Using appintegrator with BW reports - Mapping problem

Hi All,
I've been using appintegrator with BW reports for a while.
The portal was connected to BW by ticket and it worked without a problem.
Since a new group of users was added to the portal and the UserID of those users in the portal & BW is not the same I want to change the logon method to user mapping.
Now, I have a problem:
when I try to run bex report I get a popup asking me for username/password (although the user mapping is configured correctly - transactions are running without a problem).
Even if I click the 'cancel' button the report will run so I guess the user/password is passed to the bw.
I use FQDN in the system definition in the portal and in the browser (both systems are on the same domain).
I read note no. 593640, according to the note configuring the /sap/bw/mime service to anonymous login should solve the problem.
Doesn't configuring the service this way will cause security issues? or is it just for eliminating the popup?
Portal is EP6 SP16.

The BW definition in EP is indeed user mapping.
The mapping works for transactions without any problem.
For bex reports I get the popup and even then, clicking the 'cancel' button shows the report. It's all explained in note 593640.
Since I'm not a BW person I don't know what defining anonymous login for the MIME service means.
This is a paragraph from the end of the note:
'The /sap/bw/mime service is not authorization-relevant because only constant MIMEs such as JavaScript, images (.gif) or stylesheets can be queried. All data-relevant queries (tables or graphics) are made using /sap/bw/bex.'
I guess it should work but I need to understand what anonymous login means in this case.

Using CSS with Linked Report Field

I'm using the CSS Style width:150px on a report column that has a link. However, when using a CSS Style on linked column the formatting doesn't work. If I remove the link the width setting takes effect. How can I correct this? If I embedded the link URL in the query data it will format fine so there appears to be something different happen when Application Express generate the link.

When a report column is rendered as a hyperlink, the CSS style you specify is not used, that is used only for regular report columns.
Try putting your style as style="width:150px;" in the Link Attributes in the Column Link section (where you specify the other hyperlink details)

I'm having similar issues. The iPhone4's face time works just as it always did but the iPad4 is not working. I can place a call but it won't connect, others can call and it rings but never connects. I've signed in and out of iTunes, removed and reinstalled the wifi, hard restart, and anything I can think of. It's driving me nuts!

How to report mapping problems

I have a mapping issue with my Iphone 5. I "think" I've reported it several times within the app but nothing has happened. I've used my mapping app all over the world and have never had a problem. However, imputting the address of a courthouse in downtown Dallas send me to a subburb of Dallas. How do I get acknowledgement that this report has been received?

Well, so it seems that a lot of people have problem using the maploader on WinXP to get those maps on their N95s.. I'm one of those.
I'm a software developer myself - I know that those problems can arise, be complex and cost time to solve. But it seems that Nokia simply doesn't care as I don't see any FAQ entry for this problem - the only source is this forum.
AT LEAST tell us a possible workaround. Give us a way to save those maps to the harddisc and tell us where to save those files on the memory card.
I've got up-to-date components (firmware, pc suite, map loader, drivers), I tried with the connected phone or via card reader - it simply always ends up with the same result, the error about the interrupted connection described by various posts.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry, I'm just really annoyed by the way Nokia helps his customers with this highly acclaimed feature - I paid much money for the N95 - I don't want ending up buying tomtom or route66 again..! I even would pay the navigation fee (which by the way surely was never mentioned when reading about the GPS feature)..
So, if you can't provide loader updates in time, just tell us a workaround - where to get the maps/vocals and where to put it on the memory card, that's fine for now..! please!!

