Using Asteriks (*) in PPOMA_CRM to select all distribution channels

I guess this message suits this forum better ...
We are working in CRM 7, because we have alot of combinations sales grp - dc linked to several sales offices, based on note 691015, in the sales group function tab, I entered the sales grps as follows :
USTN USEA * ( no entry in div)
When I run the replication, for all customers I get the message that the combination sales office - sales group - sales area does not exist ?
Is this no longer possible in CRM 7 ? Do I need other settings ?

Solved myself, the division also requires the * even if you do not use it ...

Using ExcelExport without opening the dialog box to select all the channels in portal by default

Hi,
I need to export all the data in the Data portal to an Excel file without opening the Dialog for channels selection. In the ExcelExport command, it asks for a Config (*.stp) file as one of the parameters. Is there need to create a new stp file for selecting all channels or can the same file (Example_ASC.stp ) be reused ? If so, do I need to change any content in the system stp file ?

Using a menu ring to select DAQ device channel and indicator

Hi,
New user here. I am using the DAQ assistant with multiple analog inputs. I would like the front panel to have a menu ring where the user can select which channels are to be active. Also, this corresponds to a single graphical indicator.
Currently I have a VI that displays all channels each with its own indicator. I want to simplify the front panel so that a user can simply use a menu ring to select and focus on what he/she is interested in. Is it possible to use the Select Signals Express VI to implement this?

Drop the DAQ Assistant or convert it to regular DAQmx functions. The physical channel control does all that. Just look at the shipping examples.

Multiclip--select all audio channels

Hi,
I am making a three camera multiclip. I would like to select between three video angles but keep all 3 audio channels playing simultanously.
The manual is not very clear about keeping all the audio tracks playing while switching between video angles. I have tried most of the choices but I usually get either a single audio track (angle 1 audio) only or the audio angle switches with the video angle.
Is it possible to play all three audio tracks while switching the video angle in a multiclip?

I have found the problem, damn it, i should have tried it earlier xD..
maybe this will help some people having the same problem because:
They have removed alsa from the DAEMONS array (is needed to store sound levels) because they thought with pulseaudio it is not needed!

Best workflow to select all text in object

I regularly copy text filled objects to reuse them and need to change the text within. Does anyone have a fast way to select all text?
Currently I have to double click the text to get a cursor and then use a control+A to select all text in the box.
I would love to have a single to 2 button press to do this or better yet a fast way to do this with the mouse. Even an contextual right click option would rock!
All ideas appreciated and will be tested.

Nice tip! I have also found you can right click to edit text, I wish it would select all when you do that.

Select all no longer working getting the character å

Good day guys.
I think I may have hit a key combo that changed somethign on my comptuter.
I am getting funny character when using the command key
Example
Select all shoulod be command + A what i get is å
Copy command +v i get ç
Past command + v i get √
and so on you get the idea.
I have tried rebooting a few times it did not clear it up.
Any one know why keycombo i might of hit...

Hmmm... Option+a, c or v should produce those characters... å, ç or √...
Either try System Preferences / Keyboard / Keyboard Shortcuts / Restore Defaults...
Or Keyboard / Modifier Keys... / Assign the Command Key to the Command drop-down...

Scenario regarding Sales Organization, distribution channel

Dear Experts,
I am doing
1. Simple Domestic sales from manufacturing plant
2. Depot Sales: In which, Stock transfer between two plants i.e. from Manufacturing Plant to Depot and sales from depot
3. Exports: Sales to other country.
Now, my confusion is, whether i can use a single sales organization and three distribution channel for all these three scenarios or do i have to create three different sales organizations along with three distribution channels and do the processes?
My anather question is, if i want to do depot sales, then it is possible to have one manufacturing plant and two storage locations at different places. i.e. issuing storage locatin and receiving storage location.
Is it possible to sell goods from receiving storage location to end customer?
What will be simple organizational structure i can make to acheive these things?
I would be very helpful if you can give me your expert inputs on the scenario. I am trying to make the simple organization structure with less complications for my client.

