Using Apps through a VPN

I'm at work and trying to use my apps that are already installed on my IPod Touch. I have to go through a VPN.......Everything is connected and I can get on the internet but none of my apps work that require internet. Can anyone help?

As I don't have access to metalink yet, can you tell me for my configuration what is certified and what browser I should use? I already mentioned that my OS is Vista and I have IE7. I realise that IE6 cannot run on Vista and now Firefox 3 cannot be used. So what JInitiator should I use for IE 7?The currently supported desktops for Release 11i include:

Since you and your friend aren't married or in the same household (I assume you wouldn't have referred to this person as "my friend" otherwise), what you want to do is not permitted by the terms of use of the iTunes Store.
Your friend should create his own Apple ID. He can use your computer; just have him log into your computer with a user account you create just for him, not your own user account. Doing it that way is almost like having your friend use a different computer, since both Mac OS X and recent versions of Windows do a pretty good job of segregating the data of multiple user accounts.
He can then purchase the app using iTunes and sync it to his iPhone. When he's done, he should log out of your computer.
However, be aware that there is no reason to purchase an app using iTunes on a computer and to then sync it to the iPhone. Your friend can use the App Store app that's installed on the iPhone by default in order to download and install any app he likes from the iTunes App Store.

I wanted to know the safety of subscribing to 3rd party apps through the app store? i also wanted to know if we could use a iTunes gift card for the auto renewal subscriptions?

We just wanted to know how safe these 3rd party apps are with credit card information, because we dont want our information used in the wrong ways, or used for things other than the subscription. We also wanted to know if the subscriptions could be paid with itunes gift cards.

Basically anything purchased "in app" is handled through your iTunes account.

I have BIS but can't surf, send/receive email, use apps

i have BB Curve 8520. My BIS was running smoothly (sending and receiving emails real time and surfing the net through BIS), until i noticed when i tried to reply to an email that came in, it won't send. i noticed that it's fluctuating. i was able to send the email after a few minutes... then a few minutes later, i received a replied email from my friend, and when i tried to send my reply, i wasn't able to. also, i can't surf using the browser with the "internet browser" as default. i tried using my wifi and then suddenly all my emails started coming in, all emails that were not able to go through hours ago. my big question was why do i need to turn on wifi just to receive emails. but since i had my BIS for 2 months now, i can send and receive emails and surf through BIS itself without turning on the wifi. also, i can't use any of my apps like facebook, twitter, yahoo messenger, etc. They used to work fine with BIS... but now, i have to turn on the wifi connection, so i could log in with them. aren't these supposed to be running through BIS only?
I have GPRS on top, not gprs. my carrier says i have active data plan/BIS. but under Services Status..it says Blackberry Internet Service: Connection: not connected...
so, i wiped out my BB and deleted all third party apps. when this was done, i received emails telling me "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" and even got "Activation Server" emails telling me that the emails that i have previously set up are now up and running. so i thought my BB is now ok.. i tried surfing, it was okay. after like about 5 minutes, it was down again. tried sending email but can't... i turned on the wifi and boom! the emails started coming in again.i have the Host Routing Tables and my Service Books in my BB. I have GPRS (not gprs) on top which means i have active BIS. i have registered my HRTs several times... and resending my service books... same thing...
the big mystery is when i turn on the wifi, the emails suddenly go through and i can send emails. i can open apps that used to only run on BIS. this is ok i guess, but i could never do any of these if i'm not connected to wifi.
my sister and i have the same BB... i removed my sim and inserted it to her BB and the BIS worked fine... i was able to surf and use apps.. but when i put my sim back on my phone, the problem still exists. i even used a different sim card that is also subscribed to BIS/data plan, and it still has the same problem... my guess is my carrier is right that my data plan is working ok and that my handheld itself has the problem...
i updated my OS, same problem.. wiped it out... used BBSAK, reinstalled OS... numerous battery pulls... same thing... i can receive the HRTs and service books, but after that can't do anything else like i used to... (send/receive emails, use apps like facebook, twitter, ym, etc., can't surf with internet browser - except when wifi is on everything else work fine even emails and apps)..

Unable to access Standalone VM via Remote Desktop through a VPN

Good Morning everyone, now here is my problem.
My company is a small software development house and we test our software on Win 7 or 8 VM's running on standalone (ie not on the domain) VM's. We are running the VM's on WS2012 R2 Hyper V and when we are inside the building we are able to Remote Desktop
onto these VM's direct without any problem. The problem comes when we want to RD onto the VM's when working from home via the VPN. When we try to connect to the VM's via RD through the VPN the Remote Desktop Connection fails with the following alert "Remote
Desktop can't find the computer '[Computers Name]'. This might mean that '[Computers Name]' does not belong to the specified network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are trying to connect to." The only way I can connect to the VM's is
by going onto the host server and access the VM's via Hyper V manager and use it that way.
Now when I try to connect to a VM that is running on the Domain via the VPN I connect without any problems at all.
So my question is why can I connect to standalone VM's via RD without any problems when in the office but when I am at home via VPN I can't but I can connect to VM's on the domain without any problems? What do I need to do to make this work?

