Using an application

I have a mac mini running maverics. I down loaded an application 'OnTarget' and tried to run it. I get the of;;owing message 'can't open due to unidentified developer' but it used to run on snow leopard. What can I do to make this run?

Control-click it and choose Open. Alternatively, open the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, click on the General tab, unlock the pane, and set it to allow applications from anywhere.

Report Generation for Excel does not work after using the Application Builder

I have a VI that writes data to an Excel file using the Report Generation Toolkit. I recently compiled the VI into a single Application (EXE) using the Application Builder. My VI runs its tests properly, but no data is written to Excel. What could be the cause? I don't receive any error messages.

I usually build exe-files, which sometimes also have report functionality.
Open the Application Builder and check the following things:
1. Add the following vis: _Word Dynamic VIs.vi, _Excel Dynamic VIs.vi They should be located in the directory ..\LabVIEW X.X\vi.lib\addons\_office in the llbs _wordsub.llb and _exclsub.llb (report1.jpg)
2. If you use an Installer, go to the Advanced Settings. There you can select some things to include in the Installer. Check if "NI Reports Support" is selected. (report2.jpg)
These are the things I always do, if I need reports and I never had problems up to now. I made two screen-shots of these settings.

How can i get user to use my application without logging on as a developer?

Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction of information regarding allowing users to be pointed straight to an application on apex. Curently i log in via the apex.oracle.com home page use my database name then my username and password. But that only gets me in i want to allow user to be able to view and use the applications. How can i do this? Or is this indeeded possible i would assume that it is.

Another possibility is that if you host it yourself, or go with one of the production hosting companies then they can help you to configure it so that you can point a DNS name (e.g. www.yourapp.com) to point to your application, so that is all your users would need to enter into their browsers.

Ok so I downloaded the most current installer CS5.1, My previous installer was version 5.0. It did install fine fully updated to my license version. I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.

To use Web Application Designer release 2004s do we need to have portals???

I would like some clarity regarding whther we need a portal or not.
If you use Web Application Designer (SAP BW 3.x) it works fine, you can create reports and then it shows in SAP Easy Access under favourites. Executes fine, no portal is used.
Now when I want to use the new Web Application Designer I can not execute the reports. Gives me error
"Java communication error: RFC destination NOT_CONFIGURED does not exist", the window it appears in has a text saying it can't conect to the portal. Then notes that I look at regarding this seems that the connection between SAP BW and Portal must be set up.
So can please someone tell me whether you need the portal to use the new Web Application Designer release 2004s

After installing an application that was created using the Application Builder

After installing an application that I created using the Application Builder I get this error if I try to run " ANY " LabVIEW App's that I have built. "Executable Version 7.1.1 doesn't match Resource File 7.1. Check your configuration."
The way that I tried to fix this is to reload LabVIEW 7.1 and DAQmx 8.0. I am using two NI-6528 switch cards.
After I reload LabVIEW and DAQmx I can run my applications but as soon as I install one on this development machine the error begins again.
The executable that I built works fine on the development machine and any other machine that I try it on but it appears that the Run-Time engine 7.1 becomes corrupt after I run setup.exe for the newly created application.
I have built numerous Installers, setup.exe's in the past without this error. Just this latest one caused this problem to start.
I can NOT upgrade to 7.1.1. I am doing work for many different sections of this factory and I can not force them to upgrade. I've asked. Others supply code for the same machines using LabVIEW 7.1.
I am stuck creating executables and manualing moving the correct files to the target machines.
What can be done?

No. The KB article was talking about a machine with 7.1.1 installed. I have LabVIEW 7.1 installed.
The machine that I am having trouble with is my development machine. LabVIEW 7.1, DAQmx 8.0.
If I build the executable all is fine. I can still run old executables including the one I just built.

Finally if you are in a managed environment then please work with your I.T. department to apply the update.

¿Can I still use CC applications after 1 year commitment?

Well, I am almost ready to start an annual subscription for the creative cloud, but I have a question about what will happen after the 1 year commitment:

I moved my applications folder to the desktop, but modified the applications in my dock, and now i have too many copies of the applications folder and cant get rid of them without being unable to use the applications :(

I really don't understand what you're trying to say. If I have a folder in A, and I move it to B, then the folder will be in B. There is no duplication. I still have only one folder, only the location is different.
Furthermore, your desktop is on your hard drive. Everything is on your hard drive.

Error while using Recruitment application in ESS Portal

Hi Experts,
We are facing two issues when we are using recruitment application.
By this applicaton,the concerned can raise a requirement to the recruitment dept.
Some users are uanble to use the application.
After filling the data,some users are getting the error as "Unable to send E mail notification and can not complete action.This activity could not be read.
And another error of the application is after completion of enrtering details some users are getting the error message as " HR Requisition request successfully created with ID XXXXXXXXXX .Request is assigned to NULL.
Kindly help me out for the resolution of the issues.

