Using barcodes with SAPConsole

Hi,guys
Can anyone fill me in how i can use barcodes in RF development with SAPConsole, for example to introduce custom treatment of barcodes?

At my company, we have "travelers", forms with info about the product to be built. On this form there is a barcode for the production order. When the product is finished being built, the user scans the barcode with a stationary barcode scranner(running sapconsole), this triggers a production order confirmation and printing of a shipping label. All of our sapconsole transactions are custom made.
Stationary scanners: Intermec 2480 Antares
RF Handheld scanners: Intermec 2425 Antares
Telnet Server: Georgia Softworks Telnet Server
SAPconsole: Sapconsole 640

Using barcodes with Oracle / no 3rd party

Is anyone aware of or doing barcodes with Oracle... be it sql/plus, reports, etc. without using 3rd party packages? I have been asked to research how we can produce documents that contain barcodes in pdf format. I have found 3rd party packages that do it but am tasked with finding if there is a way without those add-ons.

If this is on a mac, my guess is that you are choosing the obvious file as your external editor rather than the correct one. You want this one:
The file at the top level of the PSE 10 folder is just an alias to the welcome screen.

Using exits with SAPConsole

Hello collegues,
I have a problem using RF exits. I need to change the screen 2151 of the program 'SAPLLMOB'.
I had follow those steps:
1. created the custom screen 9151 in the program SAPLXLRF
2. inserted in spro Customizing for Logistics -> Mobile Data Entry -> Define Screen Management the follow entry with field variant setted to 1
SAPLLMOB 16X20 Narrow format 1 0151 Storage unit count 9151
3.Created a project in CMOD with setting the dummy screen as follow:
SAPLLMOB 1151 EXIT0101 SAPLXLRF 9151
But when I launch the transaction lm58, I continue to see the standard screen and I don't see my custom screen..... why?

Yes the project is activated. I put as a break point in the exit but when i call LM58 transaction, the program dosen't stop.

Hi guys!!
My requirement is adding a verification field in 2212 Screen of the SAPLLMOB program.
Readin other post i got to change my screen with the verification field.
I followed all the indications in this post
but my question is Why didn´t my screen modules works?
My screen has all of this modules but no one works and when a i tried to
MODULE STATUS_SCREEN_GROUP3.
MODULE TAP_DISPLAY.
MODULE SPECIAL_FIELD_OUTPUT.
MODULE SET_VALUES.
MODULE SET_CURSOR.
what do i need to do?

Even i have to add some feilds in screen 2212 in LM05. But for me already there is an exit used to add a feild in screen 2212. now i need to delete that and add a fresh with two feilds. how i can do that..?

Image barcode file creating with report using barcode javabean

hi all
I have report in report 9i using barcode javabean.
at runtime my report make image file with barcodevalue name on desktop.
i have to change this folder .I dont want to have this image file on desktop.
i set REPORTS_TMP on registery but i have this file on desktop again.
what set i must do to change this folder?

1. I couldn't find example for Web Report with a Barcode JavaBean .it described in document but

so i could not find "ShippingManifestWeb.rdf" .
2. you know i need paper report .i find in document in
'To update the paths' part and in this part described :
" In the Web Source view, look for the text: Define Path information for your barcode images.
Under this text, update the paths to make sure they point to the directories where your images will be generated (e.g., d://temp//docroot//images// and images//). Be sure to maintain the integrity of the paths we provide. "
as you see it's about webpaper cause in paper example
i didn't see these text in web source.
is there any things that i didn't attend? is there another document ? could you help me again ?
i really have trouble with it.

Export to pdf failed while using Barcode 128 with CR Basic 2008

Hello,
I get the following error message when I try to export a Crystal Report Document to pdf: Error in File
"C:\DOKUME1\URSULA1.HAR\LOKALE~1\Temp\temp_57163b88-26f9-43c1-8043-d3938772b762 {F54D4509-BFEF-444C-B672-DF893EEBD942}.rpt": Operation not yet implemented.
This error only apears when the report contains a barcode with the font Code-128 (print in Barcodetype 128). Is this function not possible with Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008? Must I install an additional tool?

