Using audio jacks already on computer case, please h

i just bought a new tower and it has the line-in, line-out, and mic jacks in the front. i want to be able to use them with my audigy card. is there a way to hook them up to the card via the AUD_EXT connector? The card i have is model # SB0090. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply,
If the Dri've bay only works on the Li've! series then why does the headphone jack and microphone from the dri've bay work?
Also, I was reading the user's guide manual found on the X-Fi Cd, and it mentioned a Digital I/O Module that has optical and coaxial outputs and inputs. This would work fine, but I can not seem to find this module anywhere

  • Humming when using audio jacks

I purchased my (HP 110-023 Desktop) last August. When I hook it up to my receiver (3.5mm to RCA Cable) I am getting a noisy hum coming through my speakers. These are the steps that I have already tried:1) Cable (hooked up multilpe other items such as an ipod, etc.) with no noise coming through speakers until hooked back up to PC.2) Tried plugging PC into multiple different outlets (In case it is a ground problem) with no success.3) Run new ground wire from back of receiver with no success.4) used new audio cable with no success.5) In the last month I have sent it to HP to get it repaired. They put in a new soundcard, etc. (SAME ANNOYING PROBLEM).I hope someone can help me.

  • My computer died. I do not want to loose one video on my iPod, how can I  use the iPod  on another computer? Please help!

please advise how I can put my iPod on another computer, my old one died a slow death.  There is one short video on my iPod that can't  be replaced.

    - What is the source of the videos? If taken by the iPod you can transfer them to the new computer by:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
    - If they were iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    - If they were synced to the iPod and not iTunes purchases then you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView.

  • Motion 5 Crashes on Mountain Lion when using audio behaviors to affect filters. Please help, Thanks!

When editing videos in Motion, I like to use the Audio parameters to have the filters react to the different amplitudes in the song. When using this combination. Motion runs extremely slow then crashes.

How much RAM is in that MBP?
I'd make sure you have at least 15% of your hard drive capacity as free space.
In the Render menu (top right of canvas) be sure to turn off everything you're not using (shadows, etc), and lower the resolution to make playback easier for your laptop.  You can change these back to full resolutoin when you export.
You can try to trash Motion's pref files quickly and safely with "Preference Manager", free from Digital Rebellion (dot com).
If that doesn't work, move the Motion app from the Applications folder to the Trash.  Launch the App Store, in the Purchased tab, click Install for Motion.
But be sure that MBP is maxed out on RAM for stuff like Motion.

  • APEX Interactive Report Compute Case with multiple conditions to highlight

My ultimate is to highligt a row in an interactive report based on two conditions. I didn't see a way to use the highligt feature with two conditions. So I thought I would try to create a computation based on the two conditions. Then use that result for the highligting. Though I don't seem to be a be able to use multiple conditions in my computation Case statement. Is there a different syntax?
    Here is what I have:
    Case
      When  C = 'Open' and  I > 15 Then 'True'
      Else 'False'
End The error I get is: Invalid computation expression. and
    Application Express 4.0.2.00.07
    Thanks!

I'm surprised no one responded to this. What I did to resolve this issue was create a nested case statement. I don't think this was a good solution, but I can't find anyone else giving input. I know I can create another computational column in the select statement for the report, but the 'Interactive Report' part is where this should be. I want my clients to calculate what they want. Kind of hard when you can not use an 'and' for a range criteria.

  • SBLive! Value + Computer Case's Audio Jack

    Hi,
A few years back, I bought a SBLi've! Value (ct4670). I recently put together a new PC with integrated sound, but I've decided to revert back to my SBLi've card for higher quality audio.
    Now to my question:
My new PC case has external audio connectors built into the front for convenience/accessibility. The motherboard's audio solution had a set of 9 pins that worked with these connectors, and so I was able to use the computer case's audio jacks. The SBLi've! Value (CT4670) has a similar looking set of 9 pins (labelled JP2), but the manual does not describe the function of these pins. I was wondering if anyone had any info as to whether or not I will be able to use my case's audio connectors in conjunction with my SBLi've! Value card.
    Thanks for your help!

Is there anything lodged inside the port?
Have you tried another pair of known functioning headphones?  If they do not work, then there is a problem with the port.  A trip to an Apple store then would be the best option.
    Ciao.

