• Auto-fill username and password?

When I sign into a website firefox used to ask if I want my username and password to be remembered but has stopped that feature. How do I get firefox to activate that feature again so it will
remember my username and password when I open the sign-in page again?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.
To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:
*Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
*Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Tonefox, surely, if 90% of posters find their answers in the manual, this site would hardly be much help, other than to say, "read the manual "
Correct.

• IOS8 / Safari not auto filling alternate account info and password

Hello,
since upgrading to iOS8 on my iPad4, Safari no longer auto fills alternate account / password info on same website. 'Settings' shows that I have multiple login/pass infos available for the same site.
PReviously, I could initiate the first couple letters of the account name, and the option to have Safari auto populate the rest of the info would be available.

I should also mention I am not in private mode.

• Auto-fill

When using the work wireless network, I need to re-register as the connection times out from time to time. To do this, the user needs to fill out the e-mail field under the network's Terms and Conditions. I used to be able to use auto fill with my contact info instead of re-typing the e-mail each time, which is a pain as it's a long address. I even verified that the auto fill function is turned on in settings and that it is referencing the correct contact info, but it still is not working. The same problem exists with my iPad. Not sure, but I believe that it stopped working after installing IOS 6. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried doing a hard reset of the device to see if that does any good? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
It might help to also clear history, cookies, and cache via Settings app -> Safari.

• Wrong contacts used by Auto Fill

My wife and I share our MacBook Air, each with our own profile. When I use Auto Fill for any web site it always uses my wife's contact info and I can't seem to change the Auto Fill to use my contact details. Changing to OS X Yo

In addition to question posed. I have tried opening contacts, selecting card and make this my card with no joy.

• How do you get auto fill to use the right E-mail address?

Hi Everyone
My address book card has multiple E-mail addresses on it. Yet when I want to use auto fill to fill out a form, 100% of the time it's just one address I want to use. The problem is safari always uses only one of the addresses and it's not the one I want to use. Is there a way to change which address (or any other field) from your address card is used in auto fill?
TIA
K

Since you don't say how many email addresses you have on your own card or which of them it's picking, I'll assume it's choosing the first one in the list. If that's correct and it's not the one you want, you need to change the order of addresses to make the one you want be the first one in the list.
Other than that, you cannot set a default item for any field.

• 2013 Safari not auto filling password

Safari suddenly stopped auto filling userids and passwords. I rechecked all of my "Auto Fill" preferences and they are fine. It also is now saying that the password is changed and do I want to save the new one. If I say Not Now I get signed in so perhaps the password keychain is corrupted; but, if I do say to save it, then the next time I sign in it still doesn't work. Seems like Apple released a revision without testing everything. Isn't that Microsoft's trick?

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

• How to auto-fill a book using only one master page

I'm designing a rather simple photo book in Aperture. I have a master page setup with six 2x3 image boxes per page. Each image box has a metadata field for caption and for date/time. I want to select a large number of images and auto-fill the book using only this master page. As you might guess, its just going to be a presentation of a large number of photographs, scrapbook style, with the caption and time of each image. Nothing fancy, intentionally.
Problem is when I tell Aperture to auto-fill the images, if it needs a new page it randomly grabs a master page layout. I want all pages to use only this specific master page.
Can this be done? Adding my own pages and dragging and dropping images by hand will be too cumbersome when a book might have 300+ images in it.

Problem is when I tell Aperture to auto-fill the images, if it needs a new page it randomly grabs a master page layout. I want all pages to use only this specific master page.
Create a new, empty version of your master page and duplicate it as often as you want using the key combination ⌘D. Delete all pages with a layout that you not want.
When you have enaough empty pages use auto-fill. It will fill the empty pages you just created.
For example - plenty of pages using the same master layout, auto-filled:

• Wrong auto-fill info

Today I attempted to use auto-fill for an online order. When I selected auto-fill it filled in the form with someone I don't know. All their information was there.
The address is non-existent and it's an unkown phone number. It is not someone that is anywhere in my address book. This is the first time this has ever happened. All I did yesterday was use software update for the security update issued.
Any advice? Should I be very nervous right now??

Strange, although I don't believe there is any cause for alarm. Did someone else use your computer?
To remedy, go to your Safari Preference file (Safari Menu) and select Auto-fill.
Next, select "edit" for other forms. Remove the web site in question.
Some prefer to deselect "other forms", or review it on occasion, deleting no longer used web sites. If the file gets bloated, it can slow down Safari.
