Using ATV as part of wireless speaker network

I am considering getting an ATV but had a question. I currently have an Airport Express so that I can connect speakers in other parts of my house to my iTunes wirelessly. Would I also be able to network in the speakers that would be connected to my ATV to that network to add another room to get music throughout my house? Or would I only be able to listen to music through the ATV sync'd iTunes library?

  • How can I use a microphone with a wireless speaker system for announcing at a party?

I am trying to use my computer (which is already wirelessly hooked up to my speakers) as a make shift pa system. Is there a way to hook up a microphone to my computer to use it to do a little announcing at a party?

NI-DAQ is not supposed to detect your GPIB and NI-488 software will not detect your daq board. When you installed MAX, was this from a LabVIEW driver install CD that also put a new version of NI-DAQ on your pc. Open MAX and check your currently installed versions of NI-DAQ and NI-488. They should both be listed. If you have a new version of NI-DAQ than 6.1, you can uninstall the newer version and install 6.1.

  • What happened to my airport extreme that airport utility says used to be part of my network but no longer is found?

I have been working on regaining wireless printing from my MacBook and just discovered something new to me. I brought up Airport Utility and received a screen display showing my network. The diagram box for the Airport Extreme  has a warning icon and clicking on the diagram box for the Airport Extreme  brings up the message that my airport extreme cannot be found and that it USED TO BE part of my network.  The only help given is to check the device and make sure it is plugged into power, within range and connected to the Internet.  Its been a long time since I last set up the Airport Extreme, but it is powered up, in the same place and connected to my cable modem as before.  I continue to  have wireless connection to the Internet from my MacBook and iPhone. What I do not have is wireless connection from the the MacBook to my Brother Printer as I did until, for unknown reasons, it stopped working.
So far, I have checked all the help for the printer problem and wonder if my problem is in the Airport Extreme?  The printer does find the Airport Extreme, but still does not print wirelessly, only by attaching it with USB cable to the MacBook.
Resetting the Airport Extreme will wipe out that setup, but should I do this anyway?  Might it help the printer problem.
Thanks for your help. I've worked on this a long time using available material.

I see now that long questions are not going to be read and answered.  Understandable.  Since writing this I got help on one aspect of question and now have Airport Extreme visible through Airport Utility and it seems to work.   However the wireless printer still does print. On the printer's screen, it recognizes my wireless network and connects. When I try to print from the MacBook, the usual printer icon comes up, but with Printer is Offline.  Printer is Not Connected.  So far, nothing in Apple or Brother help has given me answer to this problem.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Wireless Guest Network using Cisco 4402 as an Anchor Controller

    Hello,
We have recently redesigned our wireless guest network in accordance to Cisco's recommended deployment using the anchor controller in the DMZ. We have created two mobility groups (enterprise and anchor). The anchor controller and DMZ has two subnets (guest managment and guest clients). The guest management subnet is connected to the controller and firewall allowing the mobility groups and EOIP tunnels while the guest client network is also connected to the controller and firewall to push the client traffic directly out the firewall. The setup works well but the one part that I'm not happy with is the DHCP. Currently DHCP is being handled on the firewall because of issues we had with dhcp relay and the controllers internal dhcp service.
Does anyone have any information on getting DHCP relay working or the internal dhcp service on the controllers when using as a anchor?
This is basically the setup guide that we followed.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Mobility/emob41dg/ch10GuAc.html
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Make sure you have the IP helper address configured under the VLAN interface on the L3 and also make sure to disable DHCP proxy on both the WLC (Anchor and Foreign).
This will help us as well..
lemme know if this answered your question..
    Regards
    Surendra

See if the iPad will accept the password after you restart it. It's worth a try.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
You could also try a reset as well.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Why is airplay upload usage so high? (using wireless speaker)

I have a iHome wireless speaker that I play using iTunes Airplay. It works fine but the upload usage is through the roof compared to the download usage (e.g. upload = 128KB/s, download = 7KB/s) - this seems strange, thought it should be the other way around, what am I uploading?  I've turned off all my iCloud settings, am not sending data back to Apple in iTunes so not sure what's going on - anyone else got any clues or knows how to fix this, it's chewing up my bandwidth usage big time.

Actually I figured it out - if you use the Apple Time Capsule as your internet server that seems to cause the upload usage, when I connected the speaker directly to the modem it is back to normal usage. Just thought I'd post this for anyone else who's had this issue.