Archivelinking using barcodes in HR T&E workflow

Hi all,
As part of Travel & Expenses workflow in HR we have a requirement of linking images of the trip receipts first to the trip document (BUS2089) and then to the FI document (bus type: BKPF) using archivelinking with barcode (late storing scenario).
The trip receipts are scanned and the images are stored as image document in a external content repository system. For the link to be established between the trip document and the image document, an entry is created in the link table TOA01 with a unique id for the image document called arc_doc_id. Linking images to the trip document in HR system is straightforward.
But how to link the same image document to the FI document created in another system. HR and FI systems are linked via ALE.

Please refere to the below path and try to supress/block the required characteristics.
SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> Travel Management --> Travel Expenses --> Dailog and Travel Expenses Control --> Forms --> Form structure for ABAP list --> Modules of Form Variant --> Form block Characteristics --> suppress information/columns
The entire block will be hidden from the layout. But, does the users have access to PR05 transaction..?
If you want to mask only the card number, then the changes can be easily done in the FORM, by the ABAP team.

I can't to print a barcode with CODE128C

I need somebody that can`t help me, I have a design report for to print barcode, and I`am using the Barcode with the file oraclebarcode.jar, When I print it, I try to read the barcode whit the reader but don`t read nothing.... This always happen if I use the constant 128_C, but when I use other for example 128 or 128B the reader read good.
Please, Somebody tell me how can I do it? Who has worked in Oracle Reports 10g with barcodes printing Code 128C?

There is nothing to do with forms. The barcode settings force cursor to jump to next record not actually net record it add enter key press in the last. So, if there is no field in the same block navigable then it will jump to next record.

Why do we use barcodes in scripts.....

I want to know the reason why we use barcodes in scripts and smartforms.Generally barcodes are used to print Material no and batch numb on covers of any product.So what is the neccessity to print these in scripts and smartforms.

HI,
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.
Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.

How to print 2D barcode with SAPGOF device type

I only see some pre-defined standard barcode like BC_93, BC_C128B in the SAPGOF device type.
How can I define and print a 2D barcode like QR Code or Data Matrix with SAPGOF device type?

Zebra printers are very good usable for printing your kind of barcode.
You can use the barcode designer of Zebra.
Below a example of ZPL code tp print your QR barcode (with explanation behind).

Generating barcode with AI's (Application Identifiers)

Hello all,
I am facing an issue with the generation of barcode with AI's. I have a requirement to generate barcode with the data which concatenates 3 different fields and to differentiate those three fields, AI's (Application Identifiers) or DFI's (Data Field Indicators) must be used.
Ex: (01)12445545(17)020200(10)8823344
here (01),(17) and (10) are the AI's. Can any one provide a solution to encode this kind of data and generate barcode using EAN-128 font. Did any one worked on this kind of requirement in BI Publisher earlier ?

I have tried with several ways to encode the total string using the java class as mentioned in the xmlpublisher blogs but could not able to generate a correct barcode. I have also gone through the IDAutomation site and found few ways of encoding the data.
I have used BarcodeUtil.java and used the code128 method to encode the data and applied the code128 font to it.
Placed these two commands in the RTF.

In the xml data, for the BARCODE_DATA column, I have concatenated the three fields by trying the following different formats as shown below. (by looking at the ID Automation examples).

Data that I gave for the field:
1) ~2120112445545~21217020200~212108823344
2) Ê0112445545Ê17020200Ê108823344
But the barcode which was generated was not correct in both the ways 1) and 2). I tried to compare this barcode with the barcode that was generated online from the IDAutomation site for the same example data.
Can anyone suggest any method to handle this kind of data in XMLP. if possible, please provide a sample example.

As Winston Churchill wrote, however you might want to do a factory reset on the Apple TV.
This way all information pertaining to your daughter will be removed from the device. Specifically if see was sign into any of the streaming service, Netflix, Hulu, etc. her credentials will still be associated with this Apple TV, doing a factory reset will remove all that and make it as if you purchased the device and just plugged it in.

OPEN CURSOR using a WITH clause in the select query

I am using Oracle 9i. I have a requirement where I have a REFCURSOR as an OUT parameter for my procedure. I have declared the TYPE and created the procedure.
In the procedure, I am using OPEN <cursor_name> FOR <query>;
Ideally this works in most of the cases that I have tried earlier. However, in the current case I am using a WITH clause in my query to get the results.
I need help in understanding if the above mentioned syntax would not allow me to use the WITH clause in the query.

What error do you get , seems to work ok for me on 10g
SQL> begin
2 open :cv for 'with x as (select * from emp) select * from x';
3 end;
