Using alternative xorg config script?

I've installed Starcraft Broodwar and it works just fine, but I can only run it in windowed mode which can get a little bit annoying after a while.
I've read that you can get it to run in fullscreen if you change your resolution to 640x480.
The thing is that I'm running a dual monitor setup, and I can't set it to such a low resolution it seems.

Anyone got a nice script that I can run to use another xorg config (with 640x480 set and no twinview options), run starcraft with, and when closing it maybe going back to the old xorg.conf, if it's possible to do this

Thanks, I got it to work like you said. The only problem is that when I exit starcraft, I'm stuck in the 640x480 resolution, and trying to issue
chgres set 2560x1024@135000 (default one) gives me an error.

Issues using multiple load-config files with ant

Not sure if this is the correct place...
I am creating an ant build script to compile our flex application. I am trying to use the default flex-config by doing <load-config filename="${flex.sdkPath}/frameworks/flex-config.xml"/> and project specific config file add the datavisualization module and any other libraries we might need in the future. I am trying to do this as I don't want to modify the flex-config.xml
The issue I keep running into is I get a compiler error saying "unable to locate specified base class 'spark.comonents.application..". if I place the custome load-config file above the adobe default flex-config it gives errors stating it the "SeriesSlide" type

It seems to be that the first "load-config" ant runs into is the only one that gets used. When looking around the internet I have multiple cases of where people say they have successfully used multiple load-config files.

If I had to guess on what was wrong I believe my FB-config.xml file is incorrect but I can't find an example of anyones custom configuration file.
Any guidance would be apprecaited.

I am embarrassed to say that your solution answered my question.
I was about 10 min away from rewriting my Ant script to just use the mxmlc.exe directly instead of the mxmlc ant tag. I kept running into the -flex-config+=YourConfig.xml for the command line option but never saw the xml variant.

Xorg config wireless keyboard

Anybody configaration so that my box will recognise a wireless key board.
Also is there a default xorg.config I screwed up the name for xorg.config and now it lets me pick a reselution 1680x1050 ??

To install my wireless keyboard all I had to do was plug in the usb thingy (it had the normal thingies but using them didn't work)

Perl Scripting - Is it an alternative to shell scripting?

I am new to Oracle. I am trying to learn the basic concepts
I read that PERL is a server side scripting language.
I understand the purpose of shell scripts. I come across terms PERL shell scripts.
I understand PERL interpreter comes with UNIX.
1. So, is scripting using PERL an alternative to shell scripting? or
Does it have a different purpose?
2. If an alternative, then when would PERL scripting be better than shell scripting or vice versa ?
3. If an alternative, can PERL be exclusively used replacing shell scripting or as mentioned in my 2nd question used based on the application.

Yes, if you are proficient with Perl, you can use perl to script DBA scripts. Perl is more powerful than shell script. So there's nothing Perl can't do that shell can, there are many things Perl can, regular shell can't.
The limitation is some company has tight policy on installing non-default software on servers, especially production high security servers.

Like said, Perl has many useful functions and modules. With DBD/DBI module and string processing power (Regular Expression etc), Perl is very popular tool for dataloading scripts as well as phyton.
Perl and Phyton are also heavy used for CGI application and much more.

Go to Transaction SE80, Select Program and paste that program name below..
Then drop down the tree of that program...then you will find option " Dict. Structures"..
Here you can find the tables which has been you for that transaction / program.

Using a UNIX shell script to run a Java program (packaged in a JAR)

I have an application (very small) that connects to our database. It needs to run in our UNIX environment so I've been working on a shell script to set the class path and call the JAR file. I'm not making a lot of progress on my own. I've attached the KSH (korn shell script) file code.

Not authorized to use the UME config editor

Hello Experts,
we are running on EP7.0 (ABAP+ JAVA). we used client 100 for UME and it's working fine.
now we have to move UME client from 100 to 120. after doning this changes i am able to login in to the portal but
when logging on to the UME application, we get an error message of 'You are not authorized to use the UME config editor.' and 'error occurred contact your system administrator.

I guess you logged in as j2ee_admin.
"J2ee_admin" user should be assigned to "Administrators" group.
Assign it,logoff and login to the portal again,now try to edit UME properties.

