Using ASDM 6.0 Usage Status

Hey, I have the fancy pie chart showing usage source and destination. I found it nice to be able to label the IP but ..
1) I want to label an IP range not just specific IP's (maybe 100's of IP's in range and don't want to do it 100 times)
2) I know at least 4 - 5 of the top 10 usage so I was thinking of how to exclude certain IP's from this usage chart?
3) Can I display more then the top 10 usage IP's, say the 11th or 20th, and can this be done through the CLI.
I really appreciate answers, as I'm at the mercy of the wolves with this nice device. I am actively trolling the forums and reading articles but hope for something with this post.

Doing a self update:
There is no way to exclude particular IPs from the Pie chart. Boooo! So far we have 6 ips now that are regular so this will not be very useful because for our organization we know and accept anything particular IP's throw at us. It's the unknown that are mostly interesting. There is a CLI command 'show treat-detection statistics top host' which shows the same thing as the pie chart, so gotta figure out how to show more then 10 in the CLI or how to exclude (which appears unlikely).

  • How to use the selection profile and status profile for production order?

    Hi expert,
       I want to know how to use the selection profile and status profile for production order. what's the usage for these two selection profile and status profile ?
      Please help me.
      thanks in advance.
      george.shi

    Hi George,
    There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
    We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
    In this status profile,
    1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
    2.We define initial statuses
    3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
    Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

  • On using RH_INSERT_INFTY to change HRP1000 status

    Dear Gurus,
    I'm using RH_INSERT_INFTY to change the status(ISTAT) of HRP1000.
    According to the FM documentation: In the case of a status change, however, note the following: The fact that  the record is deleted with the old status (except PLVO).
    But the result seems that, when I change the ISTAT by using RH_INSERT_INFTY,  the record with the old status is still there in the DB table HRP1000. I think the time constraint of HRP1000 must be set to 1.
    Could you please advise how could I delete the record with the old status in this case?
    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Thanks for the advice.
    Finally, I have to delete the record by myself  by calling FM RH_DELETE_INFTY_DIRECT.
    Even if I changed only the ISTAT field of the HRP1000 record, say, from 1 to 2, the old record with ISTAT = 1 would not be deleted after I inerted the ISTAT =  2 record.
    If we don't delete the record with ISTAT = 1 before hand, there will be 2 record in the HRP1000 table, all the fileds' value are the same except the ISTAT field.
    But it's also very tricky that, it seems that if I change the ISTAT and the BEGDA/ENDDA in 1 FM call of RH_INSERT_INFTY, the ISTAT = 2 record will be delimited too.
    Thanks anyway!

  • Configuring Static Route Tracking Using ASDM 7.1(3) ASA 9.1(2)

    I have recently updated my ASA5520 to 9.1(2) and I am using ASDM 7.1(3) to configure Static Route Tracking. I have done this previoussy in earlier version of ASDM without a problem.  There seems to be a new field in the Tracked Options section.  What is the "Target Interface"?  Is it the interface I want to use as the standby route when the Monitor fails? Or is it the Interface that is doing the monitoring?
    I have looked through Cisco ASA Series General Operations ASDM Configuration Guide Software Version 7.1, as well as older ASDM books and this field is never listed or described.

    Hi,
    The target interface will be the interface through which you will be polling some destination IP address with ICMP Echos to determine if the route through that interface is still valid.
    So in your case you would use "Outside"
    Heres the link to the ASA Command Reference listing the above "type" command under the "sla monitor 1" configuration

  • How Serial Number of the material can be used to track the current status

    Hi,
    I want to know how we can use the serial number of the materail to track its current status. i;e i just want to enter serial number and system should display its current status, whether the materail has been returned, delivered etc.
    Is it possible to know.
    Thanks,

    VK,
    We use serial numbers for tracking purpose. We can track at the document level
    Function Module GET_SERNOS_OF_DOCUMENT can be used to retrieve serial numbers corresponding to any of the following documents.
    1.  Delivery
    2.  Sales order
    3.  Material document
    4.  Inspection lot
    5.  production order
    6.  Internal Handling unit
    7.  Physical Inventory document
    TO see the status of Serial no. you can use Tcode IQ02 - Where the status will be To Stock , From Stock, To Customer, From Customer, Delete Assign to HU, Delete Inv Assign.

  • By what time zone does Verizon use to log data usage?  When I checked my current usage, there is data used logged in at early morning times and I don't have anyone else who is up at these times.

    By what time zone does Verizon use to log data usage?  When I checked my current usage, there is data used logged in at early morning times and I don't have anyone else who is up at these times.  I also have 1.8+ GB charged to my allowance that I don't understand at all how it is mine because the highest I've ever logged at any given time has been barely 0.5 GB.  I'm cruising along at .04-.07 GB and all of a sudden appears a 1.8+ GB deduction/usage and it makes me wonder what the ???? is going on.  Is Verizon posting fraudulent usage amounts just to drive up my usage so I have to buy more Gigs?

