Using applet to select a part of an image and then save it

Hi ,
I want to use applet to select a part of an image and then save that particular selected part to a server. can anyone provide me a code for this. I have found codes on the sun site which help in uploading an image but I am having trouble in trying to select a part of the image.

I'm not sure just what you are after. I do see that you have positioned the tree on the labels. I went to the web site for the label company, and their instructions are not too helplful.

I changed the white portion of 1 label to black - - this can be any color. To do this use the magic wand tool, tolerance=10 worked for me, then go to Edit>fill selection.

When we want to update/revise the document, is there a method, using Acrobat, to make those updates to the pdf, or must we go back to the doc template and basically generate a new document?
Also, our resulting pdf documents aren't searchable. How can we generate pdf documents that are searchable? I may want to search for a part value or name within the body of these pdf documents, but currently can't do that...very inconvenient.

Not totally sure about the search issue. A lot depends on how you created the PDF and what is in the datasheets you attached (like are they graphics?). The doc portion should be searchable as long as you used print to the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker. For your use, it may be that the print is adequate. However, the result should be searchable (unless maybe you had a form with filled in fields and created the PDF with PDF Maker. I think the form data may be retained in form fields and the fields are not searchable. In that case, a print might be a better procedure. (it would help to know the versions of WORD and Acrobat as well as the exact process you used to create the PDF.)
If the appended data sheets do not change, then you might try opening the original PDF and then using Replace Pages to replace the file created from the DOC file.

If it is otherwise working, you can change the battery. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the part on eBay and other online sources. Just make sure you know the type of iPod you have so that you get the right part.

You can also have a repair business do the work.
If it is just the battery, if you do a Reset (using the Menu and Select buttons) while it is connect to your computer, I think it should still be recognized by iTunes.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

How do you have a long video in the timeline and then save it as separate parts?

I'm looking to record playthroughs of video games and putting them on youtube. So what I would be doing is recording about 2 hours of footage. I'm trying to find out how to cut that 2 hours of footage up into 10 minute clips, and then save each individual clip as a separate file so I can upload that part onto youtube. If that is hard to understand, sorry, I'm bad at explaining things. But if you understand and know how to do this, please answer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

I agree that using the WAB (Work Area Bar) for the desired Duration, and then Sharing that, would be the best route. This ARTICLE goes into more detail on the WAB.

Use 'Find and Replace'>under the 'Edit' menu.
Select from 'Find in'- Folder and browse to the folder your website files are kept in to select it.
Search: Source Code
In the Find box (but obviously use YOUR image code):

In the Replace box: (use YOUR link and image code)

How do I superimpose a darkfield image on brightfield image and then chose color range from the darkfield and only keep what I selected in the color range?

In the previous version of photoshop I was able to superimpose images of brightfield and darkfield insitu hybridization. I would adjust both images to same size and resolution. The darkfield image I would change the hue saturation to red so that now all the brighspots appeared red. Then I would open a new photoshop image and then drag the brightfield first into the new panel and then drag the red darkfield image on the brightfield. So now you can only see the red dark field layer on the top, THen using range I would select the bright red spots on the dark field and press delete. This would keep all the dark red spots on the brightfield image and all the other dark spots from the dark filed would disappear. This way I would superimpose all the brightest red spots from the dark field image on the brightfield image and this way I would get red signals on the bluish brightfiled image. I am unable to do this using photoshop on CS6. I am pasting the darkfiled image on the brightfield image (rather than dragging them) . Then using range when I choose the color range and then hit delete button I am unable to clear the unwanted dark field sections. Can anybody tell me what I should do on the new Adobe photoshop 6 (64 bits).

That question may be better answered with a goolge search. It not something most Photoshop users would be doing. More science then normal image processing.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix:
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
3 - launch IDVD and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

I know one way, it is not elegant but it does work.
1. Open Thunderbird. (download here: https://www.mozilla.org/EN/thunderbird/)
2. Click on Address Book.
3. On the left in the new window is a list of your Address books and groups. Select the one you want.
Your addresses will appear to the right.
4. In Thunderbird / Tools select Export, and Save as "Comma Separated".
You can open that list of addresses in Excel or in FileMaker Pro. Mail merge proceeds from there.

I am trying to copy 3 photos from an album in iPhoto to my iPhone. I have tried to move them to PhotoStream. It was helpful in understanding how Photostream works, but, unfortunately, doesn't really reference my problem since it assumes that the photos were originated on one of my Apple devices. The photos I want to copy to my iPhone are in an album on iPhoto but I had originally downloaded them from my camera to my iMac then moved them to the album. The confusing thing for me is that they are 3 of a dozen photos takern over a period of 12 years on different digital cameras (two were taken on film and later scanned and eventually moved to the album in iPhoto) and all but three of the photos moved to photostream and are on my iPhone. It is those three, which were all taken on digital cameras and moved to the album, which I can't get to move to Photostream.

I didn't understand the option to Inherit or start a new back up, and therefore selected the option to create a new backup. I believe I should have selected to Inherit backup history so that when i back it up on the new MackBook Air, it appears the same as the one I'm returning.... Is there anyway that i can re-select the option to Inherit backup history for time machine?

A third-party app probably cannot obtain a stream from another app. To the best of my knowledge, such a capability is not provided in the software development kit, apps being "sandboxed" from each other and so allowed to communicate only in very specific and limited ways.
I'm not completely sure what you mean by "limitations on video capture". An iPhone, to the best of my knowledge, can natively record video only through it's built-in camera, and audio while doing video recording only through the built-in microphone or mic/headphone jack. There might be a video recording app that would allow audio input from an external device connected to the dock connector, but I'm not sure.

The phone MUST have a SIM present in order for activation to complete. The process will not finish otherwise.
For the OP:
If the iPhone 5 is locked to a carrier, you must use a SIM from that same carrier. Otherwise I think you would be OK borrowing the SIM to activate the phone.

Printing to PDF using Chrome, and then save as a Word doc.

I want to print a webpage using Chrome to PDF, and then save that PDF to a Word document.
The problem is occurring when saving the PDF to a Word doc, as the Word document is blank.
Im using Adobe Acrobat X, Chrome version 32.0.1700.107 m.
(This question may seem a little strange/pointless, however current workflows within my workplace requires documents to be saved from online as PDFs, sent as PDFs, and staff then either save as PDFs or some convert the files to word documents as necessary)
I can already do this using Firefox, but saving to PDF using Chrome is significantly faster.

I'm sure you're aware that here you have an Acrobat user-2-user forum. Note a generic Q&A forum for non-Adobe products that, coincidentally, can create PDF.
The quality of Export from Acrobat or Adobe's online subscription services very much depends upon the "inner quality" of how the PDF was created.
GIGO is very much operative.

Regardless what is making the PDF is not Acrobat. Consequently "process support" would be with the software house that is responsible for the process.
