Using Apple TV for watching HD videos created in HD iMovie

The main reason I am thinking about getting ATV is to watch HD home videos I have edited on iMovie on my HDTV. Has anybody actualy done this? Does the quality remain high after exporting to Apple TV.

What software are you using for the conversion -- QT? As
far as I know, it still employs a simply "drop/add"
algorithm for changing frame rates. Have you tried
dropping your iMovie (or other) project file to MPEG
Streamclip and using the "blend frames" option along
with the motion-adaptive deinterlacer to see it it
might "smooth" things out a bit? Not saying this
approach is perfect or that quality is up to
professional/commercial standards, but it didn't seem
all that bad to me. Just wish I had some better test
footage. (Hoping to get some now that spring is
here.)
I've tried it all . Started with QT, gave VisualHub a run through and then tried Streamclip. I will say that of the three solutions, Streamclip gave me the best results but the framerate still stuttered quite a bit.
I'm still holding out hope that perhaps Apple will at least allow a 30fps option at 1280.. I think it'll help out many podcasters like Rocketboom too.