    The time is not the time of actual use, but the time a tower reports the use. The data would have been used anytime prior to that time. Usually, but no always, the usage happened between the time prior and the time reported.
    For example:
    9:00 AM   1.23 MB
    7:05 AM   0.01 MB
    1:15 AM  350.03 MB
    8:00 PM   23.89 MB
    This does not indicate 350 MB was used at 1:15 AM. It really tell you 350 MB was used sometime between 8:00 PM and 1:15 AM.
    The times are local time zone as far as I can tell.

  • Managing ASA5510 using ASDM via internal interface

    Hello
    I am currently managing an ASA5510 using ASDM through the management port but I would like to manage the ASA through the internal port.
    My concern is that I thought I remembered reading someplace that if you setup an internal port for management that it can't be used for anything else.  Is this correct?
    I only configured one internal port and it is the path to my LAN.  I would hate to configure the port for management only to find that I disconnected my firewall from my internal network in the process.  Can I use my one and only configured internal port for both ASA management and route from my LAN thru the ASA firewall?
    I currently have the management port set to 192.168.1.1 and my internal interface is 10.1.1.1.  If I open ASDM and connect thru the management port and select Configuration/Device Management/Management  Access/ASDM/HTTPS/Telnet/SSH
    select "ADD"
    select access type "ASDM/HTTPS"
    select interface "internal"
    IP Address   "10.1.1.0"
    Mask       "255.255.255.0"
    Will that give me access to ASA management thru my internal network but cripple my network access to the ASA?
    Sorry if this is confusing... I don't know how else to phrase it.
    Thanks
    Ed

    Hi
    it sounds like a better plan than opening up for each and every unit on the inside :).
    But if you have a old laptop or something like that I would state that setting that up with a syslog server and use that to manage the firewall would be a even better option.
    that way you would get logs and a management station.
    there are several syslog servers that are free and I like to use grep that is also free to filter information.
    http 10.1.1.52 255.255.255.255 inside
    will make the 10.1.1.52 the only server to work with asdm
    but you will have to remove the old http 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 inside statement.
    If you find the answers helpful please rate.
    good luck

  • Does Using Co Pilot use up my internet usage

    Hi if I use my CoPilot software on my iphone when I am abroad does it use up my internet usage - ie does it cost me money !! Or is it like a Sat Nav that does not use internet and so is free to use ??
    Also what about Google Maps, does that use up Mb's ??
    thanks

    CoPilot will not use the internet to display the maps, BUT it will use the internet for the other services it provides which need data to update. Not sure how much it will use, but it will be some.
    Google Maps uses the internet to download everything including maps, it is a BIG data user.

  • Accessing IPS using ASDM - Error

    Hi,
    When trying to access IPS using ASDM, I am getting this error message.
    Thanks.

    Can you connect to the sensor using IDM?
    Can you connect to the sensor using SSH?

  • Save/Restore Config using ASDM ?

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to Save/Restore the running/startup configuration of ASA using ASDM ?
    Just like we do on other firewalls like SonicWall, Cyberoam and all all , Save the configuration to a file on your local machine and then upload the file to restore the configuration . Is it possible using ASDM ?
    Regards,
    Anup

    Hi,
    I have personally never done this as I always rely on the CLI when doing anything related to the softwares and configurations.
    It seems though that the ASDM contains a backup/restore feature.
    You can check the "Tools" menu in the upper taskbar of the ASDM.
    It creates a compressed file of the ASA settings (and other material) which you to my understading later use with the restore option.
    The CLI format for backing up your configurations would be
    To external host with TFTP
    copy startup-configuration tftp://x.x.x.x/filename.xyz
    copy running-configuration tftp://x.x.x.x/filename.xyz
    To the ASAs Flash memory
    This enabled you to easily boot the old configuration from the file you have saved to the flash.
    copy startup-configuration flash:/filename.xyz
    copy running-configuration flash:/filename.xyz
    Also you can naturally just take "show running-config" or "show startup-config" from the CLI and copy/paste to a text document.
    Notice that the above formats doesnt include PSK or AAA server key information in clear text
    To view them in clear text use the command.
    more system:running-config
    Naturally if you have copied a configuration file to an external host or Flash memory you dont need to know the PSKs/AAA keys since they are already included in the configuration.

