Using an iPod nano while mowing the grass?

What's the best iPod holder and earphones for use while mowing the grass with a self-propelled push mower?
Right now I'm using the enclosed iPod earphones, which have no external noise suppression and I'm simply putting the ipod in my pocket, which makes controlling it difficult. Plus, my earphones are frequently getting yanked out because of the hanging cord.

You can always update your version of iTunes to 4.9 or 5.0 and it won't affect your existing playlists, song ratings, or anything. I started with 4.7 and got each updated version of iTunes as it came out thru 5.0 and I never lost any songs, data, or had to rebuild a playlist.

iTunes treats each iPod separately. Each one is listed separately in iTunes, even if you have BOTH connected at the same time. Select one iPod and set it up as desired. Select the other iPod and set it up as desired.

Yes. All previous generations of your iPods should still work with the latest version of iTunes.

There is not. It can only be on for a set amount of time.

I use an iPod nano 5th generation. I have had it for 2 years now and then after about a year when I plugged in my iPod to my computer, the iPod is read but the tab where I would always go that showed my list of artists to sync to my iPod does not show up

I use an iPod nano 5th generation. I have had it for about two years now and after about one year, I plugged in my iPod into my computer to sync more music. Here is the problem: The tab where you go to sync music to your iPod and shows the list of artists and songs you want to sync to the iPod, the tab I can get to but the list of songs and artists does not show up and the only way I can sync music to my iPod is to basically wipe my iPod and start from scratch. Obviously, I do not want to do that because I do not have all the songs in my library that I have on my iPod. I have uninstalled iTunes and then re-installed it, but it did not work and I do not know what else to do. I would really appreciate helpful guidance to get it fixed if it can be fixed. They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod.

No. I'm sorry. But, i think it uses the headphones as an antenna so it has to be plugged in to headphones in order to make it work. but, it burns the battery down so i don't use the radio function that much.

However, you should almost fully discharge and fully charge the battery monthly otherwise you will degrade the battery.

What do you mean it isn't' compatible? What isn't compatible?
There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or iTunes account. Simply connect each separate iPod/iPhone to your computer and configure each to sync whatever content you wish to.

I have a MAC OS X at home and a PC with Windows XP at work. I have been using my Ipod Nano at home for quite a lon time, but I have tried to use it at work for the first time.
However, when I try to see the music content on my PC, it says that my Ipod is formatted for MAC and that I need to reformat it if I want to use it with the PC.
The problem is that if I reformat it, I will lose all its content and I am afraid to be obliged to reformat it when I want to connect it to my MAC again.
How can I do to be able to use my Ipod with my MAC and with my PC?

If your iPod is formatted for Mac it won't run natively on a PC because the Windows OS does not support the HFS Plus file system and therefore will not see the drive. Macs can read Windows drives so you could restore and format the iPod on a PC. Strictly speaking using a Windows formatted iPod on a Mac isn't supported however many people use one without any issue. iTunes will allow you to use an iPod formatted for Windows on a Mac; however, Apple currently only supports using the iPod shuffle in FAT32 format on Mac. Alternatively there are third party programs that will allow you to use a Mac formatted iPod on Windows, this is one for instance gets good reviews: XPlay 2
