster should be able to run OS X 10.5 Leopard.
{With the correct disc installer, you can use it to change a password and other
things including re-install, and perform disk utility functions, etc.}
There is a chance you may be able to get a white-label Replacement 10.4 DVD
or Replacement 10.5 DVD from AppleCare or the online Apple Store (800myapple)
from a Mac OS X system specialist; these have been available yet hard to get
as not all persons involved with them seem to know if they still exist until someone
is asking. These aren't retail stock, are special discs for computers who could use
a system later than original old discs; these are complete install discs not for one
specific series of Mac. Generally they'd work in supported PowerPC G4/G5; but
do not replace specialized original install DVD, such as an early Intel mac requires.
You'd need to have a serial number of the computer, and a method of payment
when seeking some replacement system media from Applecare or Apple sales
and these discs are not available in a retail store. The original Retail discs are
labeled differently and shipped in a retail box with a big X on the front. Other
sources for retail 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard may be online via amazon sellers
or computer resellers who handle repaired Macs. Avoid mystery grey label ones
that were intended to be sold and kept with their original computer kits.
Good luck!
