Using an iPad in Bermuda
Does any one in Bermuda, who is using a Bermuda credit card, find it impossible to register a valid account? I keep getting told that my card is invalid. I have also noted that I get messages telling me that an app is unavailable in Bermuda.
Sorry, but there are no discounts on the iPad from any source. Apple offers no educational discounts on the iPad, and the margins are too small for any dealer that carries the iPad to offer any discount either. In a couple of months or so we may see refurbished units start to appear in the Apple Store, though based on what the iPod touch sells for as a refurbished unit, we'll still probably only see a 10% to 15% discount.
As to other teachers using the iPad, it's pretty new so few people probably have much actual experience using one in the classroom. You might want to contact your local Apple account executive - if your school/district can't give you contact information, you can call Apple (in the US call 800-800-2775), speak to someone in inside sales, and ask. Then contact the account exec and tell them of your interest in being connected to other teachers who are using or considering the iPad for classroom use.

How do I use my iPad as a second screen with my macbook pro?
I've got splashtop streamer for my ipad. In school my computer teacher has two monitors and she is able to drag stuff from one screen to the other. If i was streaming to my ipad, how could i use it as a second screen? and how could I do this with any old monitor?
BTW if you dont know splashtop streamer, it is a software that lets you stream content from a computer or laptop to a wireless device, such as an iPad.Splashtop only has the ability to mirror your Mac's single screen. It does not let your iPad work as a second screen.
You need an app that is designed to turn your iPad into a real second monitor.
I use Air Display to move all of my pallets to one screen when I am working with my graphics programs on my Mac. I keep my iPad connected to my iMac to keep it charged while I am using my iPad in this manner. -
My iPad shows a message "Cannot find AirPrint printer". I used to use my iPad to print materials using HP wireless printer D110. Now it does not want to print. Is this because I am now using IOS 7? What should I do to solve the problem? Help please.

Ok, so I completely feel like this is a stupid question for those of you already in the know and recording tracks onto your Computers DAW from instrument apps on the iPad and other i devices. I can not seem to find out exactly what connector or unit I need to be able to connect and use my ipad as a instrument to record tracks onto logic. I have an ipad2 that I want to connect to my apogee duet 2 interface which is obviously connected to my Mac. I know Logic comes with plenty of drum and synth options but I still want to be able to use beatmaker, jam up pro and the sunrizer synth apps on some of my tracks. I do have the camera conversion adaptors. So my question is, do I just run from the camera adapter in the ipad into the midi port on my apogee interface? (I'm new to and still learning about midi) Or is there a special 30 pin cable I need to get that runs from the ipad into the XLR or quarter inch in the break out cables on the apogee? I did find one cord out there that plugged into the ipad and had left and right XLR connectors but my duets break out cable only has two inputs each is their own channel. Also , if the cable I need isn't midi and does connect to the breakout cables, do I set it as an instrument or as a mic in the apogee software? Or am I completely way off base and needing something different all together. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a fare amount of experience when it comes to recording, set up and the flow of standard instruments, using external hardware and plugins. But the last few weeks I spent a lot of time programming some great beats in beatmaker on my ipad and I want to track them into Logic. It seemed like no matter how I worded the questions when researching what I thought was and should be simple to figure it out, it just took me to answers I wasn't looking for. Thank you ahead of time. Like I said I'm just starting to get out of my comfort zone and learn about midi and the more digital side of things. So sorry about any ignorance concerning that side of things.The new Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac, is compaible with iOS devices and includes a USB Midi input. This sounds like the perfect solution for your workflow.

I cannot use my Ipad because Im getting a pop up asking for my Apple ID password but when I enter it the pop up just keeps coming back and doesn't go away. It pops up every second it doesn't let me do anything on my Ipad not even turn on WiFi! The account and pasword are correct in fact I can use them fine on my Iphone. I have tried restarting my Ipad and turning it of, it doesn't work! What is happening and what can I do to fix it?
Same problem for me.
1. Cannot connect to wifi as icloud password pop up keeps appearing.
2. tried deleting account. UNable to do so.
3. tried resetting password by logging into apple id through desktop as mentioned in one of the responses in another thread. Unfortunately the apple id to be reset is the same as being prompted by icloud and hence unable to reset the same.
Feel like breaking the **** ipad into bits. Stupid of apple to let such a bug in and not offer support !! -

No, but you do not need iTunes to setup a new iPhone 5s. Create an iCloud backup for anything you want to transfer to the new iPhone.