  • I want to use my computer as speakers for my mp3 without copying all of the music onto the computer. I can get the audio jack working as an input, but how do i get the computer to play that?

I have a macbook pro and want to use it like external speakers. I have the audio imput registering from the audio jack, but cant get it to play anything. any ideas??

    Hi,
If your MP3 player is an iPod, iPhone Just plug it into your computer, open iTunesand the devices section you'll see. Select the song you want to listen and ready, use it as your computer speakers

  • Computer Case Audio Pan

Hey people. I've got two questions?to ask, slightly off from each other but anyway... Firstly the reason I started this post. I was wondering how I can connect my soundcard (SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatality)?to the case audio jacks (headphone and microphone jacks). The reason I ask is because I want to be able to plug my monitor speakers into the back of my computer and my headphones into the case frontal panel (NOT the X-Fi console). Where would I connect the jumpers onto the soundcard if this is possible? Otherwise (and this is my second question) am I able to use the X-Fi jacks for my headphones and the AC'97 onboard sound for my monitor speakers? I remember reading in the past that there can be conflicts from having two different sound devices so I disabled my AC'97 so that I can use the SoundBlaster effecti'vely. Thanks

it is posable to use the case conectores. but not directly. it requires aditional parts.
some were around here i've got a mag that teles ya what parts and were to get them at.

  • How do I use one audio jack as input and one as output?

On my MacBook Pro, if I get a USB-headphone connector (to add another audio port), will I be able to set one audio port as input and the other as output? To use the port coming out of the USB jack as a headphone jack, and plug a mic/output device into the computer's port?
I'm thinking about buying a "Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter". I have a preamp that is NOT an interface, and I want to be able to monitor what I'm doing so I can multitrack. But my MacBook only having one audio 1/8 inch jack makes it so I have to choose either input OR output...I'm hoping if I add an extra port via USB I'll be able to have one of each.
    Thank you!

Yes, either way round. In System Preferences>Sound you can set the input and output ports separately.
Roger, the System setting have -Nothing- to do with the question being asked. Do you use Logic Pro audio software? If you did you would know Logic has it's own audio settings that run independently from the System audio. There's also the fact that Maverick has problems with "some" older USB 2.0 audio hardware. Basically, this is not a slam-dunk, that's why I suggested asking someone if they've used this combination before. Although... the USB audio device is cheap ($10) it might be worth it to try. Still.............**
** I question the wisdom of using cheap audio hardware on a computer that cost $1000+, software that costs $200 and then using the internal audio chip ($2) and an external monitoring device that costs $10. Defeats the whole purpose of using professional audio software.

Just saw your thread, and it looked like a candidate for the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce Roll Back the Driver issue. If your computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card, then the following applies to you. You do not want to update the driver. Rather you want to roll back the driver version, probably to about May 2013. For your convenience I have done a copy/paste of the forum announcement which gives all the details and fix of the matter.
Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1317675
Older NVIDIA GeForce drivers can be found
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
A February 2014 overview of the situation as well as how to use the older NVIDIA GeForce drivers for the driver roll back can be found
    http://atr935.blogspot.com/2014/02/pe10-nvidia-video-card-roll-back.html
This matter has been very specific to the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce card user. So, if your computer is using other than a NVIDIA GeForce card, it is likely that the message does not apply to you, and we can then explore other troubleshooting possibities.
Looking forward to your follow up. Do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything written here.
    Thanks.

  • No sound from audio jack and screen doesn't dim, using BootCamp 3.1 in Win7

    I'm using BootCamp 3.1 in Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009)
When I plug in headphones I get no output sound; however, I do get sound from the main speakers (regardless of the headphones being connected or not). Side note, there is no red light coming from the audio jack.
Another problem that I'm having: when I try to dim the display, using either F1 or F2, or from the BootCamp Control Panel in the Dim tab, it doesn't dim.
I've saw in Apple's Support Download section that there is "Boot Camp Update for MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) (Windows 64 bit)", but as you can see it's "Mid 2010" and not "Mid 2009".
However, for the sake of exhausting everything I can think of before posting here, I tried to download and install it. Only to get an error that states "The patch upgrade cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be updated may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be updated exists on your computer and that you have the correct update patch."
    Any suggestions?