[Solved] How to adjust parameters of an SSIS package in SQL Server when using an SSISDB execution Script (=SP)

Hello,
I created a package in Visual Studio Integration Services, where it runs successfully.
I then deployed it to SQL server 2012. Here to it runs successfully, too.
Then I changed the script in that I exchanged two variables for two parameters - doing the same thing.
I noticed that in VS no dialog window comes up where I could change the value of the parameters; here obviously I am expected to set them in Visual Studio.
However, in SQL Server 2012 the dialog window does come up when I execute the package. I can then change the value of my two parameters and the package runs OK, giving me the expected results.
Now I created a script in SQL Server from which to execute the package. Do I have to change the script every time when I want it to run with different values for the parameters?
So far I have not even found how to feed different values for the parameters into the package by using the script. Or could I tell the script somehow to bring up the dialog window for changing the parameters?
How can I set/change the package parameters by using an SSIS execution script in SQLserver?
Or how could I bring up the dialog window thru the script?
Would s.o have an example?
Help is greatly appreaciated.

I found out by myself and leave the answer here should s.b. else wonder about the same issue.
Look at this:

Now, what is important and was not evident to me is:
1) The variable you use for the parameters - here var0 and var1 must match in their data type the corresponding parameter used in the package.
2) The @parameter_name must match the corresponding parameter name in the package.
3) The value that is being passed to the respective package parameter is the value you specify in the Declare statement. So in my case a string x and an int 1 is used.
4) Of course the @object_type must be set to 30 for package parameters
Then the script runs the package with adjusted parameters.
To many this might be evident, to me it was not.

I’m doing a SharePoint development on SharePoint on-line using JavaScript in a Script Editor. I've changed the Calendar NewForm.aspx in SharePoint designer and I should check the Start Date and End date and I should change the procedure of Save button.
The problem is I cannot have the component ID’s. I even tried to create new components and rebuild the form but my script sometimes working and sometimes not working.
I've also tried SharePoint Apps in Visual Studio 2013 and Napa but I have problems accessing SP lists.
Could you please advise me?

Xorg config: Emulate3Buttons, EmulateWheel simulateneously

I just got a Logitech Marble mouse and want to configure it so that simultaneously tapping the left and right main buttons emulates a middle click, and holding these buttons enters scrolling mode.
What I have right now is

Xev says Button 2 is emmitted when I press both left and right (1+3) together, which is fine.
I now get into EmulateWheel mode by holding Button 8. What I want is:
Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2"
But it doesn't work. Although xev still tells me Button 2 was pressed when I press left+right together, I don't get into scrolling mode by holding these.
Any ideas?

Ok, I ran Xorg -config again, and I got a working keyboard/mouse in xterm. If I uncomment the .xinitrc line above that includes "openbox-session" as it's written, I get a frozen pointer in the middle of a black screen — doesn't respond to left or right clicks. However, if I remove the dbus and exit-with-session commands, it works.
It was in the Arch Beginners Guide that I found that little gem. I do plan on running dbus, and standalone openbox... but for now having a usable graphical interface is the main thing. So, again: If anyone has any relevant input to the problem here, I'd appreciate it.

Using FDM Import Action script to import data from ERPI table "tdataseg_t"

I have extracted data from EBS using ERPI and loaded into the intermediate table "tdataseg_t"
I am trying to use Import Action script within FDM to extract data from "tdataseg_t" table (where ERPI extract data is stored) as i could not use the normal import script.
Requirement : I have to restrict the custom 2 dimension based on Account dimension.
Dim Account
Account = ???? ( i am struck here)
If Account = 1000 to 5000 Then
Custom2 = Right( product , 5)
End If
but , I could not find the exact syntax to call the Account dimension from the "tdataseg_t" table.

Hello,
Importing data via a manual script defeats the purpose of ERPi. As it will not provide you an audit trail, drill-through/drill-back, etc.
Your best bet is to use the default settings by the software. Just because it returns more records than you want is not a bad thing. You can conditionally change/alter the information either in an EventScript inside of FDM or by mapping the un-needed information to IGNORE.
