Using alias for sending email from Microsoft Exchange

Hi there,
I have Exchange 2010 server installed.
There are 5 domains hosted on this server.
I can receive mail if sent fo email@domain1, @domain2 etc...
I cannot send mail using email@domain2 , it always goes out as @domain1
How can I resolve this issue ?

Long standing question as to how to choose the sending domain name as (be default) must be a default set. You can change the default in ESM, but I am guessing you want to allow senders to choose on the fly.

I wanted to know that for sending Email from SAP System (that is via Information broadcasting feature of BW )to Email IDS of individuals do we need to make any configurations on Exchange Server as well or some RFC between Microsoft Exchange Server and BW .I have made all settings for SMTP through SCOT transaction but still not able to send mails.From our Exchange Server,the connector is removed ,do we need to reconnect it for this purpose.kindly please tell me wt all configurations do i need to make on Mail server for sending Emails as iam not able to do the same now.If somebody can send a PDF/Word document in support for the same on my email Id [email protected] ,i shall be highly obliged.Your help shall be appreciated ,kindly revert at earliest.

Components required for sending Email from SAP [Kernel Release 46D]?

Hi All,
Can somebody please tell me the components and the Configuration settings required for sending Emails from SAP system[Kernel Release 46D] to the mail server[Win NT] using SMTP.
From note 455127, I understood that "Sap Internet Mail Gateway" is required and there are other settings to be done. (SAPconnect with RFC can only be used as the Kernel version is 46D)
It will be great if somebody can explain me in simple steps if He/She has done this before.

sendmail comes with UNIX OS, there are versions of sendmail programs available for Windows too, but i guess you have to purchase them.
Another alternative is a discontinued product called SAP Exchange connector, if you have a Windows environment and MS Exchange server as your mail server, you could use a SAP exchange connector and get your SAP Email config done.

I have microsoft exchange server and I want to read emails from microsoft exchange server. There is no POP3 server. So is it possible?
If it is possible to read emails from microsoft exchange server then please give me some idea.

I got ur document ,it was very helpful.Actually though i have already done most of these steps but i did all these steps all over again.Have u already made configuration for BW Information Broadcasting on your side because although i have done all these steps but wt happens is that the mails get collected in the SOST transaction and iam still not able to send mails and the error displayed is as :
Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to Connection Error .
Kindly please revert back to this error at earliest.

Can't send emails through microsoft exchange

I can receive emails through microsoft exchange, but will not allow me to send. I get a pop up that says Cannot Send Mail, An error occured while delivering this message.
I know other people in my company can send emails. I also have tried restoring the phone and reloading the email still nothing.

There are a few other guys in the office that have Iphone 4S as well and dont have this issue. Everything works great except sending emails thats where the block is happening.

Do you have Outlook 2003 as well as Word 2003?
Do you use it or Windows Mail for your email?

I need to configure exchange account (2007) such that I can send a mail from my Exchange account but at the receiver end it looks like it was sent from ([email protected]).
Both the accounts are my accounts.
I need this because I do not have access to my Gmail account from place where I access the internet and I need to send the mails from my Gmail account only.

So you want to spoof your e-mail address.
You can make your Exchange server send as any address you want. Just create a different mailbox with that address as the primary (reply) address. It has to be a different account.
However, be aware that many systems to which you send such mail to will bounce it as suspected spam because they'll detect that your server is sending mail from Gmail but your server is not Gmail.

Using Hotspots for sending email

Hi all.
Its been a while since i've used Dreamweaver and i'm currently using CS4.
I love the hotspots feature and has come in very usefull, but I wonder if there is a way of using this for emails, instead of the mailto:[email protected] method? Can CS4 Hotspots allow for this?

#1 I wouldn't build my entire site around hotspots. They're not user friendly for translators, screen readers and humans who can't detect images. For best results, you should use text links styled with CSS. Using MTA SDK for sending emails

Hi,
After taking a look to the MTA SDK documentation I still have a key question.
My program needs to send emails to an existent SMTP server - Sun Messaging Server - running in a different box. Can I use MTA to send those emails? I read in several places "Callable Send" can be used only for sending messages from local host, so I'm not sure in my case it can be done.
If it's possible, I'd appreciate any sample of how to do it.

Yeah, I know I need to send the message connecting to Sun MTA but I don't know how. Actually, I know I can use a SMTP client but I'd need to use a third-party library (or build it by my own). I can't use mailx or sendmail from my application. I wouldn't have much control over its execution and each mail submit would mean a context change in my application. I need some kind of API for doing it programatically.
My question is: what is the MTA SDK for? I know I can send/receive messages but I can't understand why I can't do it from remote. As far as I can understand, it seems like MTA SDK works directly with the same local resources Sun MTA server is using, right?

Sending Email From Mobile Phone

So I have Postfix working great and I've always used webmail if I needed to send email from PC's outside of $mynetworks. So fast forward to today where I got my 1st Android powered mobile phone and I can configure the Android mail client to send/receive IMAP email but my question is do I need to become an open relay to allow my random wireless providers dynamic range of IP's to send mail via Postfix? Seems extremely vulnerable and scary to think I would have to allow my providers IP range to relay mail via my MTA. I started reading a bit and I think I need SASL authentication (correct me please if I'm wrong) and since both Postfix 2.8.1 & Dovecot 2.0.11 are configured / using TLS, is there anything else I would need beyond SASL or that you recommend for sending email from my Android powered mobile?

I'm in the same boat, except that I don't have a smartphone yet - but I'm already outlining the changes to my soho-network.
I guess you have to secure the mailserver (using SSL + TLS looks ok to me) and also secure the server as a whole: configure iptables to lock it down completely, except for as little ports as necessary: IMAPS and SMTPS, maybe even on an other-than-default port...
Maybe you are also interested in syncing your calendar: I will be doing that with davical on my server (running for 2 years now) and acal on my Android smartphone: no syncing, but native caldav between server and smartphone...
The other option would be to install openvpn on your server and always work via your VPN.