I have just tested it and when at work I can ping by name a named server and the standalone VM without any problems.
But when I connect from the outside via the VPN I am still able to ping by name a named server but not the stand alone server. Nor can I ping the IP address of the standalone VM although I can connect to a standalone VM using its IP address via RDC

Generally , you can assign a default house bank and account id in the vendor master record. During execution of Automatc payment program this house bank will be used ( provided your APP configuration via FBZP and APP parameters are in line ). However, you can change the default house bank at the document line item level to a different house bank and this would be checked with house bank configuration via FBZP ( and your APP parameters ) and payment made via the preferred house bank .
You may also change the house bank while editing the Automatic payment proposal through a re-allocation of house bank .

Errors upload Apps through Application Loader

Trying to upload App through Applicatio loader had have never received these errors til 2 days ago. Same error on two different app uploads. I'm running the latest application loader version 2.9 and Mac 10.7.5. Using iMac 24" with 4 gb of ram

I have reset my router, restarted my computer and checked for any updates. I'm out of options. I also have developer recreate the pkg file without spaces in the name as I heard that might be an issue.

Javascript errors using Checkpoint Mobile Access VPN: Workaround needed

Hi,
We are currently in the process of upgrading from APEX 3.2 to 4.2.1 at our organization. We are done with fixing all applications and tests have been successful so far.
However we are facing one issue when we use applications by passing through a web proxy called Checkpoint Mobile Access VPN. The issue never occured in APEX 3.2 when using this proxy.
Before explaining the issue here is a quick description of how this proxy works. I first authenticate through the proxy's login page. Once authenticated, there is a list of shortcuts I can choose to access our Portal.
From the portal, I then have links to my APEX applications (APEX authentication is done with Oracle Single-sign-on).
The proxy modifies all URLs to something like this:
https://my-proxy-host/axess/Web/pls/apex/f,CVPNHost=my-apex-host,CVPNProtocol=http,CVPNOrg=rel?p=10001:101:2345777452066514
It also modifies HTML content and javascript libraries in order to work with its translated URLs (and maybe for some other reasons which I don't know). In javascript files, it replaces some functions and variables with some of its own.
Now here is the issue. This javascript rewriting causes a syntax error to occur in desktop_all.min.js , more precisely in the code that concerns apex.security . This causes all apex and jquery functions to break.
To investigate deeper, I removed the #APEX_JAVASCRIPT# placeholder in a template and included one by one all the uncompressed libraries that are used by desktop_all.min.js .
This resolved the issue.
After this I tried to include again all the same libraries but in their minified version. I then got the issue back. After searching a bit I realized that the issue is located in security.min.js .
The minified version of the library has a syntax error but the uncompressed version works well.
I analyzed the syntax error and it's caused by the proxy that closes a parenthesis at the wrong place. I've never had this kind of javascript rewriting issue before but the proxy software definitely failed in this case.
I understand that the error is caused by the proxy software and has nothing to do with APEX. However I need to put a workaround in place since we have no choice of using the proxy in many situations.
-Does anyone here ever got or heard about this issue? If yes, did you find a workaround?
-I may have found my own workaround and would like to know your opinion on it:
I took the uncompressed security.js file and minified it with a tool found on internet. The result code is different from the one bundled with APEX.
I then refered to this new file in my template and had no error this time.
What I finally did is edit desktop_all.min.js and replace the line concerning apex.security with my new file. It seems to work quite well.
I know it's not a good approach to overwrite files provided by APEX like this but I would prefer this than including all the dozens of files.
I would like to keep #APEX_JAVASCRIPT# so APEX continues controlling which libraries to include.
What do you think about this? Maybe is there something similar that would be a better approach?

I have similar problem - difference is just in using PPTP instead of VPN client but basicaly it is the same setup.
Simply ip local policy doesn't work when you have some encrypted traffic.
Can you post your configuration for the internet-redirect-rmap route map.
I have tried with match gre protocols and ports 1723 for pptp but it simply doesn't work so I am wondering is this even feasible on cisco router.

Using app.findGrep() and app.changeGrep() consecutively

I have a script that should find and replace predefined terms and mark the changes visually on a separate layer.
The process basically works in two steps:
Loop through a list of expressions, look for every expression with app.findGrep() and insert Note-Markers at the beginning and at the end of a match.
Loop through the same list again and find & replace with corresponding terms of another predefined list, using app.changeGrep(). After that, use the positions of the markers to draw rectangles on a new layer in order to visualize the changes.
The problem is that even though Step 1 works fine (marks show up at their correct positions), step 2 doesn't seem to do anything, unless I change the findWhat parameter to an expression that hasn't been used already in the list of step 1.
So, my guess is that Indesign somehow caches all performed searches and prevents any further look-ups with those expressions.
However, if I use the standard find&replace form after the execution of the script, I can still find any expression from the list without any issues. Can anyone see how I can solve this issue?

While installing the CS6 Apps through CC Subscription, what should I do with my old CS4 App

While installing the CS6 Apps through Creative Cloud Subscription, what should I do with my old CS4 Apps still in my Apps folder?
After installing my first 2, Ai and ID, I check the Application Folder and both the newly installed CS6 and my old CS4 versions of each App are in the folder.
Do I just throw away into the trash the CS4 versions? If so, will all my created data files remain intact?

Uninstall the CS4 versions properly using the uninstallers that come with them (aliases are in each of the apps' directories). Beyond that it works as it should - newer versions always leave older ones in place. Whether or not you will be able to open all your CS4 files in CS6 we cannot know - yes, newer versions should open older files, but you may be using specific stuff that limits compatibility like certain plug-ins that would need to be upgraded for CS6 as well. For that exact reason you may wanna keep CS4 around a while longer until you can be sure...