As suggested the best choice will be to go ahead with one sales organization for all these scenario. Since in domestic sale / export sale the only difference will be the Pricing configuration and that can be easily mapped using the either a distribution channel / or a customer pricing procedure.
Now when it comes to handling the sales scenario - there is a option to go ahead with two or even three distribution channel.
1. Domestic Sale (Can handle Both Depot sale and Manufacturing same- seperate dist.channel will help to pick right pricing procedure
2. Export Sale - This distribution channel will help you to pickup export pricing procedure (Also if not then you can have customer pricing procedure to pick the export pricing )
3. Stock Transfer (Can be done through domestic sale also)- I hope a seperate pricing procedure will be created for STO. So from the reporting purpose a seperate dist.channel can help you to have more clarity to the user - Again will help you to pick a different pricing procedure (A seperate Cust.pr.Pro can also be used to pick a different pricing procedure)
4. If you are using DEPOT sale with Excisable mean you need to maintain RG23D register. Also you need to generate Excise Invoice, challan . If you use transfer process of storage location to storage locationthen there are concerns as how you will generate challan and Invoice. OR if it is a DEPOT to DEPOT Transfer then also you need supporting document. please do check as whether you need the required output or not.
So Depot need to be maintained a PLANT in SAP with a check box as saying Excisable and relevant for RG23D. and a Normal Sales process will follow. Reporting can be done of PLANT as a primary key.
Distribution channel will be a simpler way of Differentiation - and for reporting purpose.

Define Distribution Channel
In this step, you define the distribution channels in your company, adapting the functional scope of a distribution channel to your organization.
Enterprise Structure -->Definition -->Sales and Distribution -->Define, copy, delete, check distribution channel
On the Choose Activity dialog box, choose Define distribution channel.
   2. On the Change View Distribution Channels: Overview screen, choose New Entries.
   3. Enter the following.
      Distr. Channel      Name
      01      Direct Sales
      02      Wholesale
      03      Intercompany
        11. Assign Distribution Channel to Sales Organization
Use
In this step, you allocate the distribution channels to a sales organization. In this case as many distribution channels as desired can belong to a sales organization. In addition, a distribution channel can be valid for several sales organizations.
Procedure
   1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
Transaction code      OVXK
IMG path      Enterprise Structure ® Assignment ® Sales and Distribution ® Assign distribution channel to sales organization
   2. On the Distribution Channels -> Sales Organization: Overview screen, select Sales Org.BP01 BP01 and assign it to the following Distribution channels:
      Distr. Channel      Name
      01      Direct Sales
      02      Wholesale
      03      Intercompany
   3. Choose Save.

i have one sales organization-0001 three Distribution channel- 01,common distribution channel,02-distribution channel,03-distribution channel and 4 divisions. Hz-common divisions.,Oz,AZ,CZ. so my clients requirement is he wants to create customer master and material master record will be created sales organization 0001. distribution channel --01,02,03 and common division 00 and material master should be sales organization 0001, distribution channel 00 ( common distribution channel) and all division and sales order should be sales organization 0001 and all distribution channel and all division. plz giv me the solution as soon as possible.

Create several distribution channel for an existing customer

Hi,
to create a new customer, we use the BAPI "BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1" with the specified distribution channel.
After creation of the customer I want to create another distribution channel to this customer without create a new customer number.
Is there any BAPI, which solve this issue?

hii,
From ECC it is manadatory that you maintain Common Distribution Channel (Reference distribution channel for conditions, Reference distrib.channel for cust.and material masters) and Common Division (Reference division for conditions, Reference division for customers). so you will have to create the customer similarly. Thumb rule it is standardized.
Customer created for one sales area i.e., 1000,10,01 cannot be used in another sales area 1000,11,01 unless the customer is extended. (which means you cannot use the customer for other sales area)

Sales Organization    An organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or
    services. The responsibility of a sales organization may include legal
    liability for products and customer claims.
Use
    You can assign any number of distribution channels and divisions to a
    sales organization. A particular combination of sales organization,
    distribution channel, and division is known as a sales area.
Reference distribution channel for conditions    Specifies a distribution channel that you want to use as a reference for
    condition data for other distribution channels.
Procedure
    You can specify one distribution channel as the source of condition data
    for other distribution channels. You need then only to maintain the data
    in one place.
Example
    Distrib.channel                Ref.distrib.channel
    01                             01
    02                             01
    03                             01
    04                             04
In this example, only distribution channels 01 and 04 have condtion data
defined. Distribution channels 01, 02, and 03 share the master data that

I just want to use a picture as my DVD cover, and then insert a slideshow. Also, when I try to burn my 8.5gb double sided slideshow, all that burns is the music. It is a large slideshow, a memorial on the life of my now deceased brother. This means a lot to me and to my family, and I am having so much trouble trying to burn it. I have gone into Project View and selected appropriately. The bar shows I have room to burn this DVD, but it does not burn. I have burned so many DVDs in the past, but this one just will not burn. I am so confused at this point. I will say this is the first 8.5gb I have attempted to create and burn. My specs list a 7.7gb or 4.7gb as operable....but there are no 7.7gb dvds. I had to purchase 8.5gb. Help? What am I doing wrong? I have spent so much time on this, and just cannot figure it out.

Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow. It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them. You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version). Personal preferences showing here.