By this user can raise the requirements in his deprtament and time to be filled.
E mails were already there in in communications infotype.

in BPEL/ ESB
This document will be focusing on Oracle Applications adapter. However Database adapter is much like OA adapter (even OA adapter uses DB Adapter), so the readers who are interested to explore DB adapters, can relate things with this document and go further as well.
Some Guidelines for writing PL/SQL APIs for OA Adapter
As we know when we create a partner link from the OA adapter wizard it sometimes writes some wrapper script supportive to the OA Adapter WSDL which contains below
* Object type for PL/SQL RECORD
* Nested table of the given type for PL/SQL TABLE. For example, the nested table of NUMBER.
* INTEGER substituted for PL/SQL BOOLEAN
* Wrapper Script for converting above three set of data types . (PLSQL to SQL and SQL to PLSQL conversion functions)
In runtime this wrapper script for converting PL/SQL to SQL and SQL to PL/SQL is an extra overhead.
So the first advice would be to avoid the use of the below as parameters of PLSQL API being called by OA Adapter.
* PL/SQL RECORD
* PL/SQL TABLE. For example, the nested table of NUMBER.
* PL/SQL BOOLEAN
In other way we can say we should try to use only SQL data types in arguments if we are planning to call any PL/SQL API from the OA Adapter.
If the requirement is to use a table or record uses the Object type. In place of BOOLEAN better to use VARCHAR or INTEGER what ever fulfills your requirement. Following this guideline we can reduce a huge number of Line of codes to be run each time the adapter being called.
Generally, Oracle E-Biz standard APIs use PL/SQL record types and table types so when there is a requirement to call these API’s from OA Adapter (this is a common requirement in development), and if we directly browse the API in OA Adapter Configuration Wizard and create the partner link, again a huge number of code is written by the wizard in the wrapper script (a number of extra mapping of fields which are not being used in the interface).
In this case better would be to create an Object type with only the required fields which are being used in that call and use them as parameters for the PLSQL API.

Error occured while provisioning using Database Application Table connector

I am trying to provision using Database Application Table connector and OIM 10g. Provisioning is successful but the child data is not sitting in the database. Getting the below error

Response Description: Unknown response received

Error Details
Setting task status... "GCPROV.ProvTransportProvider.DBProvisioningTransport.The column key_id does not exist in the target" does not correspond to a known Response Code. Using "UNKNOWN".

Make sure that your DataSource is in running state when you create the connection pool in DBAdapter. You may restart the server or recreate the connection pool in DBAdapter.

Using SharePlus application in the Enterprise

Using a SharePoint deployment for content and collaboration, we needed a way to intuitively interact with this environment on the iPad. Using an application called SharePlus we were able to do this. We had issues with using client certificates on the iOS 4.1 version, which was fixed in 4.2, and had excellant luck with the support channels of the SharePlus application.
Highly recommend this application and configuration if you have similiar needs.

My solution was as follows:
1. In SCCM 2012, I created an application for flash player based on the MSI deployment.
2. Created a second deployment type that executes a .CMD file with the following batch code in it (set dependency pointing to the Flash MSI completing successfully as well):

Note: Completion.flag is merely a text file that gives me an easy way to know if the script finished running or not. I check for it's existence in both locations to consider the process complete.
This has worked for me. The only hangup I had was that I set the MSI verification on the filename of the OCX that the installer puts in the System32 and SysWow64 folders not realizing that the filename is backwards from what I expected. System32 has the "Flash64..." file and SysWow64 has the "Flash32..." file. Goofy, I know.

Help with uploading an excel file to a table using an application

Can anyone please help me out with this issue. I have apex application where in the end users upload an excel file to a table. For this I have followed the solution provided in this link

Using the above solution, I was able to upload the excel data to a table "sample_tbl1" successfully with fields Id,acct_no,owner_name,process_dt. But the thing is I want accomdate a particular condition while uploading the file data, to check see if the acct_no already exists in another table say "sample_tbl2" or not. If acct_nos already exists in sample_tbl2 then give out an error displaying the list of account numbers that already exists in the database. From your code it appears that the account No comes in the second column of the file = > v_data_array(1)
So You can put a conditional block around the execute immediate code that inserts the records
For instance

How to recognize if application is installed using "Install application on remote desktop..." option in Control Panel in Windows Server 2008 R2?
Basically, as administrator, I can't say if the user installed application using "Install application on remote desktop..." in Control Panel or he just installed it by clicking the .msi executable. I can't find anything that makes any difference.
I could not find anything in the registry. I am quite confused.

Please make sure that you are using category view of control panel-programs to check the application. And in addition to “install application on Remote Desktop server” user can also use command line also.