So I managed to know which .zip being downloaded via Maploader (modem connection ) using the %temp%download_temp% run command (thanks limdul !)
Then I downloaded it again directly through http://static.s2g.gate5.de/maploaderzip/0.0.7h/ (thanks jtremaine !) because it was much faster and because Maploader isn't operating through my location's proxy.
Now the problem .... Nokia Maps now only shows the globe during the loading percentage status bar. After 100%, the screen goes black and then goes directly to the city level; no more fluidic graphic transition from the globe level to the city level! Even if I zoom out, I no longer have any geographical imageries ... all the zoom out levels half way and all the way to the globe level are gone. Even when the on-line update is on, nothing happen.
In a desperate effort to restore my dear Maps to its old fluidic graphic transition from the globe level to the city level I deleted the SD's \Private\20001f63\diskcache folder, restored the last backup, restarted the phone, downloaded the latest Maps, the latest loader .......but nothing helped

If you got your subtotals to work than getting your grand total shouldn't be difficult at all. Your grand total column summaries should be one grouping above where your subtotal column summaries reside. I am guessing this will put them at the report level. Meaning they will not be in a group, just free floating in your data model. Good luck.

Im using Minefield on Win7 64 but it always crashed when i try to use it with xfire. The problem is with the xfire_toucan64_44036.xll. Anyone else have this problem?

My crash apprears before the browser opens and so i cannot submit the report with the built in tool.

I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment. Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT. I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.
I'm spending a lot of time of research for WINDOW'S iTUNE with no solutions....

Can't Use UPK with Cognos Reports

I am trying to use UPK to record Cognos reports. If I have UPK open, the Cognos report freezes and will not run, so I'm unable to use UPK to record these reports. I have tried logging on as a remote user, or opening the report without UPK open, then opening and trying to record, and nothing works. Has anyone had this issue with Cognos or other web-based applications/reports?

from my application, in .net environment, I print report on printer at runtime with PrintToPrinter command,
but all documents that I print have the same spool name: "document".
Is there a possibility to set this name ?

What type of problem ? If you've been over-charged then you can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Issue in using BIAccelerator with Business Objects WebIntelligence report

I am trying to improve performance of Webi Reports on BW queries (with huge data load) with BI Accelerator.
When I run one BW query (with millions of records) in Bex 7, am getting data within no time when I used BIA.
When I run Webi report on universe which is developed on same BW query, report is running for long hours and finally giving message "No data to return Query1".
Am not sure whether my report query is hitting BIA from WebI or not .
Can we use BIA with WebI reports or not (to increase performance)?
Any help on this please.

Hi Dhana,
Webi - like any tool that is based on BEx queries - will use BIA. However, for Webi the data has to be passed through the MDX interface which slows things down. Please make sure you apply all notes listed in SAP note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1142664">1142664 MDX: Composite SAP note about performance improvements</a>.

Problem using HTTPService with SSL

I have seen a lot of messages talking about problems with
HTTPService and SSL (https) regarding Flex 1.5.
What I would like to know is if there are any similar issues
in Flex 2? I am using HTTPService to access an https address

Performance problem in Mapping Designer using UDF with external imports

Hello,
we do have a big performance problem in developing (not in execution) graphical Mappings as far as we use "user defined functions" (UDF) with include-entries referencing to jar files which are imported as "imported archives".
For example the execution of invice mapping with a little bit bigger test file in the Mapping designer:
- after opening, not in change mod: 6 seconds
- after switching to change mod: 37 seconds (that's clear, now everything is compiled first)
- after adding "com.seeburger.functions.permstore.CounterFactory;" into the "import" field of one UDF, no other change: 227 seconds
- after saving and submiting the changlist (no longer in change mode): 6 seconds
- after switching to change mode: 227 seconds
So execution speed of testing (and also when watching queues) only increases in changemod more then three minutes when using UDF with imports, referencing to external JAR files. It doesn't depend on Seeburger functions (we are using XI also for EDIFACT, so we also use some Seeburger functions), I can reproduce it with any other JAR file which is used from a UDF.
Using java included functions like "java.text.NumberFormat;" in "Import" doesn't slow down the testing.
Can anybody reproduce this? We are using XI 3.0 SP19 on a AIX machine, so we also have to use the Java version from IBM.
