Using albums to share photos

I need to share photographs in an online photography class I am taking by setting up an album and giving the class access to look at them with an URL link. Can I do this using Photoshop Elements?

Try www.adoberevel.com.
I also like www.dropbox.com. This really works well for me with my IPad.

I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

  • HT201317 Can the other person in my Shared Photo Stream share photos to me as well as I to them?

I have a Shared Photo Stream set up with my friend. We're both connected to Wifi but only I (the one who created the album) can share photos. Is there any way that other person can share photos in the Shared Photo Stream as well? We also tried it where my friend invited me to a Shared Photo Stream and we encountered the same results.

In a few months with ios7, according to Apple - yes. But not now. Now they need to share another stream with you.

  • How can I share photo albums from my iPad 3?

I have an iPad 3 and want to share my photo albums either by email. Is that possible?

If you use iCloud and Photo Stream, you can create shared albums in the photos app and share them that way.

  • New IPad mini does not share photos using Photo stream

New IPad mini does not share photos using Photo stream. Turned on sharing on both devices and also setup bluetooth both devices and they are connected. have photos on my mini put does not send to my Mac using photo stream
    Gary

Photo stream doesn't use bluetooth; only wifi.  Photos added to the camera roll on your device are automatically added to photo stream when the camera app is closed, your device is connected to wifi, and it has at least 20 % battery life remaining.  Also, only photos added to the camera roll after enabling photo stream are uploaded, not photos prior to enabling photo stream.  If the photos appear in your my photo stream album on your iPad Mini, then they were successfully added to your photo stream.
To share them with your Mac, your Mac must be running OS X Lion (10.7.4) or higher, and you must have either iPhoto 9.2 or higher or Aperture 9.2 or higher.  If you do, you must sign into your iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud and check Photo Stream in order for the photos to automatically be added to iPhoto (or Aperture).  This is explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.

  • Can't share photos using shared Photo Stream with iCloud Control Panel for Windows

BACKSTORY: My friend took pictures of my family. I want to see the pictures he took. We live about 2.5 hours apart by car. Gas prices are too high for me to just drive down with an external hard drive to get the pictures and I might as well throw my money out the window if I were to ship him a hard drive and he ship it back. SO. I ask him if he would share photos with me and he quickly agreed. He added me to a Photo Stream  he has. ok cool. I recieve the invitation email just fine but this is the error I get when I click on the link:
    ERROR MESSAGE:
    Photo Stream
Follow these steps to join a shared photo stream
1.Make sure you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 6 or a Mac running OS X 10.8.2 withiPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later installed.
    2. Sign in to iCloud on your devices.
    3. Open the invitation email on an updated device and tap the Join this Photo Stream button.
    WHAT I NEED:
How can I view shared photo streams using iCloud Windows control panel 2.1.2.0? How can I work around this error message? I don't own any of these products that apple wants me to own in order to view these photos! I don't have the cash to go out and purchase them. What can I do to get "my" photos? Do I have to be signed into my friends apple id to see the shared photos?
    What I've tried:
I already have the icloud control panel installed and updated to the latest version.
I'm signed into iCloud on the control panel. (no apple id password issues)
    I have photo stream checked.
I have my photo stream checked
I have shared photo stream checked.
I have tried copying and pasting the link into the address bars of Safari for Windows, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer,  and Firefox respectively and pressing enter to load. all present the same error message.
I visited iCloud.com to see if there was anywhere to access the shared photo stream there... No option exisits
Checked my photo stream folder in windows explorer. it's completely empty. I haven't put any of my own photos there so nothings missing per se... I just can't see my friends shared photos.
    MY SET UP:
    Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
    4gb of RAM
    iCloud control panel version 2.1.2.0
I don't own any version of Outlook, (if that matters. I doubt that it matters at all in this case.)
I don't have any iOS Devices or a mac capable of 10.8. My MacBook is stuck at 10.6.8. It's a late mid 2008 just before the aluminum unibody computers came out. If I had only waited another month... sigh. Murphy's Law is alive and well.
any sugestions, especially correct answers, are welcome. please help me figure this out. Thanks in advance.

    Hello desert_dweller5,
It sounds like you art trying to access a Shared Photo Stream, but you do not have one of the devices to enable your Apple ID as an iCloud account.  The following article provides information on how Shared Photo Streams work:
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
The article states that for privately Shared Photo Streams to work, the recipient will not only have to have an Apple ID, but it will have to be an iCloud account:
Friends and family with iCloud accounts can view your photos in the Photos app on any device using iOS 6 or later; on a Mac in iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later; on a Windows PC with Windows Vista or later and iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed; or on a second generation or later Apple TV with software version 5.1 or later installed. They can also view your photos on the web if you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your Shared Photo Stream.
Since you do not have an iCloud account and just and Apple ID, your friend can share the photo stream as a public website so that you can view it, as stated in the same article:
Can I share with people who don't have an iCloud account?
Yes. If you enable Public Website in the settings or options for your shared photo stream your photos will be published to a website that anyone can view in an up-to-date web browser.
To be able to change an Apple ID to an iCloud account, you would need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later as stated in the following article:

  • Can you share photos between machines that use the same wifi network? Thanks for your help.

Can you share photos on i-photo between machines that use the same network or even between different accounts on the same machine? I know you can share music on i-tunes but can you do the same on i-photo? Thanks for your help.

    Yes.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
You can figure out using it with another machine from that too

I have used the "Share photos as embedded images" feature frequently, but today when I went to use it, it wasn't there, only the option to send email with files attached. How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. Thanks for any suggestions of things to try.

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage.  Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever.  After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed.  They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself.  After that, the pics go over imessage.  My own Iphone didn't have the problem.  We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

  • How can I share photos w/ people for free like using snapfish/kodak gallery

    Hello,
I am new to the world of mac and am having trouble with using i photo. I simply just want to share photos with family and friends like I easily did while using services such as snapfish or kodak gallery. Can this be done? I tried iweb and I'm confused. Also, if I can't do this from iphoto and want to continue using snapfish...if I try to upload photos form their website, it gives me two choices when I'm at iphoto...modified and original photos and I can't seem to have the photos I edited and the originals in one spot. Any help would be appreciated.

    Juliegus
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    1. Don't attempt to access files in the iPhoto Library Folder - it's a good way to damage your library.
    2. Many sites have export plug-ins for iPhoto that will allow you to upload to them directly from within the iPhoto Window - check on the sites you prefer for more information. But, for example, Snapfish has information here:
    http://www1.snapfish.co.uk/helpuploading#quickuploadmac
or you can use an application like PictureSync.
Other than that: There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Elements 11 - Can't share photo via email using Adobe service

Cant share photo email using adobe service.  Looks like it works but it doesnt ever send the email.

    Hi,
Well done for spotting the "New Message" window hiding in the taskbar.
The start position/size of the window can sometimes get corrupted accidentally.
To make it show each time you could try this.
    1) Right click on the second window in the taskbar and select Move
    2) Now use the Up/Down arrows on the keyboard to try and make the window appear
    3) Now try using the mouse to resize the window.
If that doesn't work then we may have to reset your preferences.
In theory, there isn't really a maximum number of photos you can send by e-mail but Service Provides sometimes impose a maximum size for an e-mail of around 10Mb - it can be as low as 2Mb.
If you want to send large files (like RAW files) or a large number of photos, then it may be better to look at something like Dropbox. If you just want friends to look at them then you could use something like Fickr.
If you need further help, please give us the version of elements that you are using.
    Brian