  • What's the best way to use an enum to validate statuses

    I am trying to write and use an enum to represent a status code and validate status code values. Ultimately the input data from another system and the database will be 1 or 2 i.e.the indexes and the java code will use the LIVE and CANCELLED when referring to the status. The code I have written
    public class TestEntityStatus {
         private static EntityStatusImpl es;
         public static void main(final String args[]){
                    es =  new EntityStatusImpl();
                    es.setStatusCode("1"); // valid test
                    es.setStatusCode("3"); // invalid test
    }The EntityStatusImpl class:
    public class EntityStatusImpl {
        private String statusCode;
        public EntityStatusImpl() {
        public final String getStatusCode() {
            return statusCode;
        public final void setStatusCode(final String statusCode) {
             String allStsIndexesAsRegExpr = "[";                                                                                 //
                EntityStatus allStatuses [] = EntityStatus.values();                                                     // would like to
                for(EntityStatus e : allStatuses)                                                                                // put this code
                    allStsIndexesAsRegExpr = allStsIndexesAsRegExpr + e.getStatusCode();   // in the enum
                allStsIndexesAsRegExpr = allStsIndexesAsRegExpr + "]";                                        // EntityStatus
                System.out.println(" allStsIndexesAsRegExpr = " + allStsIndexesAsRegExpr);           //
                 if (statusCode.matches(allStsIndexesAsRegExpr)) {
                     this.statusCode = statusCode;
                 else {
                      throw new IllegalArgumentException("Entity status " + statusCode + " is invalid");
    }The EntityStatus enum has a method "getAllIndexesAsRegex" which I would like to call. However, my understanding of enums is preventing me from doing so.
    If I declared an EntityStatus, I expected that I would be able to get all of the indexes back as follows in
    EntityStatus x;
    x.getAllIndexesAsRegex();
    Instead I have to copied the code from the enum into the setStatusCode method above, where it works but does not seem to be in the right place.
    public enum EntityStatus {
                     LIVE(1), CANCELLED(2);
                     private int index;
                 private EntityStatus(int index) {
                     this.index = index;
                  public int getStatusCode(){
                           return index;
                  public String getAllIndexesAsRegex(){
                       String output = "[";
                       PromiseStatus allStatuses [] = PromiseStatus.values();
                       for(PromiseStatus p : allStatuses)
                            output = output + p.getStatusCode();
                       output = output + "]";
                       return output;
         }The java tutorial doesn't seem to throw much light on this type of application of enums for me, neither does Herbert Schilt's excellent book on Java 5.
    Can anyone spot any flaws in my logic or suggest better ways of achieving this?

    If you want to ensure type safety and retrict the user to a range of values it seems to me you are over complicating
    the implementation. Simply change your Impl class accessor and mutator methods to accept and return the enum
    type respectively. For example:
    private EntityStatus entityStatus;
    public EntityStatus getEntityStatus()
       return entityStatus;
    public void setEntityStatus(EntityStatus entityStatus)
      if (entityStatus == null)
        throw new IllegalArgumentException("Invalid entity status!");
      this.entityStatus = entityStatus;
    }The one downside is that you are retrieving the actual underlying enum values from external source systems which you need to map back to your
    enum types. Unfortunately the Enum class does not have a method that will return what you need (the valueOf method returns the enum type
    based on the enum name). However you can provide a method in your enum class that will map the external source values to the enum. Below is
    one such implemetation.
    import java.util.HashMap;
    import java.util.Map;
    public enum EntityStatus
      LIVE("1"),
      CANCELLED("2");
      private String statusCode;
      private static Map<String,EntityStatus> enumMap = new HashMap<String,EntityStatus>(EntityStatus.values().length);
      static
        enumMap.put(LIVE.getStatusCode(),LIVE);
        enumMap.put(CANCELLED.getStatusCode(),CANCELLED);
      private EntityStatus(String statusCode)
        this.statusCode = statusCode;
      public String getStatusCode()
        return statusCode;
      public static synchronized EntityStatus deriveObject(String statusCode)
        return enumMap.get(statusCode);
    }Below is a usage example:
      public static void main(String args[])
        EntityStatus status1 = EntityStatus.deriveObject("1");
        EntityStatus status2 = EntityStatus.deriveObject("2");
        EntityStatus status3 = EntityStatus.deriveObject("3");
        System.out.println(status1);
        System.out.println(status2);
        System.out.println(status3);
      }

  • Battery use by the APP GPS Status & Toolbox...What's Up with this APP???

    Thursday - 12/15/2011
    All,
    When I turned on my phone this morning I decided to check my battery usage and what a surprise.  But first let me say that in all the time my Charge had Froyo 2.2.1 and also using GB 2.3.6 my battery usage ALWAYS had "Display" as the biggest user of the battery.  See attached Screen Shot
    This morning the APP GPS Status was the biggest user of the battery even more than Display.  I did check to see if GPS Status was running and it was NOT running.  I have not even used GPS Status for several days.
    What's up, does anyone know???  I hope this APP is not a stealth off spring of CarrierIQ!
    JerryF
    PS,  After using the phone I re-checked battery usage about 3 hours later and Display was again the biggest user at 51% and now GPS Status is in second place at 19%.

    Richs10 and OTHERS,
    I think I figured it out and it appears that GPS & Toolbox is NOT constantly running and is no longer using battery power.  It seems that once you use an APP it appears in the "Battery USE" display.  Look at settings>about phone>battery use if you want to see your Battery Use display.  Therefore, when you use an APP and it used a lot of battery juice it goes to the top of the Battery Usage list even though it is NO LONGER running.
    It stays there until some other APP tops it as the biggest user or battery power or the Battery Use list is reset..
    That said, go to the following URL because I found a way to reset my Battery Use display and GPS & Tool Box disappeared from my Battery Use list because it was no longer running.
