Yes, just turn DATA OFF (or put it in airplane mode to turn Data/Voice off) to avoid data charges. Then turn wifi on when available.
You can definitely take as many pictures with your Trophy as you'd like at no cost to you. It would be best to turn the data off so you won't have roaming charges. I would also like to just add this link that gives you the International Data Roaming Rates

View cameras on Android phone using IP Cam Viewer

I use IP Cam Viewer to view my Internet cameras on my Android mobile phone. I have a Droid phone and WVC80N cameras, and this app works great. (I select "Linksys WVC Series" in the setup.) It supports a lot of other types of Internet cameras too. You can get it on the Android Market. The developer actively updates the app and seems very responsive to questions and requests. This application also has a Widget for your desktop on the android. You can setup the widget to feed a certain type of camera, etc. In a recent update, the Cisco/Linksys PVC300 camera was added under the LINKSYS category, and it works great. This is a nice PTZ camera from Cisco SMB. I have a total of 8 cameras in my IPCam Viewer application, it's really one of the BEST camera apps I've used and the PT control using your finger to swipe in the direction you wish to view is great!
So far I have it working on these following cameras:
PVC300
WVC54GCA
WVC80N
WVC210
PVC2300
In most cases, try the WVC series when adding a Linksys camera, and adding select the PVC300 if you have that specific camera. Let's hope he adds support for the newer Cisco cams VC220 etc...

Try a different camera app. Camera Plus is a good one and there are many others.

EDIT 2: It cannot be restored via iTunes 'cause I get a screen message saying that there's no SIM card in the iPhone I'm attempting to activate. The friend who sold me the phone showed me a method for restoring it on the phone itself, without having to send the command through iTunes (connect the phone to computer, turn it off, hold both Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo disappears, release the Power button without releasing Home button, iTunes shows a message about an iPhone in restoring mode, restore, etc.). Thing is, I tried this two or three times on the iPhone 5 but the device still doesn't recognize the stupid SIM…

I am seeing if I can get another battery even though I do not believe that is the issue. It keeps giving me vdd_under which I believe is under voltage, maybe it is just a faulty battery? It charges up like normal and functions normal (when plugged in, or above 90%) but it gives under voltage warnings and shuts down when in heavy use (using camera or going back and forth to imessage). When just sitting idle it doesn't seem to turn off until that 55-60% mark. It may just be a faulty battery because I feel I installed all of the other cables correctly when replacing the screen, and I don't think those connections should affect the battery anyway except for maybe the logic board cable (the 2nd cable to be unplugged after the battery cable) I guess I could clean that out as well with isopropyl just in case.
Any other suggestions would be helpful... and I will get back to you if a new battery helps. Thanks!

I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop. My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad. Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers. Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not.

the phone says it is not charging even though it actually is. Check and see if that's the case. A very underhanded trick by Apple so they can charge 10 times what the cable is worth. They do not win admirers by that proprietary trickery.