When using my ipad air it keeps coming off the page I'm on or app I am using and going back to the home screen. Also when using my ipad the screen will go white with a black apple icon in the middle for about 20 seconds then it makes a ping sound and goes to the home screen. Could anyone help please. So when I try to plug in My iPhone 4 to any plug it won't turn on or charge unless if I use an iPad charger. When I do get to turn it on. My Phone will Standby for a few seconds( While I'm Typing my 4-Digit Code) then it'll unlock and go to the home screen. Once I'm on the home Screen I can't Call, Text or Email anyone because my iPhone Can't detect any Wifi Hotspots and it also can't connect to my Service Provider, It'll just Say "Searching...". The non-internet apps work perfectly fine. So since I was able to use Just an iPad Charger to turn on my iPhone 4, I tried a Regular iPhone charger that were plugged into a wall or my computer. When its Plugged in, my iPhone will turn on ( Showing the Apple Logo) then turn back off. It'll constanly do this only when it's plugged into a Regular iPhone Charger, Either plugged into a Wall Socket or my Computer. So I Tried to Restore the Phone by using some of the Methods, given by other iPhone 4 Users, non of them worked. My iPhone won't Restart, Restore, Turn on without a Charger, Be Detected on my Computer and Detect my Service Provider. I really need help to fix my iPhone 4. I'm really not sure if it's a Malfunction with the Software on the iPhone, if my Sim Card is Broken. if the System is Corrupted but it only happens Rarely.

Unable to delete email from trash bin. How do I do this? If I select and chose delete, it doesn't. What am I doing wrong? My grand daughte is using my iPad and I don't want her to see some of the mail there.
There are two ways that should work. When you are in the trash folder, you can swipe on the email in the list - left to right - and a red Delete button should pop up. Or you can select - Edit - at the top of the list of messages and then select the message and tap delete.
Not sure exactly how this works - but if you have restrictions enabled - especially since you let your grandchild use the device - that may be restricting what you can do in the mail app. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions. If you have it set to on - turn it off or see if you have mail restricted. -

Yes. It's the same as connecting from an iPod touch or iPhone.
Logmeinigniton or teamviewer are a few of the apps you can use.
Teamvewer has free app and you can see if it does what you want. -
I want to use an IPad (w/retina display-newest) in my church hooked up to a projector
I want to use an IPad (w/retina display-newest) in my church hooked up to a projector and shown on a screen. I'd like to do it wirelessly as the projector will be installed in the ceiling. I am not sure exactly what I would need to get this set up. I do not have wifi at church or cellular but would be getting the iPad (not yet purchased) with wifi only. If I use Apple TV to hook up the projector to, would it need wifi to work if I will only be using the ipad for documents, worksheets (much like what a school/professor would use) or other things that an app could do (draw a line, etc.)
Epson projectors have such a feature, so if you're going to buy a new projector, you might start with their units. The app is described here:

and there's a projector compability list linked from the very bottom of the page. There may be other projector manufacturers with similar apps, but I don't know for sure. All will probably also require a local WiFi network set up, though said network should not need Internet access if that's an issue for you.

perhaps, but my information was current. I had the same question and was looking for and answer and found it. So I responded in order to help others who found this question and were looking for an answer. This community is made more helpful and kept current by adding new answers with current information.
imobl... air display was a valid response for 2011 predating the question. Also using Monitor2go was valid in 2012. There were USB mirroring and as a 2nd display for an iPad options at the time the original question was asked. -

I am using my Ipad on a remote craftshow site and am having problems with battery lasting 8 hrs. Can I use a 12v rv battery to recharge it or at least maintain the charge over longer periods of time? I have a dc adapter. thanks
You should be able to use the battery if you get a car type charger which recharges mobile devices.
The full size iPads use a 10-12W charger, whereas the mini uses a 5W charger. Many car chargers only supply 5W. But at 5W, the car charger should give you some extra time on your iPad. It would be best to use a 10-12W car charger.

Can't delete favorites in SMC Fan Control
Title says it. For some reason, when I try to delete I get the popup asking if I'm sure. No matter if I click Yes or No, the program will quit, and upon restarting the favorite hasn't been removed. What gives?!
