Using American Express Gift Points on iTunes Plus

Have been redeeming Amex points to download songs on iTunes. Does anyone know if this will work with iTunes Plus? What is the advantage of having iTunes Plus, or is it something one doesn't really need? Is there a charge for this? I like getting my songs free with these gift points, but I don't want to have to pay extra for anything!

American Express Points CAN be used for songs only. When upgrading your presently existing Library, iTunes hits your credit card for 30 cents for as many songs that needed upgrading.. Thanks to all who helped.

No. The iTunes stores only accept credit cards or iTunes gift cards as well as PayPal in the US.
Your AMEX card is not a credit card.

I believe u would have to call American Express customer service (number should be on the back of the card) and then get it activated so u can use it online, they then should give u that special code u need, hope that helps!!

How do you redeem a American express gift card

You "SHOULD" be able to use the american express gift card like any other credit card. That said, there may be a problem where the system (itunes store) is unable to verify the card because there is no associated address. If that is the case, and you want to use the funds in iTunes, buy iTunes gift cards with the card (at a physical store like Walmart or BestBuy), and then redeem them. If you check around, you can sometimes find iTunes cards that you can purchase where you pay less than the face value (a $50 card for $45, or similar).

American Express Gift Cards/BestBuy online

This is a strange issue but i hope i can get some help on it. I would like to purchase a Roomba 880. According to you website and my check a the local store, this can only be ordered online and ship to my place which isn't a big deal. The problem i have is i have around 450.00 in American Express Gift Cards and from what i read they have to be manually scanned at the store for the cards to work. So i guess the to questions i have can i go the the Best Buy store and use my American Express GiftCards to buy Best Buy gift cards and then use them to order the Roomba online or can i go to the store and order the Roomba to be shipped to my place but pay for it at the store using the giftcards.

Welcome to the forum. No question is too strange for us. I can imagine it would be a little difficult to determine how you can purchase the Roomba if American Express gift cards cannot be used online, and I would be happy to help you figure this out.
I recommend visiting your local store where you can purchase Best Buy gift cards to order it online. You can also inquire if they can order it for you to avoid any further hassle. Please let me know if you encounter any problems or have any further questions.

There's a difference between an iTunes gift certificate and an iTunes gift card. The Apple Gift Card FAQ specifically says:
"Can I use the Apple Gift Card to purchase an iTunes Music Store Gift Card? What about an iTunes Music Store electronic gift certificate?"
"Apple Gift Cards can be used to purchase an iTunes Music Store Gift Card. However, Apple Gift Cards can't be used to purchase iTunes Music Store electronic gift certificates."

Why can't I authorize paypal for iTunes store with american express

Can not make a payment using paypal after canceling the agreement in paypal by accident. iTunes is not allowing me to create a new agreement with paypal and giving me this error message when I try: You may not use American Express to fund this payment. Please add a different type of card or use a bank account."!!!
There is a balance in the paypal account, and as I understand it the problem is that Apple (iTunes) does not want to create the agreement while the backup to the backup funding method is American Express!!! PLEASE HELP ME PAY YOU.

Sorry, but Paypal is not available as a purchase option in the Netherlands nor, to the best of my knowledge, anywhere other than the US. Why this is, no one here knows or can say.

Burn limits in itunes plus

I am a newbie and confused!! It says no burn limits and it says burn identical playlists up to seven times! I'm still confused! Help! The way I read it is as long as you keep your music in purchased and don't put them in a playlist you have no burn limits.

ITunes Plus EULA - Same old restrictions?

I don't usually read over EULAs with a fine tooth comb, and I am not a lawyer, but there is something fishy about the EULA. Specifically you get a DIFFERENT EULA when you click on the Printable version link. Here is the Usage Rules from the printable version link.