  • I want to use my airport to connect wirelessly to my linksys network

I want to connect my daughters iMac to our wireless network using an airport base. I have a linksys wireless router and answer iMac connected in another room directly via Ethernet cable. How can I get the airport base to pick up network?

The answer depends on what you intend to do with the AirPort: if you are already using the Linksys for your wireless network, why do you want to use another?
An Apple AirPort Base Station can be configured to serve as an additional wireless access point as long as you connect it directly to your existing router, or it can replace the Linksys. The model number of the Linksys will also be helpful.

  • Extend Wireless Network using a Telstra technicolor Gateway wireless Router to Airpot extreme but Airport will only except join not extend and I can not get a network on the Airpor Extreme ethernet ports but can ping Airport extreme from Technicolor Rout/

Extend Wireless Network using a Telstra technicolor Gateway wireless Router to Airpot extreme but Airport will only except "join a wireless network (which it does) not "extend a wireless network" (Led turns yellow and I can not get a network working on the Airpor Extreme ethernet ports but can ping Airport extreme from Technicolor Router.
    Airport gets it address DHCP.

Funny how I can ping the Extreme but the Hard Ethernet ports dont seem to work correctly.
When the AirPort Extreme is configured to "Join" a wireless network, the Ethernet ports are not enabled.
Oddly, the AirPort Express has a special feature that will allow it to to "Join" virtually any wireless network.....and the Ethernet port can be enabled. So, an Express would work for your purpose to provide an Ethernet connection to the media player. This assumes that the Express is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your main router.
Note that the Express will not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "Joins".

  • I cannot printany web pages or emails over a wireless home network. My OS is windows 7 and am using an Epson printer. I know I have the home network set up correctly as i can print files over the network.

I cannot print any email or web pages over a wireless home network. I know that I can print my files over this network, just not anything from the web or emails using Firefox. I am using Windows 7 and printing to an Epson.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== when I set up the wireless home network.

The most likely reason for this is that the wrong printer is chosen in the File->Print window.
In Firefox, go to File->Print and click the dropdown box with printer names. Ensure that the correct network printer is selected, then try printing again.

any computer in the country you are in would be likely to give the same error

  • I am using an Airport Extreme for wireless and a Netgear VPN Switch for wired connections.  How do I get the two networks to connect?

I am using an Airport Extreme for wireless and also have a Netgear VPN Switch (FV5318) for internal wired ethernet connections.  How do I get the two networks to connect to each other?

Tesserax, I would like to keep the Airport Extreme in nplace before the Netgear FVS318 switch because I am using all of the 8 ethernet outputs distributed to 8 differerent locationsl  This way I can just use one of the LAN outputs from the Airport to feed the FVS318.  Here is what I think I am hearing you say:
Tne reason why the wired and wireless devices are not communicating is because the FVS318G is also a DHCP server and in conflict with the AEBS.
To remedy the situastion here is probably what I need to do in order:
    1. Change the LAN IP Address of the Netgear FVS318G to be the same subnet of the Airport Extreme.
    2. Then, disable the Netgear FVS318G as a DHCP server.
    3. Make sure the ethernet cable from the LAN port of the Airport Extreme connectis to the LAN port of the Netgear FVS318G.
    4. Restart everything.
Can you provide me the steps I need to take to get the right IP addresses from the Airport Extreme to put into the Netgear to fix the conflict?  I have the Airport Utility.  I also have two airport express hot spots, and two Apple TVs in addition to computers attached to the 8 ethernet lines.
    Thank you.

  • I just purchased a JBL charge wireless speaker that is supposed to be compatible with ipad using Bluetooth , but cannot get my ipad to find the device. Please help

How do I connect ipad  to jbl charge wireless speaker using Bluetooth. My ipad and ipad mini do not find device

I am having the same issue as YCandy.  My iPhone 5 paired immediately - then I had bluetooth on my iPhone "forget the device" - but when I try to pair with my iPad it doesn't find the speaker.  I just purchased the JBL Charge wireless.
The directions that come with the speaker are just pictures - shows me how to connect everything and what each light and button means.  But it doesn't explain how to make sure the device is in "pairing mode."   What does that mean exactly?   The power button is blinking Blue - and never pairs with my iPad.
    Any suggestions?

"It" being the iPod Classic I assume.
The iPod Classic does not have Bluetooth.
If the Bose wireless function is Bluetooth, then you could by a Bluetooth transmitter, designed for the Apple 30-pin dock connector. That takes the output from the iPod and sends it via Bluetooth. Power for the transmitter is taken from the iPod.
