Using appleworks database to create email list

Hello,
I have just created a list of about 800 contacts in
an appleworks database that includes their email
address. Now I would like to be able to send out an
email to many of my contacts.
How can I use appleworks to create a mailing list?
Or do I need to somehow export this information to
the Address Book program or the Mail program?
I do this occasionally to notify people about updates for my software. I just copy and paste the email addresses.
That is, I change the layout of the database to List, select and highlight the entire column containing the email addresses, copy it, then go to email program, and paste into the To: field of an email. All the email addresses are pasted nicely into the field, separated by commas.

Case in point, the supplied avery labels in Appleworks does not have 8195. When I build one using custom design I need a small column between column 2 and 3 to line up the info in columns 3 and 4. All the labels are 1.3/4 inch wide but I need to insert a column 1/4 wide to match up with the avery page....
Any ideas???

Well, the issue is that when you creat a custom width of 1.3/4 from the edge of the first label to the edge of label 2 all is good. The right and left margins were also set correct in AW. The Avery page, for some reason, has a small 1/4 inch column between the columns of label 2 and 3 therefore making the distance between the left edge of the label in column 2 and the right edge of the label in column 3 - a width of 2 inches and not 1.3/4.
I guess Avery wanted the page to look even.
I did this work around.....
I created a custom lay out of 2 columns (not 4) with the correct width of 1.3/4 from label edge to label edge and the correct left side margin. After printing the first page I just turned the sheet 180 degress and printed the 2nd page to use all the labels on the Avery sheet. Since the upper and lower margin were the same it worked great....

There is no replacement program that will directly read Appleworks database files.
You have two options:
1. Continue to use Appleworks 6.2.9, which requires Rosetta installed in Snow Leopard, or the access to Rosetta by installing Snow Leopard Server in virtualization for use in Lion, Mt. Lion or Mavericks:

2. Export your database information into a common export function (such as delimited ASCII text file) and build a new database file in an alternate database program (such as Filemaker Pro) and import your information into it. More information here:

People will probably skim the internet to determine that it's possible to install on a separate database, and will often target a database that has sufficient space.
I doubt if 1 in 10 would even consider that the OMR will put a load on the CPU or would think to change the DBs settings based on a compination of "what si best for the applications in the DB" and "what is best for the OMR"

machineIf the OMS load pushes the machine to require another CPU and that forces the purchase another CPU license, then I would consider getting the OMS the h*^l off the machine on to a separate server.
AFAIK, you pay for the DB license, but there is no per-cpu charge for the OMS. So, like any client, you can install the OMS anywhere you want. I'd appreciate any documentation to the contrary.

Can I use applworks database on a handheld device?

I am designing a price book for the grocery store. Would like not to invest in another software so I am attempting to use Appleworks database. My purpose is to take this info to the grocery store on a handheld device. I am open to suggestions on which handheld device would work best for this. Handheld must be phone, ical, addressbook. [internet & email not a needed feature.]

There a program by DataVizcalled Documents to Go. It used to support AppleWorks files, but I think it is unlikely that it does any more. Click the link I have provided for more information.

Email List mail blocked- How to fix?

Issue: Email from a mailing list is apparently not getting to me.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to view the emails that are caught by the .Mac filters? From what i understand Apple uses several methods of filtering the emails coming to the .Mac users. (At work we use a different system, but we are able to go and unblock "good" emails ourselves.)
2. Is there a way to submit "good" email addresses to the .Mac filters?
3. Should I use a different account for email lists?
Notes: I only saw one recent Thread similar to this and it was unanswered and archived.

I have 2 clients with the exact same problem. Since the iOS update 8.0 their mail apps launch run for a while then kick off to a black blank screen and crashes the mail app, this brings them back to their desktop.
I have done everything from factory restores to changing their mail account types from IMAP/POP/Exchange MAPI this does not solve the problem. We have taken it in to our nearest iStore and they have stated that nothing can be done and that we should hope that the next iOS update fixes the issue. I believe its an OS bug crashing the iOS mail app. I hope APPLE team look into this as if there is no fix on the next update i am going to recommend my clients revert to an older version of iOS and you know what an ordeal that is and what all that requires.
I will keep you posted on my findings but in the meantime i don't think anything can be done.

CREATING A LIST PARTITION WITH TO_CHAR FUNCTION

i want to create a list partitions based on months like 1..12 so that data will go to its respective month partition irrespective of Month and year. i don't have a varchar2 field for month only rather i have got the insertion date column. can anybody tell me how can i create a list partitioned table by using the to_char(date_column,'MON') function.

Range partition means every month one new partition if i go for month wise partition. So, thats final right we cannot use any function to create any list partitions??

I know how to do that. I don't want to have to take the time to search through the gazillion addresses in my address book to find each one and then drag or type them into the list. My question was is there away to have all the addresses in the "To" field used to create a list by - for instance - somehow selecting all of these addresses and saying create a list from them. Website forms require some code in a snippet and a formmail.php script on the server to process the form and send the info to the required email address. You can do all this when you switch to a "real" server.
In the meantime you can use a form or marketing service or, better still, an application like MailShoot which generates the form, handles the database and sends out the bulk emails.

Why can't I use my email lists (to send to a group) on iPad?

Tried both Yahoo and Gmail emails. Have to use my mac to send group emails unless I want to add one email at a time. Kind of defeats the purpose of creating a list.

The mail app and the contacts app just don't have any features or settings that will let you do this. Only Apple knows why.
You will not be the first to do so, but you can make a suggestion to Apple and tell them that you would like to see the ability to do this added in an iOS update.

Use the add-on to export your mail as EML. This is a fairly standard format that just abut any mail client can read. Except Outlook.
